Probably one of the best meals I've had in months, if not this year. I heard about the Chef Sota Atsumi's new restaurant opening and knew I had to go!We went for lunch which was 5 course for 50 EUR, and added the wine pairing for 40 EUR. I will say that I was a bit underwhelmed by the wine pairing and the pours were not generous, but the meal more than made up for this. The meal started with tartelettes done three ways: white beans; crab and onion; anchovy and corn. These were amazing and the tarts just melted in your mouth. The next course was sea bream with tomatoes and wine soaked peaches - so balanced and perfect. For the third selection, we had cuttlefish with mushrooms (this was amazing) and also wrapped in stem lettuce.Just when I thought there was no way the meal could get better, the main course surpassed every expectation. We had pork two ways: a pork loin with creamed bone marrow and plums. I could've swore I had died and gone to heaven. It was incredible. The second part of the course was pork and mussels wrapped in kale - also delicious, but the pork loin with creamed bone marrow was the true star.We ended the meal with a delightful pavlova with lychee and beets, topped with a pistachio gelato. Even though I'm not a huge fan of beets, I enjoyed this light and crisp pavlova. At the end of the meal, we wanted to see if we could go back the next day - alas they were closed for a private event. Bottom line - I'd skip Frenchie and Septime (both good, but considering how hard it is to get a reservation, I wouldn't go again) and go here!
