Trying too hard to be something…
The ingredient list on the “shared” plates was so overly complicated that the flavors hit wrong on the palate. Whoever cooked the steak had to have worked in a steakhouse, it was perfectly cooked, perfectly sauced and came out hot. The “best selling” bread with pimento cheese was deconstructed with pimento in one pile and cheese in another. Guys really? We ordered the crudo which was sauced well but the fish was bland. The noodle dish which was so embarrassingly small, luke warm and brown. This your best offering for a vegetarian dish at $14? We sent it back. We eat all over the world, the constant changing of the cutlery and dishes seemed like a cup game to dazzle.

Tori was amazing: she was one of the best server we have ever had. The dinner was sublime - you must order the Brussels Sprouts. Also black drum curry was delish.
Be the first to ReplyLovely Tasting Menu
Tried its tasting menu and found every course to be phenomenal. That said, some might find it slightly pricey for Austin, but I found it well-worth the money. Service was also very friendly.
Be the first to ReplySadly disappointed upon our return here
We had found memories of this place when we booked it for our anniversary. Unfortunately, the place has become overly pretentious and priced. While some of the small plates were excellent, our two mains were simply bad and we couldn't bring ourselves to eat more that a couple of bites. About the only way you can mess up chicken & fish - overcooking! And to charge more than $50 for a butchered fish dish???
They must of told us a couple of times, all 20 ingrediants, but not once did they mention the market price for this dish. Sad to see this place go......
Average for the $$$ price
Cute--like what your 19 y/o kids would build from scratch if they had no money. Uber tall small tables with SUPER-high chairs. Mine racked badly so I spent the evening (more than $200 without liquor for 3 people) sitting very still in my chair for fear that we would collapse to the floor. The food was nice, small portions (not unexpected) and ok variety. It would be a very nice destination, but at half the price!

Super cute and quaint. Wasn’t sure what to expect, came on a recommendation and we really enjoyed the meal-smoked fish tartine, shrimp stuffed tempura squash greens were sooooo good. Service was so friendly, didn’t feel rushed even towards the end when the kitchen was shutting down. They gave us a sweet card and some bubbly for our one year wedding anniversary too! Can’t wait to go back
Be the first to ReplyGreat Dining Experience in Austin
Can't say enough about Lenior -- super friendly service, unique atmosphere, excellent wine list, creative cuisine etc. etc. We had the four-course chef menu and it was outstanding a $160 experience for just $60.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent experience
Lenoir was able to seat our party of 3immediately, without reservations, at about 8:00 it wasn’t too busy. Filled up quickly though.
Waiter was prompt, informative and fun.
Although the Prix Fixe menu sounded amazing we decided on a la cart. Both the whole fish stuffed with blue crab and the Wagu beef were great. Bean salad also.
Sweet potato dumpling thing wasn’t that popular. Chocolate cake with salted caramel dessert was good although a little dry.
Overall very good experience.
Favorite Restaurant from Austin Visit
Great staff, amazing food. We did the Chef’s four courses with the wine pairings. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had yet! A small space inside with great ambience.
Be the first to ReplyA French Country dining experience to enjoy!
We didn't know much before going in but it seems like they have some sort of modern french cuisine thing happening. It was also farm-to-table so it seems like their menu rotates often. Either way, it was delicious!
We shared a variety of snacks and small plates, which was enough to fill us up (we were 3 women, just as a reference). We had the hush pups, smoked fish, the bao, stuffed quail, and other stuff I'm forgetting. They even elevated a bean salad! I mean ... seriously! We certainly left room for dessert and their wine selection was superb.
It's a cute little restaurant off of 1st St. They have a couple of parking spots right next to the street, and slightly more spots in the back. But they're not prolific by any stretch. No valet that I could see but you might want to call and check.
It seems like they have a lovely outdoor wine garden. We're definitely planning on coming back when it gets a bit cooler so it's comfortable sitting outside 😎🍷
Was a little disappointing in the end
Lenoir had been highly rated so we looked for dinner with some enthusiasm. We ended up having a set course meal with matched wines. I didn't start well as my wife couldn't eat the first course. The third wasn't much better and desserts was a disaster for her. I found the servings incredibly small. The steak was the best but again a mouthful portion. Probably couldn't recommend going there again. It might have been an off night. We couldn't wait to get out.
