One of the best dining experiences ever
The dinner was absolutely stunning and perfect and is among my to 5 of best dining experiences ever. Every single was perfect with a wonderful aroma. Sadly they will close the restaurant permanently within the next weeks and move to Normandy. No doubt that both Chefs have a great future.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, but expensive
The food was very good. It had a fix menu with matching wine. The food was exquisite and the wine that came with it was great. It's a small place with good service. However, I thought it was too expensive. With the wine, about 200 dollars per person. I thought it was too much.

We visited L’innocence during our trip to Paris for my fiancée’s 30th birthday (which luckily coincided with Bastille day and the city had a great buzz!) We had an excellent and intimate dining experience from start to finish and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Michelin star restaurant in Paris! We chose the paired wines with our evening set menu and throughly enjoyed each and every dish!! The food was exceptional and the wine complemented the flavours of each dish very well. The owner Jonathan was extremely welcoming, professional and was very passionate about the diners, the food and the level of service! In particular, he was kind enough to provide us with a further glass of the red wine which I particularly enjoyed. Total bill was 360euros (including a glass of champagne as an aperitif) and for the quality/ dining experience it was worth every penny! Thank you to the two chefs and Jonathan for a lovely and unforgettable experience! Highly recommend!

One of the best restaurant experience my husband and I have ever had. Amazing tasting menu. Couldn’t have asked for better. I advice to book ahead, since it’s a cozy, intimate restaurant. Definitely recommend it!!

I reserved a table two months ago by calling as this is a tiny restaurant. I think I said clearly the date and time. Later, it’s website indicated the day I booked (Saturday) is full but not closed. We went there yesterday and it was closed !!!! We have no idea what goes wrong & very disappointed with this 1-star Michelin star restaurant. Don’t even think about it!

An utterly undesrved (or very suspicly awarded) Michelin star. Lets begin with the ambiance, even if that word is rather too grand to describe 16 diners crammed in an uncomfortably tiny space, where a neighbouring fellow diner has to squeeze sideways to go to the tolilet, with half their posterior hanging over one's table in the process. then there are the black backelite or faux leather tables, which wouldn't look out of place in a hospital canteen, but which certainly shouldn't be in a Michelin star restaurant, with no table cloths. And, btw, They DO NOT CHANGE THE DINER'S CUTLERY with every course, but expect you to keep them throughout the entire dinner?!? Service was provided by an arrogant and condescending waiter/maitre'd/sommelier who behaved throughout as if he was doing his diners a great favour, and they ought to be humbly grateful for the privilige of dining in the restaurant. He even engaged in a lenghthy and cringingly embarrassing argument with one pf the diners at an adjacent table, regarding the correct time a bottle of red wine from 2016 should have been opened before serving. And finally, there is the food, which could have made up for everything else lacking, but was in fact UTTERLY DISAPPOINTING. Could you imagine going to any restaurant, let alone a Michelin star one, for a tasting menu the first course of which is a doughnut. No kidding - a plain, rather tasteless doughnut that didn't even have a filling, but a layer of undetirminable jelly on top instead. And it went downhill from there: bland, uninspired/uninspiring food, lacking seasoning, lacking anything that would make one's tastebuds happy (or at least moderately satisfied). The only redeeming courses were the two desserts - a true explosion of flavours after after a long series of tasteless dishes. I have dined at the Michelin star restaurants of a few French chefs in the UK - Helen Darouze, Michel Roux Jnr., Raymond Blann etc. and they have all been experiences to remember. This one at L'innocence, for which I parted with just under 300 euros for a dinner for two, was my first one in France - and I will truly hope to forget it. L'innocence? No sir - guilty as hell.

This tiny 1-star restaurant serves a fantastic lunch at a price that will have you making plans to return soon. The manager/server prepared for us a special pescatarian tasting meal with no shellfish and it was both delicious and stunningly presented. Two young chefs worked in the small kitchen. We started with hummus bread with a lime cheese spread. A beautiful eggplant dish with pesto sauce with seeds. Next was a beautiful zucchini dish with dill, flowers and a delicate white sauce. This was followed by white asparagus with tiny flowers and a mustard sauce. The fish was salmon with salmon caviar, string beans and a turnip. The first of the two desserts was strawberries with kiwi ice cream and a meringue cookie. Finally, a choux with rice pudding and hazelnuts – wow! The wine pairings were perfect and the whole experience was memorable.

Fantastic food in a tiny restaurant worthy of its star. The courses are plentiful so be prepared! A nice touch is the (ridiculously small) open kitchen so you can see the talented chefs at work. Worth a visit.
Be the first to ReplyA great meal
This was a wonderful meal, fully deserving it's Michelin star. The staff were so relaxed and clearly enjoyed their work. The food was exquisite, so detailed and beautifully presented. Not cheap, but good value for a meal at this level of excellence. Lovely wine pairings and a sense of being looked after rounded off a fantastic evening.

Unfortunately due to some circumstances that were out of both our control and the restaurant’s we did not get to eat here. That being said, Jonathon who I believe is the restaurant manager, is amazing. His kindness, and professional manner has made me dedicated to go back to Paris just to get a chance to enjoy this exquisite chic establishment.
Be the first to ReplyA GREAT tiny restaurant
A great tiny restaurant, well worthy of its Michelin star. High quality ingredients and rather innovative cooking. The asparagus dish and the onion raviolis were particularly memorable. I wish the wine list were a bit more extensive.
Friendly service.
Beautiful and intimate
Delicious, small intimate setting. If you like your food it’s a must, the flavours paired perfectly with the Sancerre we chose and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend!
