Very tasty food and excellent ambience and location. Smack right on 100ft road. A good place to have a leisurely lunch or dinner with family and friends. Please reserve your table though :)
Be the first to ReplyTreat for sea food lovers
Felt like having some sea food for dinner, so decided to dine-in here , was having sufficient space for at least pax. Order Silver fish as starter and later order Prawn with Butter Lemon Rice . Food was delicious, presented well . Quantity could had been better. Tasted too good. However loved it
Be the first to ReplyVERY NICE SEA FOOD RESTAURANT WITH MOST ATTENTIVE STAFF.
Mahesh has service two levels, generally ground level closed except during weekend. But on all our visits, about four we were specially served at ground level considering our age, which is very gracious of the Manager Mr. Gowda. It is succinct to say that all Seafood servings are excellent. Other preparations also must also be equally good we observed others enjoying during our visits. MAHESH KEEP IT UP.
Be the first to ReplyAverage food with high price tag
taste is good for some of the food preparation and not all. price is high but considering location it can be justified. ambiance is average.

Great food great service. Loved the ambience. Had been planning to go for a long time but it is definitely bit on expensive side. You may want to get down the price of a water bottle from 70 to something reasonable I am sure it is possible. This is more then 3 times the actual price. Perfect place for see food and the variety they have to offer.
Be the first to ReplyMust visit for Mangalorean & Coastal food
This Bangalore outlet of famed Mahesh Lunch Home of Mumbai is one of my favourite coastal food destination in the heart of the city. Yesterday I was here again with few dear friends. Their chicken ghee roast , prawn gasssi and other coastal delicacy are absolutely sumptuous with the neer Dosa and rice. Yes we did order Appam too. The mangalorean style Kane fish curry was simple delicious. For those who want to try best of everything , They also have lunch thali. Next time , Iām going to try their seafood thali priced at ā¹499 ++

This is a place that caters to ex pats and avoidable. For less than a quarter of this cost, there are restaurants close by that serve same food and alchohol at lower prices. Pls avoid visiting here...
Be the first to ReplyAn Overhyped seafood restaurant!
If you are from Mumbai, then this brand doesn't need an introduction. Mahesh lunch home has entrenched it's reputation as one of the best seafood restaurants in the city of Mumbai. Now it has extended its business to Bengaluru with a spacious outlet located near Richmond circle. This restaurant has pretty good seating capacity with fine dining ambiance. I was there with a group of food admirers to relish their seafood. I have started my meal with a chicken soup. The consistency of the soup was thick with sufficient amount of chicken pieces and tasted absolutely delicious. Paneer tikka looked very spicy but tasted normal. I liked the taste of butter garlic prawns but garlic was a bit more. Salmon tikka was on the the starters that you must try. Salmon was cooked to perfection with adequate amount of masala and tasted delectable. Vijayawada curry is something I have never tried before. But that's like any other normal fish curry with a bit of extra spice. Thai green curry wasn't upto the mark tasted pretty average. Appam tasted good with all the gravies on the table especially with chicken kurma which is a top notch . Ghee roast chicken is something I didn't like as it lacked the flavour of ghee. Coming to desserts, kulfi was again just average. Tender coconut payasam was really good and a must try. The behaviour of staff was not really polite. Perhaps, management should train their staff on how to behave with customers.

Mahesh Lunch Home 23rd July 2019 The Review Mahesh Lunch home, a casual dining restaurant in Residency Road, Bangalore is one of the few food outlets which serves Table D'hote menu. We went there for dinner hoping to spend some good time but in the end the experience wasn't what we expected. As soon as we entered Mahesh Lunch Home, we were welcomed and escorted to our seats. The host showed us the menu which had names of the dishes but n description. On top of that, the server was also not able to explain any of the dishes. For example, when we asked about the mocktail menu, he didn't show us. Instead he gave us the names of a few which he could recall. Mahesh Lunch home being a popular food outlet was not expected to be unprofessional like this. While the service was poor, the food and beverages were actually good in terms of taste and quantity. However, the garnishing could have been better. For instance, they should have de-seeded the cherries before using it as garnish in the mocktail. The soups served were pretty amazing. The Manchow soup served with crispy noodles enhanced the experience of the soup. The Seafood soup was loaded with prawns and fishes which enhanced its taste to a whole new level. The appetizers Salmon Tikka and Raseela Kebabs lacked any garnishing and the Raseela Kebabs were garnished with processed cheese. I have never ever seen processed cheese being used as garnish on a Tandoori dish. Taste wise, both the appetizers were pretty decent. The juiciness of the fish paired with the flavor was simply exhilarating. For main course, we had an option of Chicken and Seafood dishes. We asked for Chicken Ghee roast and Prawn Gassi. Although the Chicken ghee roast tasted good, its presentation wasn't appealing. The ghee roast was directly dumped on the platter with hardly any garnishing. It was like the chef wants us to be gone. Additionally, the chicken was overcooked and had no flavor at all. Coming to Prawn Gassi, the taste and quantity was good but this also lacked any garnish. For desserts, we ordered Coconut Payasam and Badami Kulfi. The Coconut payasam tasted good in spite of the coconut milk slightly dominating the flavor. The Badami kulfi however was an utter disappointment. It neither tasted good nor was it presented well. I felt like I had never seen so much PAIN on a plate. We didn't eat the kulfi. We just couldn't. Anyways, like I mentioned, it was a mixed experience. There were things to appreciate and but then lots to improve. The restaurant team can do much more to ensure that the service staff are trained to improve their food & beverage knowledge and service skills. Overall I would say that the taste of the food and beverages served was decent but the chefs need to work a lot on the presentation and service skills. After all, as they say "The EYES that Eats first".

Its been so long that i didn't tried any seafood speciality restaurant.Visited here last week with my friend. We got a warm welcome from the Management ,especially Anand took care during our visit.Ambiance is good and dim lighting is used in some places. Started with Seafood combination soup ,which is prepared using fish and prawns. It was a great start.Next we tried Basa Fish Fry,well fried basa fish after a long time..Its a must try here.We tried Chicken Ghee Roast and it could have been little more better .Then we moved to appam & vijayawada fish curry(pomfret) again nothing much to say it was well cooked one ,that taste was relishing. Neer dosa tried with Mallipuram Chicken ,the best i tried here.Chicken semi gravy prepared using coconut water and spices. It was so heavy so we ended up with Gulab Jamun . It was a good experience and had good seadfood here after longtime.Good place for seafood lovers. Ambience:5/5 Food:4.5/5 Service:5/5 VFM:4/5
