La Bottega Enoteca Singapore Reviews from The Last Year
Hyped up and expensive
I had heard a lot about this place and the description and founders note on their site sounded very inviting. We made a reservation ahead in time for 6 PM on a Monday and so got seated quickly cause the place was relatively empty till about 7. The interiors are rustic and feel good and the service is nice. The pizzas which are much raved about are good but not at the price they charge. At 50SGD a pizza it’s surely the most expensive one I’ve ever had. As vegetarians we had 3 options and we got a half and half with the broccolini pizza which I wouldn’t recommend at all. The buratta pizza was really nice but again not at that price for sure. I’ve had pizza of similar quality before and I’m sure Singapore would have more sensibly priced neopolitana pizzas too. We also had the pine nut gelato which was very average and skippable. The non-vegetarians on the table liked the buratta pizza the best too!
Totally Disappointing
Visited this place on 4th Jan 2024 . The overall experience very disappointing . Half cooked pizza , very tardy and inattentive service. Restaurant staff only giving service and attention to friends tables. They charge Tap water by glass ,SGD 3 per person. Charging for a whole bottle of Evian is better. For a fine dining place , totally not worth it. Save your money for other better places in Singapore for Italian Food

Good Food, Chef Antonio it’s really make an extraordinary pizza I ever try in my entire life. I would strongly recommend come to have the pizza and the best pizza in Singapore. Especially Mortadella Pizza it’s my favourite. 10/10 rate
Great food and Great atmosphere
The best pizza in town I ever had!! The newpolitan pizza dough is so chewy, moisture inside and the bake smell is top grade. First time here and I know more to come. La focaccia de recco with their cheese combo is the best. Thank you for the best service from the labottega service staff. Would certainly recommend all to try out is unique Italian restaurant. Grazie mille
Savoring Culinary Delights: Uncovering Singapore's Finest Pizza Haven in a Rustic Charm
Joo Chiat Road may be steeped in heritage, but La Bottega breathes new life into this historical district with its rustic Italian charm. Stepping inside is like entering a cozy trattoria, with green tiles cascading down exposed red brick walls, warm wood accents, and hanging copper tools adding a touch of traditional chic. The centerpiece is a captivating well in the alfresco hall, transporting you to a sun-drenched Italian piazza. I snagged a prime spot at the kitchen counter, mesmerized by the pizzaiolo's meticulous dance with dough. After a first glance to the menu, the Gnocco Fritto got my immediate attention. For those unfamiliar, it's a heavenly indulgence from my neck of the woods in Italy – pillowy pockets of fried dough traditionally paired with cured meats. Finding it outside Italy is a rare treat, so I didn't hesitate to order. And what a treat it was! The gnocco fritto arrived glistening with golden perfection, impossibly light and crispy. It came along a generous "tagliere" (wooden board) of salami, mortadella, and the pièce de résistance – house-made pork lard, aged for nine months. Each slice melted on my tongue, rich and flavorful, urging me to ditch the cutlery and dive in with my hands, just like they do in Emilia Romagna. To complement this explosion of savory goodness, I chose a Primitivo di Puglia. The Cardone label's offering was a just perfect – violets danced on the nose, followed by a symphony of ripe red fruit. The palate was equally captivating, full-bodied and vibrant, its velvety warmth effortlessly enveloping the taste of cured meats. Now, onto the star of the show – the pizza. Chef Antonio boasts a slow fermented "Newpolitan" (New Neapolitan) dough, which translates to 72 hours of patiently coaxing flavor out of a blend of Italian flours. The result? A cloud-like crust, pillowy soft without a hint of chewiness. The pizza came along with a smart side dish of thinly sliced Tuscan ham (less fat and salt than its Parma cousin), peppery rocket salad, and parmesan flakes. A small saucer of EVO oil from Umbria, Il Fattore, completed the masterpiece. Each bite was a testament to La Bottega's dedication to quality. The tomato sauce on the pizza was a subtle whisper, the cheese a salty counterpoint to the ham's delicate sweetness, and the EVO oil, fruity and smooth, added a final touch of elegance. This wasn't just pizza; it was an ode to Italian artisanal tradition. Definitely the best pizza in Singapore. No Italian meal is complete without dessert, and La Bottega didn't disappoint. A generous slice of chocolate panettone and a bracing espresso coffee provided the perfect sweet ending to my savory journey. La Bottega isn't just a restaurant; it's an experience. It's a portal to a sun-drenched Italian piazza, filled with the aroma of fresh bread and the convivial chatter of friends and family. If you're looking for a slice of authentic Italy in the heart of Joo Chiat, La Bottega is your new go-to spot. Final verdict: A resounding five stars for La Bottega. Rustic charm, meticulous attention to detail, and ingredients sourced with passion come together to create an unforgettable Italian dining experience.
