Heat on in the middle of summer
The heat is on - 2nd floor. Staff on 2 say no one is taking their request seriously. "They say the engineer was called...". Your expensive liquor is spoiling y'all. And guests are leaving. Your downstairs staff thinks it's funny. ----1------------
Be the first to ReplyOmg the manager is a bully
The manager here is a stubborn and disrespectful guy. He is the definition of a ….. The whole restaurant was open and he would not change our table which we had made reservations for since we made them through Resy. He seemed to have some sort of an unfinished business with Resy and was taking it on the customers. Totally avoid if you can to interact with this guys. If the owner is hearing us, change this big guy with someone who knows how to welcome the customers. And why is he coughing all the time in the middle of the restaurant and why is he blowing a whistle at the registration desk in the middle of the restaurant. What is up with this guy? Weirdest thing I have seen in New York in my 30 years here. Are you guys a respectable business or some sort of a zoo. Change your manager so we can have a peaceful dinner without getting bullied.

Middle Eastern skewers and spreads with wonderful bread. Our firends had the bread and spreads dinner. We choose a couple of skewers (chicken and mushroom) with 2 different spreads. Enjoyed the experience.
Be the first to ReplySCRUMPTIOUS!!!!
I've never had Israeli food before, but this was absolutely delicious. Most of the dishes were vegetarian, but there were some seafood and meat options. There wasn't one thing we didn't like. Everything was phenomenal!!! Each dish was rich in flavor and very earthy tasting. Nothing was spicy, but they did serve a small dish of this green sauce if you wanted to heat things up a bit. Each of us got the "Lamalo Spread" and that included a small dish of each of all the spreads that they offer, as much laffa (the Israeli bread) as you want, your choice of one skewer, and another choice of one side. That's per person! We did not order dessert as we had reservations elsewhere for that. So, I can't really comment on that. The restaurant is located inside Arlo NoMad (which I don't recommend staying at). Each and every restaurant staff member was friendly and polite. Even though it's a 2hr drive for us to dine here, we're already talking about going back just for the food. That's how delicious it was! All four of us highly recommend it!!!
Be the first to ReplyTasty but rushed
Food was good, but experience felt rushed, music was loud, server upsold us—the Lamalo spread is too much for two people.
Be the first to ReplySo good - will be back
First time at Lamallo - first time at an Israelian - restaurant - definetely not the last. The spread with skewers was a fantastic treat with an explosion of different delicous tastes. The Crew did a splendid job in ensuring a great experience.
Be the first to ReplyHeavenly!
We had a fantastic meal at LamaLo! What could be better than freshly made laffa hot from the oven paired with a variety of delicious middle eastern dips and spreads? Only the fall off the bone grilled spare rib and vegetable dish that followed.
Our meal was, in a word, heavenly and we’ll definitely be back!
Good, but..
Was very excited about trying LamaLo. Everything was good, but... the dips were very similar to olive garden’s breadsticks. Unlimited but you have to beg and plead to get refills. The entree’s are unnecessary after all the dips, but the restaurant tonight (9pm) was completely out of all fish options. Not great for non-meat eaters. Overall, could be really fun. Maybe we had bad service. Maybe it was an off night. But not what I was hoping for.

Our adult children took us here to celebrate our birthdays. As half Israeli, we are always looking for good food that reminds us of home. The Laffe" bread was delicious - ate way too much of it. The small plates option is very Israeli although a number of them are a take on other cuisines. The small potato dip (I am told it was Greek) was extraordinary. You can eat just the small plates option (definitely enough and they refill whatever you want). My husband and I also shared the short ribs (extraordinary) and my son shared the fish option which I heard was very tasty. For my Israeli husband to want to go back and bring friends, I would say this restaurant was a hit. It is small and you can only book 2 weeks prior to the date you want so it fills up quickly. They are changing the chefs area where you could book to walk ins only so this will mean even less options unless you book before. We will definitely come back and bring friends.

We tried the ribs, the branzino and the chicken. In addition to all the small salads. Everything delicious.
Be the first to Replygreat experience good food great service
different than your usual nyc (i.e. chaotic subway atmosphere) restaurant. few tables so its quiet and calm and has great personalized service, the appetizer course is kind of wonderful with interesting and delicious combinations (comes with great looking bread, but I unfortunately had to pass on that as I was off carbs). by the time the main meal arrives, you are pretty much full, so get less mains and share. dessert looked fantastic but alas, as I said before...off carbs.
Be the first to ReplyFun, delicious, and just a little bit sexy
Eating at LamaLo is like a party. Lots of delicious food to share and it keeps coming. I was there with 5 friends. We loved it. Fresh flat breads, pickled veggies, and lots of dips and spreads started out meal. Then we had lamb and branzino. I can't wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyMuch noise about nothing
This is certainly a trendy restaurant
but to me it is just average middle eastern food.
I felt that I was in the restaurant of a kiboutz. The noise was atrocious and I was not impressed with the food
even if it quite nice to receive 6 or 8 various dishes.
All is a driven by the trends of Israeli restaurant in the city.
Eat a lot
This place is located in Arlo hotel. The place is quiet cool. Simple and nicely decorated, you can clearly hear each other’s conversation while you are eating. Friendly atmosphere and also lovely people working to serve you around. Places are good to share. If you like Mediterranean you must go there. Also menu is nicely priced.
