Unique experience- unique dishes
We had a unique experience, the chef Rakel Cernicharo was very friendly and very active in all the cooking and attending the guests of the restaurant. The food was delicious, impeccable service of the waiters.
Roller coaster of flavors
Very nice place, perfect service, very particular wines (let yourself be advised) and a tasting menu that stimulates every last taste bud. Each dish has several preparations with the same main ingredient...and each one different! Of 10 dishes (Medium menu) 5 were good (starter with various chocolates -corn, carrot, beet and almonds-, onion tart, squid, beef, mushrooms) and another 5 were authentic flavor bombs: tomato, salmon, coconut, cocoa and final chocolates (apple, raspberry and cherry). I will repeat. They change the menu every few months.
A wonderful and unique culinary experience
We’re foodies who have travelled extensively for many years and eaten in many Michelin starred restaurants. We both independently came to the same conclusion about Karak. We have never eaten in a non-starred restaurant that more richly deserved a Michelin star (or two) than Karak. It often seems Michelin-starred restaurants these days believe the way to distinguish themselves is with at least a few overly-pretentious tasting courses involving seldom-seen menu items. The most recent example I can think of was a course featuring two tiny heads-on squid. The wow factor was in the presentation. It tasted OK but was nothing to write home about. Karak’s presentations are impressive but the wow of this unique tasting menu is in taking rather normal ingredients and turning them into course after course of WOW tasting experiences. For example this menu included among others a tomato course, a mushroom course a squid course, a beef course and a turbot course. It was a 9-course tasting experience that turned into 11 but it was really many more individual items. For example, the first “appetizer” course consisted of 8 different offerings, totally unrelated but each one a “treat” not to be missed. The owner (the man with the full beard) is fully and enthusiastically engaged directly with customers throughout the evening. He will undoubtedly present at least 1-2 courses to you directly during the evening. We didn’t know he was the owner until we asked if he was the sommelier because of his detailed knowledge of a wine he was presenting. Only then did he tell us he was the owner. If you like wine, I’d recommend the wine pairings. You can get a 6-glass pairing for 60E or a 10-glass pairing for 90E. We had the 10-glass pairing and the total bill for the food and wine for two was 414E. The pours are light and should not overwhelm you. Wine is obviously a matter of individual taste. We have a wine cellar and our tastes are reasonably sophisticated. None of the wines you get will be big, full-bodied, expensive reds. There were only a couple of the wines served that we agreed we would consider adding to our cellar. That said, we consider the care taken to match each wine, most from very small producers, to each course was so on-point that it was one of the best wine pairing experiences we can remember. A great example was the unusual wine chosen for the tomato course. You will know what I mean when you taste this wine. Each course is carefully explained but Karak does something we’ve never seen before. There is also a large card that fully explains the course, its components and the specific tastes to look for as you are eating it. This card is placed in a stand-up card holder so you can refer to it as you are eating each course. It adds to the fun. There’s one more surprise with each course we’ve never seen in any restaurant. I’ll leave you to discover it. I can just tell you if you are a foodie this wonderful experience is simply not to be missed. Enjoy!
Unforgettable experience
An unforgettable journey for those who feel it! Fantastico! Talent! It's a very creative cuisine from a visual and taste point of view, an explosion of flavors in the mouth, boldness, surprises! The room is very comfortable, the staff welcoming, we feel a real passion in this cuisine and we share it. The 9-course menu is copious, everything was excellent, combined with the waltz of wines, each as surprising as the next, I had a fabulous time, it was a wonderful gift for my birthday. I really enjoyed the adventure, and I can't wait to go back! thank you Rakel, Javier, the waiters and cooks, mostly women. BRAVO👌

Sublime experience, everything was right. A surprising concept, developed down to the last detail. Quality and presentation extremely well taken care of. Surprising and delicious tasting menu. I need to emphasize the excellent wine pairing, all very special and totally right for each dish. The attention of the staff, impeccable. You can see the motivation behind each dish created, the care taken in every detail… in short, absolutely recommended!

After a few months since the last visit, we confirm that Rakel continues to delight us with her wonderful creations. Congratulations on the new dishes that we had not yet tried and that have turned out to be a delight for the palate. Fantastic, as always!!! We will be back soon for sure!!!
An absolute must for the culinary explorer
A delicious menu with surprising combinations made this a very successful evening! We chose the 'medium' menu, which consists of 10 courses and is certainly sufficient for a dinner. In retrospect, we might have preferred to order the slightly more extensive menu, but purely because we were curious about what other special combinations had been devised. The staff is very attentive and friendly. In short, highly recommended!
An unforgettable experience
We went to this restaurant to celebrate our wedding with our closest friends and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The food was exquisite. A few days before I was a little nervous about the concept of the menu (which is that each dish can only contain one main ingredient, prepared in different ways) but it was a total success. Everything was delicious and, the 7 diners, we loved discovering each creation. Of the 10 dishes there were only a few that we liked a little less. After the meal we spent an hour trying to rank our three favorite dishes, but it was very difficult because we thought they all looked amazing. I don't want to give details of the menu because I know they prefer the surprise to be part of the experience, although I need to say that the sweet cocoa dish is probably the most delicious and interesting dessert I have ever tried. They treated us great from the first moment, they adapted perfectly to our different tastes and intolerances. They even took the trouble to place them in a more intimate space so we could enjoy ourselves in peace. As if this were not enough, both the atmosphere of the establishment and the attention to detail and service were exceptional. Furthermore, Javier had wonderful and very special taste when it came to choosing the wines with which we accompanied the food. I certainly recommend that if you go to this restaurant, and you can, you take the pairing or harmony option. In short, we have all been truly delighted. Congratulations to Rakel for having created such a risky and interesting menu, and to the entire team for the great work.
Karak - a culinary and artistic journey
Dinner at Karak was a fantastic experience. A culinary journey arranged by a couple with their souls into food and wine. A nine-course-dinner with accompanying wines that made your palate so happy! Food was art! The owner, the chef and the rest of the staff were fantastic, made us feel at home despite being in a high style restaurang. We couldn't have celebrated our anniversary in a better place. Can really be recommended - worth every euro!
Creative rollercoaster delight!
Absolutely brilliant! Every part of the culinary experience is done with love and passion. The flavors are balanced and mind blowing, the kombuchas a great alternative if you are unable to taste their extraordinary wines, the gems of what Spain has to offer. And the attentiveness of the staff is incomparable to any restaurant I've been before. Thank you Rakel and Javier, it has been fun and a delight to visit you again!
The Very Best Dining Experience of our Lives
We are foodies from NYC, and prior to this month we had an amazing meal at Per Se in NYC. However, the tasting menu and dining experience we had here at Karak, surpassed everyone. This was the best meal my wife and i have ever had, period. The theme was so unusual- each course consisted of at least 5-6 components, but all the same type of selection, just from different parts of the world and each component prepared to be just a part of each amazing course. The world was their theme, and the chef and owner spent half the evening out in the small dining area, talking with us and explaining the menu to us- her passion and talent made this meal rise above all others. Her partner added to the experience, and the atmosphere of the restaurant fit perfectly, our dining experience. Thank you so much for this extraordinary experience.

How do I modify?! I am no longer traveljng that day but since the reservations opened up today someone grabbed it and is working on it for a month from now and i cant figure out how to and if i can modify the date!
