Best Dining Experience
I have no words to describe the wonderful experience me and my wife had few days ago at this restaurant. We are familiar with Michelin Star restaurants but we never had an experience so good. From the breataking view and the beautiful design we felt sourrended by style and beauty. Congrats to the Chef who is a very simple person with a big heart!

Excellent service, great wine, great ambiance and great food with a lot of culinary creativity ! If you come to Positano, this is a must !
Be the first to ReplyGood ambiance but service was not what you expect at a Michelin starred restaurant..
Delicious food and mignardises but the service was below what we are used to receive at much simpler restaurants. We have visited more or less all Michelin starred restaurants on the Amalfi coast, (above 30+ worldwide), both one and two starred. Because of that we were even more surprised by the service of our main waiter. To show that you are annoyed and further blame customers for the restaurants (her) lack of communication is not acceptable, nor is it that we waited over 1h for the main course and had to ask for oil 3 times. We are well aware that Li Galli has a oil- and bread service/routine but when guests ask to receive it earlier it should not take 20 minutes and the involvement of three different waiters. Also a strange happening at a restaurant was when the bartender form the rooftop came, in the middle of our starter, and tried to put down two cocktails that we had not ordered. Even more absurd was that the cocktails later were put on our bill. Nice gesture was that the main course was offered as an excuse for all mistakes, but unfortunately that did not really make up for all other mistakes, some of which are mentioned above. Really sad as our previous experiences 3 and 4 years ago were something we really enjoyed.

We had just gotten engaged and arrived for dinner. We asked for a couple of glasses of champagne to celebrate. They did not ask pricing and when we received the bill, they had charged us $200 per glass - about 1/3 of our total meal. Shame on us for not asking, but we had no idea they would do that without checking first.

We had multiple exceptional dining experiences during our recent trip to Italy, including a 2 Michelin star restaurant, but Li Galli was our favorite! The elegant dining room overlooking the Amalfi Coast and the sea sets the stage, but then the very talented and detailed-oriented staff bring the whole experience to life! Two of us enjoyed the vegetarian tasting menu, while the third selected the Chef's Idea all with wine pairing. The sommelier did an amazing job selecting wines that worked for all and never allowed our wine or water glasses to run empty. All food was delicious and artfully plated. There were many special touches throughout, including the bread and olive oil presentation. The dessert course is out of this world. I don't want to say more, as it is best to experience it as a surprise! This is a dining experience you will not want to miss!
Be the first to ReplyMore than just 1 Michelin star. SUPERB!!!
A 1 Michelin star is not enough. Definitely at least a 2 star. Why? The view of beautiful Positano is breathtaking. It can’t get better than this. The service - top notch - especially the Maitre’D Roberto and their sommelier. The amazing food - haven’t had such a delicious spread of dishes even on the a la’ carte menu. And the deserts just did not stop coming. The lemon soufflé - that was the best in the world. Give them 2 stars.

One Michelin star is less for a place like this. Fantastic views, superb food and impeccable service. Chef Savio is master chef when it comes to food. The quality, taste and presentation was just perfect. They have only 7 tables so the service becomes very very intimate. You have three or four people assisting you, with the sommelier helping in wine selection to a food enthusiast helping in menu selection to bread guy helping in tasting olive oil and focaccia. The monopoly dessert and the Picnic dessert are very very innovative. I’ve not had such good food in a very very long time. Service from Renata was very good. Must Must Vist. Renata was very good and hospitable. P.S - They are reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of food. Maybe they will get another Michelin soon.

Very bad experience, Food was really bad. They obliged us to take three courses, even if you don't want dessert! I even returned the spaghetti, it was bad!

The atmosphere was very quaint and romantic. The customer service was superb. The food was so delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant for an unforgettable night out.
Be the first to ReplyAwful service, below average food and inability to take food allergies seriously
The only positive note is the view, but if you have been to ravello, then this place has nothing special.
Food is below average for a person from NYC who has been to multiple Michelin’s star restaurants worldwide. Service is terrible (water doesn’t get replenished until it was asked a few times, confusion with food allergies within the restaurant crew- one says you can eat , the other one says you can’t, my allergies are very severe, left terrified). Glass of wine is the size of just enough to make two sips - ridiculous, I made them aware of the nonsense. Their response was “it’s our portions, but I can add a little more” - just a joke. Prices are astronomical for what you get - below average food, awful service and inability to take customer’s food allergies seriously. We don’t mind paying for a high end service/food experience, however this is not even close to our expectations. If you want to waste $$$$$ and ruin your night, then go ahead.
Much ado about nothing
A very snobbish place with beautiful dishes for the food and a very trendy design for the restaurant with modern art pieces everywhere. But the food was very disappointing. Maybe because we were not hungry enough to take the degustation menu and we took à la carte. My fish was tasteless while the salad was too salty.
Service is excellent but too snobbish. Not expected in Italy. Reservations are needed as the restaurant is small if you still want the experience. Parking is difficult so take a taxi
Arrogant owner
Arrogant and not friendly at all. Will definitely not visit this restaurant again. Surprised by the good reviews, since we certainly didn't feel welcomed
