Dined at Lilac.
It was delicious. A little pricey but worth it. Flavorful and beautifully presented

Oh Covid caused you to raise prices and pay off 80% of your staff? Stop the greedflation!!! We are not in a pandemic anymore, start cleaning the rooms and property again! You sorry bunch of clowns. Read your the fine print on their website, they state they can't be held liable for bedbugs. Over priced, over promised, severely under delivered. #Teamportnoy
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced yet underwhelming.
Overhyped yet top-tier bland. $200/night quality for $600/night

I love everything about The Edition starting from the smell of the lobby and the decor. The front desk staff is always friendly and welcoming. Rooms are really well kept, along with the pool and all the common areas. The punch room is an incredible experience with unmatched service and a truly exceptional mixology experience.

A friend of mine stayed at the Tampa Edition and got completely ripped off. Overpriced room, overpriced drinks at the bar (terribly mixed by the way), pompous staff... could go on and on. Will not be staying in the future.

Beautiful lobby and great coffee! The rooftop pool is a great place to stop and enjoy the view of the city. You don't have to be a guest to visit these places, either!
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful hotel, great restaurants and bars.
Amazing coffee shop, terrific staff, well maintained property. I will be going there often. The rooftop bar and pool is beautiful. A must stay place for anyone in Tampa!
Be the first to ReplyReally nice ambiance when you want something fancy.
Not a lot of vegetarian options so I had the spice crusted cauliflower. It was good but didn't seem special enough for the price. Also, if coming for a birthday with a cake they do charge $8 per slice for cutting it.
Be the first to ReplyLobby bar was good.
Service was outstanding despite how busy they were. The vibe is good but it is small. Everyone having a good time. A bit eclectic. We went upstairs to check out the rooftop, another cool bar. But it was too cold that night. Seats along the pool were roped off. Highly recommend both. Loved all the plants in the lobby.
Be the first to ReplyNice hotel in the middle of Tampa.
We came up here for a friends party and stayed the night here. They have amazing restaurants and decor. The azure was a great spot for lunch. Next time I will try the other place which looked very acclaimed and was even recommended by friends. The staff was super friendly and I appreciated how down to earth they were . Will return

I'm giving 2 stars simply for service and ambiance being great, but the food was inedible which to me is the most important part. I started with a cocktail and couldn't take more than one sip of it, and they gladly switched it with a glass of wine for me. That should have been a red flag. To preface I grew up eating all over nyc & have eaten at many restaurants that are high end but actually taste good. The h'orderves did not impress me the orange one tasted like it was on cardboard, the middle one was like a piece of pb&j and a lettuce wrap?? confusing at this price point but was the only one that tasted decent. Scallops were ok. Presentation was beautiful but it did not taste as good as it looked. Flavor was just not there. I don't like how there were lemon rinds on a delicate scallop but maybe thats personal preference. The entree was the worst and most disappointing part. Our waitress formed the dish in front of me and that sauce was straight up oil. It was inedible. Fish had 0 flavor. And a green random pile on it was odd and it did not add flavor. You can see that oil its soaked in (the yellow above the fish). This dish was for 2 people and both halves could not be eaten. I can eat something even if its just ok but it was actually that bad.Overall it was a gorgeous hotel and service was great but none of that matters if this food is awful. I wanted to love it but left soooo disappointed and hungry!
Be the first to ReplyHonestly, the best hotel experience I have ever had.
Everyone was extremely welcoming and polite. The gentleman checking us in was so helpful and accommodating. He got us in to the Market restaurant right away without reservations. The restaurant was 10/10. The aesthetic of this hotel is unreal and not like anything I've ever seen and I've been to some nice hotels. Every single detail is worth appreciating - from the spiral staircase, to the plants throughout, the wooden room keys, the most unique and beautiful furniture pieces, and the Le Labo fragrances. It was a dream. 100% returning anytime we have a concert to see at the Amalie across the street, which is fantastic to have this hotel so close.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is the best hotel experience you will EVER have.
The Ritz couldn't even compare to this place and I am so excited to share my experience. My husband and I traveled from out of state to stay in Tampa and eat at the Edition for our one year wedding anniversary and the GM, Samantha along with Marley, Armando, and Sydney and every other staff member we interacted with went above and beyond to make us feel special on our anniversary. I cannot recommend this place enough! This is a 5 star hotel that could easily have made us feel we didn't have enough status to be there, but instead they made us feel welcomed, celebrated, and like we were a million bucks. And I think there lies the difference, they make anyone and everyone feel special and important from the moment you walk in to when you leave. I left this place grinning from ear to ear. You cannot beat that kind of service anywhere else. Our time with them made our stay in Tampa enchanting. I cannot wait to return.
Be the first to ReplyI wish the edition was as good as it looks.
The ambiance is top notch, the vibes amazing, the customer service and overall experience by the staff falls extremely flat. The edition is close to having it all, if not for their poorly etiquette staff. The food, the decor, Tampa is finally close to have a place to rival the likes of nyc and chicago...but wait cue in the staff, the failed operations, and the lacking customer service and it feels like Florida all over again. The phrase lipstick on a pig comes to mind. The customer service failed us in all aspects:* an hour delay at lilac (with reservations and nothing comped) $1000 meal for 4 with lackluster staff should NEVER happen. * upstairs -9th floor staff please have a team meeting and get it together. There are different staff giving different direction on what time the rooftop closes. The confusion amongst the edition staff is palpable. Chickens with their heads cut off. A former NYer, i has such high hopes for this luxury experience but it fell short.

