King's Arms Tavern Williamsburg Reviews
Quality has really fallen off
Hubs and I used to frequent CW back in the 90s and Aughts, and Kings Arms was a must-do every time we went. We loved the atmosphere, the food, everything. Our 2025 experience was not at that level. The hostesses were not welcoming. When we walked
Avoid the 2pm “Lighter Fare” option
This was recommended to us and we found it underwhelming. First, you must reserve a table days if not weeks ahead. They do allow walk-ins at 2 pm for lighter fare. We found our peanut and vegetable soups mediocre. Our house salads were better and

I really wanted to love this place.
Truly. The vibes were great--friendly service, charming colonial atmosphere, and live entertainment that could have earned a standing ovation. Then came dinner. My Manhattan arrived looking like it was mixed for a dollhouse party--tiny, delicate, an
Disappointing
We had dinner at King's Arms while visiting Williamsburg. We've dined there several times in the past. We were seated a little late as the restaurant was busy. They seat by room so everyone enters at the same time. We heard several serv
Delicious and authentic dinner at my old haunt
It has been 54 years since I waited tables at the King's Arms Tavern. Some things have changed. But one thing has not: One still eats well at the tavern. This was my second return to my old stomping grounds, and I really enjoyed it. They were ki

The food was fabulous and the servers Stephen and Miranda were great. Ask for them when you make reservations the atmosphere and humor is worth twice the price.
Lovely restaurant.
The food service and atmosphere were excellent. A little pricey with the least expensive main course being 38.00. However, here they serve the lovely peanut soup. Completes your stay in Colonial Williamsburg.

Great food! Very interesting historical background from servers, Stephen and Miranda.
We had wonderful food. The servers, Stephen and Miranda did a great job giving historical background information. Their commentary added so much to the experience.
Horrible experience
Anti White racism and rude entitled staff before you even enter. We were "greeted" by a black lady who asked " Gotz a rezervashun?" . No smile, nothing. As we were led to our table not one person greeted us or smiled. The hostess

This is a must do for history lovers and foodies alike.
I would highly recommend dining here, I would discourage anyone with small children as the menu is not geared towards them. Our server Steve, was fantastic, he explained about the room we were dining in, what it would've been used for, the typic

While in Williamsburg, we decided to go to a traditional tavern for dinner. We did not made reservations and were lucky to find a spot upon arrival. This restaurant is located right on the Colonial Williamburg street. It is open a few hours for lunch
Pricey and not that great
The dining experience was unique and enjoyable - they have everyone serving in period costume and the server was great. The issue I have is with the price. Even for lunch, everything was around $25 and up. And the kids' meal came with carrots th
One of the go-to spots in Williamsburg for food.
The service was incredibly good! Everyone was so friendly. Presentation was down to the smallest details; and they really brought history to life in a remarkable way. We enjoyed the snow eggs, chocolate tart, and homemade ice cream. I would also like
Had a wonderful evening at King's Arms Tavern.
Stephen and Miranda were excellent servers, with the story telling ability to take us back to 1776. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Thank you Stephen and Miranda for making sure our experience exceeded expectations.
Great colonial lunch
One of my favorite lunches ever. Felt like I was in a colonial restaurant. The food was great. I had the pork shank. My daughter had the brisket burger. Highly recommend.
More hype than what it's worth!! Don't bother
Stopped in earlier in the day to check out the menu before making reservations. Was met with a few grumpy, one word answer ladies. We were reluctant to reserve because these three women were miserable looking. But read the reviews(TripAdvisor) ...so
