La Bodeguilla Palma Reviews
Over ordered
We over-ordered but maybe that because the menu was so good. Maybe staff could’ve advised? But probably saw our bellies and thought we knew what we were doing 😃 Beautiful setting - in an unassuming alley way is a gorgeous bodega. Dishes full of flavour especially the highly recommended lobster soup but maybe we could’ve done without the multiple tapas besides this. Expertly attended to. Enjoy!
Great cuisine, mediocre service
Truly Michelin cuisine, fantastic Jamon serrano, burrata, calamary, ham croquettes. Only the service falls short of the quality of the cuisine. It's a pity.
Authentic Tapas
Lovely service Wonderful selection of tapas - oysters were fresh, croquettes and octopus were fantastic- the calamari was too chewy. We were grateful to have found a table as we did not book.
Delicious
Food is delicious. We tried the sea bass and the suckling pig and both were great. We also had the fideuá as appetizer and it was great. Service is very good as well. You need reservation
Poor service
The food was good, but unfortunately, the service was very under par from what you would expect in this type of restaurant. The waiter was very dry, did not welcome us, did not ask us where we were from, and was basically a robot the entire night. He even made some comments regarding the menu while walking past the table without actually stopping to look at us in our face to explain some of the items that were not available that night. He never talked about specials or anything special about the menu. As I was giving him my order, there was a point where he said, “hold on.” I asked him during the middle of the meal if there was something stressing him out, and he simply said no. For someone who has traveled all over the world, this was by far the biggest disappointment in service. There was even a point where he sneezed extremely loud and he had to apologize. It’s unfortunate because this was our last night in Palma, and this is not what we expected from this restaurant.
Perfect spanish restaurant in the city centre
If xou are looking for a spanish restaurant in the centre you should enjoy this restaurant Big menu, excellent quality, great service and atmosphere We have been there for lunch two times Many locals as well, we enjoyed everything very much
Best food ever
Fantastic experience! The place is cozy, service is great. Food was just amazing. We did an assortment of tapas: croquetas, bread with tomato, the octopus and the pork. Delicious and foid came fast. The octopus was suoer tender, the pork was out of this world and the croquetas were beyond excellent. You wont regret it.
Found this gem by pure happenstance.
We didn't think we would be able to walk in and be seated, and we were! They informed us that there was a reservation two hours later and that we would have to be finished by then, which we understood. I had the filet and it was the best I've ever had. The aioli was amazing, everything was fantastic. This was the highlight of my first trip to Mallorca and I haven't stopped talking about it.
Tapas restaurant in the heart of Palma.
It's nearby all the shopping spots & you can reserve a table online so it's very convenient! Food was pretty good and that's coming someone who doesn't like Spanish food. I did think the dishes here were the heaviest ones from our trip so best to go hungry. Suckling pig was our fav! Super tender meat with just the right amount of oink flavor. I have no memory of the paella so that's that but I loved the low temp egg!! It's served in a rich foie gras sauce with the perfect amount of truffle & sweetness. Kinda tastes like mushroom soup but way better.
They have an impressive selection of wines.
The food we had was great, croquetas, scallops, pan with tomate and steak. The ambiance is great and the decor very cool.
Suckling pig - yummy
Excellent tapas including the slow cooked egg and truffle and a great suckling pig and iberico pig. Service was friendly and quick and wine list was reasonably priced.
Great food
Quiet calm but with a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly, helpful, human, not intrusive. There were wines everywhere. Great choice of food but we went for the suckling pig. and were not disappointed. SA good choice of wines but prices rose steeply
Great find on a Monday
La Bodeguilla, tucked away in a narrow alley close to the main shopping street, was a great find on a Monday when many other restaurants in Palma were closed. Modern elegant premises, relaxed but efficient service and great food made for a pleasant evening. The roasted suckling pig was a rustic and very tasty main course - could be recommended! The price level somewhat above medium, but not very expensive.
Birthday celebration
Booked in advance to celebrate my daughter’s birthday here after a recommendation by friends. Food was very good indeed! We had a selection of small plates to start. I had the suckling pig which was easily the best pork I have ever tasted! My daughter ordered the steak and asked for it medium rare. It was probably a touch under done and verging on rare but she ate it anyway. Probably should have sent it back but didn’t want to make a fuss. Desserts were delicious too. The staff was polite and efficient but not very engaging, verging on brusque. Would definitely go again if in Palma.
