Went to the North End after a Bruins game on a Saturday night. We called earlier in the day and thought we had a reservation but for some reason it wasn't written down. They made room for us and everything was great. The meatballs: I like mine a little spicy and these weren't. But they were very meaty and filling. My boyfriend raved about them and apparently reminded him of his grandmothers. I had the chicken parm and it was delicious. Also had a glass of Limoncello after the meal and it was strong but delicious. I felt it for a bit walking around the North End after dinner. They also sell it by the bottle for $45!
Be the first to ReplyWent last night and had to let things marinate a little bit.
I WANTED to like it. BUT. Service was OK. Can't take away from that. But the food? Sorry. All I can go by is what I had. Veal chop with wild mushrooms and black truffle. A $49.00 meal that had a decent chop cooked ok. A FEW mushrooms. And freakin' ZERO truffle flavor at all! To be honest, it was like a sunday roast by my aunt. Brown gravy, green beans and carrots. What the heck? Sorry. Not my bag, and not recommended.

I had made a reservation a couple weeks in advance to sit at a table for a birthday. we walked in, was not greeted for a few minutes and sat us at the tiny bar in the back. the food was super good don't get me wrong, I took home extra to eat later. I was just unhappy I made a reservation and was put all the way in the back near the kitchen and bathrooms
Be the first to Replyambiance felt vary traditional and familial.
was super cute! we were sitting there and all of a sudden someone starts singing and we had a ball! service wise everyone was so sweet and seemed to want to serve you and it was the perfect balance of being attentive and giving you space to have your own conversations. even though they were super super busy our food and drinks didn't take too long at all! the whole staff seemed to be like a big family and it was so nice. food was SO GOOD. when our waiter recommended the meatballs i was a little scared but they did not disappoint and were so good and filling. also got the lasagna and it was so delicious but we wanted to save room for dessert. after traveling all over italy the tiramisu i had at limoncello EASILY is the best i've had in my life and i have been dreaming about it ever since. drinks were amazing as well! came home raving about this place and cannot wait to go back!

Had a great meal while on a business trip at this authentic Italian eatery. The burrata appetizer was the perfect start and the lamb ragu was excellent. Service / staff were as authentic as the food and seemed to be straight out of central casting for an old school North End spot. It was busy night and the ambience made me feel like a night with old friends.

Absolutely the best, one of the few restaurants where the service equals the food. Both are better than exceptional. Always a truly wonderful experience.
Be the first to ReplyThis food was amazing.
The chef choice seafood appetizer was to die for; the sommelier recommended perfect wine, the special ravioli was great and the veal parm...perfect. Our waitress was amazing as well. The atmosphere and ambiance is intimate and nice as well. The wait staff was wonderful as well. Our waitress Sandra was awesome! She was amazing and did great work!

The place was half empty -asked for bigger table- was refused by absolutely non smiling hostesses who had no energy to greet us. Staff is very good and attentive. The wine was absolutely undrinkable. The food was like ok- Italian fast food- with enormous portions. Looks more like sharing place- but non told us that we ordering too much. Overall- I would not go there again and will not recommend it for anyone. Only if you are in a rush. Absolutely mediocre food with fast service. And the tables stayed empty all the time we spent at the place. So we could at least eat in comfort. Giving it 2 stars for the staff. They were nice
Be the first to ReplyThe food is wonderful, but I felt rushed.
He was cleaning our table after 1/2 hour. Friendly waiter and very efficient. But, not relaxing.
Be the first to ReplyI love this place.
I've been three times and the food is always excellent - get the rosette! I've also tried the ravioli and meatballs, both excellent. Service is fast and kind, just how we like it. Several people in there seemed like regulars, can't wait to become one!
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere, great attitudes, best pasta I've ever had.
I ordered theRosette Al Montasio Ed Olio Di TartufoHomemade wide noodle cooked with Prosciutto, Montassio Cheese, Mushrooms & finished in Tomato Cream Sauce with Truffle Oil
Be the first to ReplyFabulous service.
Outstanding food. Small amazingly delicious Italian food in the North end. Black pasta with lobster was amazing. Be sure to try their meatball (who knew a meatball could be so good.)

They're signature dish, Rosette Al Montasio Ed Olio Di Tartufo, was delicious & unique. I highly recommend! Service was friendly & prompt. Atmosphere was casual yet upscale. Will definitely return!
Be the first to ReplyWowwwww! Had a reservation for two and they took us on time.
The atmosphere is nice and comfortable. Everything about this restaurant is great. Service was fantastic and food was delicious. They start you off with bread and a side dish of olives. Bread was hot and really good along with the olives. For my entree, I had the penne arbiatta. If you like spicy, then i definitely recommend getting this dish. My boyfriend got the lobster ravioli and holy sh**.... Wowwwww! It was really tasty. You will not be disappointed with getting the lobster ravioli. Of course we had to get dessert so we went with the cannoli. It was the perfect for two especially because we were stuffed. Everything was amazing and I wish I could come here more often. It was a great Boston trip and this really topped it off. Our waiter was so nice and I wish I could remember his name so I can mention it on here. He made sure we were happy and went over the specials with us. Super sweet! Thank you guys for a tasty meal. Will definitely be back when visiting Boston.

The restaurant is very traditionally Italian, with amazing staff and a great atmosphere. The food was amazing (cheese ravioli with red sauce, shrimp rissoto), the wine, the Limoncello, it was like being in Italy. Loved it!
Be the first to ReplyFood and staff was great.
I can't wait to come back to this place. Very tasty and fresh food. Thank you chef!!
Be the first to ReplyWe were a group of eight looking to have dinner early
We were a group of eight looking to have dinner early (4:30pm) without reservations and after having tried six other restaurants and getting eye rolls everywhere due to our party's size, we tried here. We were instantly welcomed and as we waited the three minutes for our table to get set up, at least three other people asked us if we had been taken care of. The service was very attentive, they took special orders for the kids in our party, and the food did not disappoint! Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyUnquestionably the best Italian restaurant in Boston.
The food and service are both exceptional.
Be the first to ReplyLoved my dining experience this evening.
Kevin! Such an amazing server! Thank you for making our night so fantastic! The food was delicious and I cannot wait to come back! What a true neighborhood gem! Did I mention Kevin? He was thoughtful and made great recommendations. We had a delightful experience! Have the limoncello at dessert!
Be the first to ReplyWe've been to nearly every Italian restaurant in the North
We've been to nearly every Italian restaurant in the North End and we're excited to try this one as we had heard many great things. We were able to get same day reservations but were sat at a tiny table that was in need of repair, in the center of the dining room that could barely hold a bread basket. The waiter was ย disappointing, he was obviously distracted throughout our time there. He serviced every table but ours. The bread was cold, the food was sub par. When asking for suggestions and clearly letting him know the type of sauce I wanted he wasn't very helpful with offering suggestions. It took nearly an hour for our food. And about 30 minutes after we were done eating to take our plates from the table. We had to find someone to have him bring us our bill. I was very disappointed. There is many more restaurants nearby that actually want your business- go to ones of those.
Be the first to ReplyOmg! Hands down a must if you come to Boston.
The food was amazing but the service couldn't be beat!! It was honestly like coming home for dinner. Utterly fantastic!!
Be the first to ReplyBest Italian place in Boston's North End.
ย I recommend reservations before arriving. Our host greeted us and got us our reserved table. We were then met with owner who came to our table and gave us a little history of this place. He actually recommended some of their menu with their famous Rosette Pasta which was featured in one of the famous magazines. I just love how the owner went to every table and chatting with them which makes this place unique! I totally recommend and will definitely come back.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is bangin, and easy to split a meal.
