The service was wonderful, and the food was great.
Hamid was wonderful with my daughter and made her feel like a special guest. The maitre de was also wonderful with our daughter and asked if she wanted something to color with. I had noted we would have a child with us, so they placed us in the "quieter" room, which I think was a good call. We felt very welcome. All the food we ordered were delicious. I would definitely go back. While the food was great, it was the service that would make me want to go back.
Be the first to ReplyConfusing yet educational.
Our 13th-to-16th Aperol spritzes felt lighter than the previous ones. As we obviously asked for an Aperol top-up, we were disconcerted with the double charge we found on the final bill. Lesson learnt: the marginal utility of Aperol spritzes declines after the 12th. The place also also charges a 15% service charge. Inflation is not transitory, but if we had felt the need to pay this level of tips we would have taken a flight to NY. Food is ok, but for better bottle service would recommend Il Borro.

Having been a patron here for the last 10 years, always on our anniversary (except for Covid and renovation), we were excited about our reservation for last week. Upon arriving, we learned that we clicked the wrong box when making a reservation: We picked the Riviera Room; not main dining room. No description for either on booking site. The Riviera room was very loud (hip-hop music) and next to a crowded bar, artwork was very urban including a naked woman, a bit offensive for us. Management wouldn't accommodate our request to move. So much for our usual romantic dinner. At least we were looking forward to an outstanding meal. This wasn't the case either: my go to favorite dover sole was thin and over-cooked and still had bones. My wife's small serving of pasta with clams and shrimp was watery and lacking any real flavor. Our potatoes gratin and green beans sides though were as good as before. Service though was excellent except that the sommelier (not the waiter) had to be hunted down each time to fill our wine glasses. I'm guessing that management decided that the renovation and rebranding to LPM over the former La Petite Maison was to cater to a different crowd. We will miss the former warm, cozy, quiet, romantic French bistro of years past and will not be returning, especially at this price.
Be the first to ReplyGood food but super disappointing on service.
Were rude and reminded us on at least 7 separate occasions that they needed the table back at a certain time. Even told us it was getting late and we need to order mains now, felt like I was being scolded not out to an upscale restaurant. Last straw was being told we may not be able to order dessert with 20 minutes to go before they needed our table back. Hugely different to the Dubai property. Will not be going back.

Tonite I was taken advantage of more blatantly by a waiter in a restaurant than ever before in my entire life. My husband and I went for a special dinner with my son and his wife. We had two glasses of wine and two drinks. My husband ordered a glass of rosรฉ for me for 17 pounds. We then went on to have an enjoyable meal. When the check came the rosรฉ was billed at 67 pounds. We suggested to the waiter that we had been mistakenly charged for a bottle instead of a glass. The waiter told my husband that he had shown my husband the 67 pound price when he ordered the wine, however that couldn't be further from the truth. Does Petite Maison need to screw over nice patrons like that? We will never return to any of their restaurants again and we intend to tell everyone we possibly can tell about our experience. 67 POUNDS FOR ONE GLASS OF ROSร PLUS TAX AND TIP!!! What kind of idiocy is that???

Every dish from the bread, make your own salad, appetizer, plats to dessert, EXCELLENT! Attentive service and wonderful atmosphere. Lovely Sunday family brunch and very welcoming of children as well.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic service and food all around.
The fish game in particular was on point. Arriving at 6pm, the place really began picking up at about 6:30 and got packed from then on on a Friday night. We ordered a bit of everything and it came out when ready which is fine for tapas but at an upscale establishment with multiple diners it makes everything more awkward. This would be my only complaint. We began with the yellowtail carpaccio, squid carpaccio, burrata, calamari, and prawn. Burrata was very chewy and perfectly coupled with fresh tomatoes (of which there were two ripe ones on the table as well to cut and eat as you like). The yellowtail was exceptional sashimi and would rival top sushi joints. Calamari was cooked just right. It super fried but enough to soak in the line and jalapeรฑos. For entrees we had the chicken, John Dory, sea bass, and full fish. The full fish was enough for two and honestly could have served three. It was shown and then deboned and served. Really nice cut and presentation and tasty on top. The chicken was a pass; very basic and just a well cooked rotisserie. The sea bass and John Dory were both thick and juicy and exceptional. Fish is the way to go at Petit. The shared dishes are nice, but experimenting with all the ocean varieties they offer would be recommended in my mind. Expensive at at least 35 pounds an entree but it will fill you up and leave you satisfied. We additionally shared the largest crime brรปlรฉe I've ever had. Tasted more of an ice cream than your typical base. Very good and great shareable ending. Wine list was large but a few options under 50 if you're looking to drink at a moderately reasonable price. Dinner was great. Food was on point and service was always as it was needed. Pricy to say the least, but given the quality and the location, a nice meal out was worth the Petit bill.
Be the first to ReplyI've been here three or four times now (over the past year).
Service has always been fantastic. Food is on the pricier end, but every dish has always been worth the money. Very simply done food that doesn't try to hard to be edgy or modern. Just a few simple ingredients that are cooked perfectly. Would recommend the lentils and gnocchi, but honestly everything there is delicious.
Be the first to ReplyThe food at La Petite Maison is truly wonderful.
If there are two or more of you, it is a good idea to share a few starters, in particular: green bean and foie gras salad, the lentils, langoustine with FRESH mayonnaise and burrata & cherry tomatoes. Every main is exceptional with their ribeye and French fries especially good..

From the burrata to the gnocchi pasta, it was great. The staff was pretty nice as well. My only complaint is that we had an 8:15 PM reservation and got sat almost 30 minutes later. There are also no seats at the bar so you just have to stand near the bar and other tables while staff tries to walk around and it's a little uncomfortable. But the food was really spectacular and something i will always remember.
