Kirby Café Sumida City Reviews
Cute but overpriced
The Kirby cafe is definitely cute but way overpriced compared to other character cafes we've visited and ordered the same amount of menu items. Unless you are a die-hard Kirby fan, I recommend skipping this one. Even die-hard fans could skip this one, too. You can go to the Kirby shop across the hall it has cute merchandise you can even order take out from the cafe and purchase items from the cafe without the added hassle of rerserving a spot. Very annoying that they were out of certain items early in the day. The restroom is quite far from the cafe itself as well. Food was so-so, but I never expect amazing food from a place like this. On the positive side, the music in the cafe was all Kirby themed, so it added to the ambiance, the plating, and silverware were on point for a character cafe.
Great experience!
Very glad we went and everyone in our group had fun. It is a little silly for sure but kids or young at heart will enjoy. Excellent friendly service from everyone. Will need to make a reservation The food is not the best but experience sure is
Can order food to go
We were not able to secure a reservation in advance, so we ordered some burgers to go. The wait was about an hour, so we shopped around the Sky Tree. We ordered two burgers which came with potato wedges and star hash browns, along with adorable containers for around $30.
Cute for families
We were looking for a quirky Japan experience and this was a cute spot for lunch. We made the reservation 1 1/2 months in advance online - they did not accept walk-ins. All the food is Kirby themed and the servers are all very aware that this is an influencer location for taking photos, so they are always willing to snap a pic. It was cute but the food was meh, as you might expect. It's really geared more towards kids palettes. We received 3 Kirby coasters and a pizza plate as part of the meal. Recommend for families and influencers, but maybe not for adult couples.
Lucky last minute
I seen an influencer share about Kirby Cafe and heard you had to book ahead (sometimes a month in advance) . I was lucky enough to jump online and book for that same night (assuming a cancellation) . It’s on level 4 by the way , of like a mall . It’s outside . By the sky tower entrance (hope that helps). They took my photo at the entrance display - I only speak English and they have the process written in English as well , so it’s easy to follow along . Lovely service , patient and happy waiters . The prices were fine for me , I spend roughly the same on food back in Australia but I did get the science experiment looking drink - for the experience really . The waiters talk you thru the steps and its yummy . Like a raspberry lemonade . All my food was delicious . They gave me honey for my cheese pizza, which confused me at first - but it was so good . I did have a half half pizza - but wish I got all cheese and added the honey hahaha . My dessert was good , the cream buzzed me out . It was like mousse cream and sweet . I had like 3 dollops on my plate - I was every happy . Easy to pay at the end - there’s a little gift shop there too .

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Kirby Café Sumida City at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Kirby Café Sumida City page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Kirby Café Sumida City to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Kirby Café Sumida City!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