I went to Edition for a dinner reservation with friends and decided to check out the overall hotel. There is a decent selection of food and bar options. The vibes were immaculate and this trendy hotel had incredible decor and views. I was a little surprised how early their punch room and art club bars closed. I got a drink in the lobby while I waited for our dinner reservations. It was pricey but that's expected for a 5 star hotel.

We flew in from out of town to celebrate our daughters birthday. She was so excited to go & has been planning this for a couple months. We thought the ambiance was perfect & the hotel was very atheistically pleasing. We absolutely loved all the greenery all around the hotel. Food was delicious & we enjoyed the mussels very much. The issue for us was that we waited an hour for our cocktails & we had a manager come tell us he apologized it was taking too long as well as our waitress. So they continued to pour us water. Our food came out before our cocktails did. They charged us $50 for 5 spring bottles of Panna water which we were not told we would be charged for. This experience was not good for us & we will not be returning. Very disappointing!

Hotel lobby is very beautiful! We went to the rooftop bar which is just as beautiful! Cocktails are so great! The balcony table has a minimum of 500$ tho, a little much even for 20$ cocktails.

Its a really nice hotel but maybe trying to hard to be exclusive. Its marriot owned so how fancy can you be? We were downtown for gasparilla and my sister wanted to go have a drink here because she follows them on instagram. We went up to the roof top bar. We sat at a table near the edge of the roof and the waiter said it was $500 minimum to sit there. I wasnt going to spend $500 drinking at a Marriott so we got up and went to the bar 10 feet away. 4 of us ordered 1 drink each. I had a Kentucky mule and it was really good. Forgot what the other people ordered but we all liked our drinks. Drinks are about $20 each. Yeah they were good but come on thats just too much. We had some weird looks towards us also. Maybe because we were dressed like pirates? Well its expected in downtown Tampa on gasparilla. If youre not dressed like a pirate that day you should stay home. This place was a good spot to check out once but its just not for me. $500 minimum tables at 2pm in the afternoon at a Marriot is insanity. The view from up there wasnt even that great. Views are better at many rooftop bars in clearwater beach and drinks are a third of the cost.
Be the first to ReplyThe service at this hotel was my breaking point.
Valet told me, after I asked specifically, they would "most definitely" keep my car close in the front. They ended up parking it down the street and it took 14 minutes to get my car from valet. The valet was rude and extremely snobby... which is interesting since they are working in the service industry. The people who work this hotel, inside as well, act like it's a privilege for you to just be in their presence. It is the most interesting dynamic. Extremely overpriced as well. Will not go back.
Be the first to ReplyStunning.
Your transported out of the city into this ethereal warm lit urban jungle. great natural lighting during the day as well. The italian themed Market downstairs opens early for breakfast and transitions to lunch/dinner at noon. coffee and pastries and egg sandwiches become pastas and salads and brick oven pizza. the coffee bar offers a great work space and even better coffee. as you move through the room past the spiral staircase through the lobby there is a cocktail bar and an elegant earth toned restaurant called Lilac that is very on-brand with its veggie forward menu. the 9th floor rooftop is just as beautiful. you walk through a mediterranean style restaurant with intimate balcony seating and then step out into a canopy of pink flowers that cascade from the poolside bar and over the gazebos that overlook the city. Bravo on making this feel like a dreamscape.
