Made a reservation, as you need to these days, and the two of us enjoyed a tasting. We had the excellent Jeff who was sooo good at answering our many questions. He was very knowledgeable about the basic chemistry of winemaking and made it is easy to understand.

The wines at Knights Bridge were great, they had a few we really enjoyed and we ended up with two bottles to take home! Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a little strange to have to sit for a tasting at a table on the sidewalk but that's due to COVID. Also, a little background information on the building that the tasting room is housed in, would have been a plus. It's an old bank building, but we weren't given any back story. All in all, worth a stop!

If you want a private and exclusive wine tasting/food pairing this is the spot! Great wines although a bit pricey, the place in town used to be an old bank and is on the second floor, so it's kind of hidden. The reason we took interest in this spot is because the building is mint and that's "our color". The guy doing the tasting was really informative and passionate about what he does. He said they were planning on actually buying land and planting their own vines. Hope they are on track and wish them luck!

Great tasting at Knights Bridge Winery with Jorge last weekend! Fantastic Chardonnay and Cabernets from Knight's valley with the added bonus of trying two Cabernets from To Kalon and Dr. Crane vineyards. Highly recommend a visit! The location is a bit hidden but it's in the old bank building in Calistoga with tastings held upstairs in the old vault. Fun experience!

Knights Bridge Cabernet Sauvignon 2006 Jammy, rich with dark fruit such as black cherry, black berry, touch of dark plum in complex undertones of leather, mocha, vanilla, smokey sage. Lower acidity and smooth tannins make this Cabernet Sauvignon ideal for sipping as a pre or post prandial. Also great as an accompaniment to fruit compote, trifles, even dark bitter chocolates. I can also see this wine pair well with caramelized onions/garlic infused meat dishes that are slow cooked and also are caramelized by the open flame. The average price of this Cabernet is about $100 so to most of us, it would be a splurge wine for that festive meal that might include prime Wagyu (Wah Gheeyu) steaks, garlic infused potatoes au gratin rich with heavy cream, vegetables steamed and sprinkled with black truffle oil, and light wild salad greens dressed only with walnut or hazelnut oil, Japanese Rice Vinegar, and sea salt from Miyako, Okinawa. The culinary possibilities are endless as the imagination.
