When your besties come into town you feast! I was lucky to get us into David Chang's restaurant Major Domo before it closed! Our only requirement was we wanted one of the three per day gigantic dinosaur bones. The full feast included the crab Dip, shaved foie gras, smoked whole late short rib which included using a portion of the rib meat to make fried rice, miso-marinated black cod, and mac and cheese with fresh shaved truffles. As a foodie, it's crazy to say this but this meal made my top ten from a single seating. Also, if you know me, you know I love being a carnivore, and that short rib would be my last meal on earth if have a choice. The flavor, the tenderness, all of it was just spectacular. The only downside, we were too stuffed to try the donut dessert.I am definitely going out to LA to try it there!~ @chrishough on IG

The stuffed chicken wings might be the weirdest and best thing I've ever had. Vibe here is sexy but not pretentious. We noshed on happy hour stuff at the bar and had a wonderful time. Would love to come back and do the beef plate rib with a group.

Had to try this spot by David Chang as I'm a big fan of this talented chef. I no longer eat meat or chicken so the gorgeous cuts of beef were not an option. My husband and I shared a Grand seafood tower worth every Penny. It was pricey but you're in Vegas and you want to eat well. Got the bing (flatbread) with butter and honey, yummmm. The bucatini which I say pass. Very oily and salty. And broccolini also salty and very garlicky. Passed on dessert. Place is expensive and best to go with a big group to share. They gave us a beautiful table and service. Will try again but with a bigger group.
Be the first to ReplySuper super overpriced.
Steak tartar was swimming in sesame oil to the point that we tasted it the next morning. And a short rib that is 300+ dollars? No thanks, better off going to delmonicos, getting a seafood tower, drinks, appetizers and a 10oz ribeye, which we did the previous night. Food pricing and food was really the only downside. Our server was fantastic and did an amazing job, so service is top notch. Just would like service, food and pricing to be on the same par.

My girlfriend and I have sort-of made a tradition of going to a Dave Chang restaurant for special occasions. Our first ever anniversary, we went to Momofuku and had a blast. For her birthday a couple years back, we went to Moon Palace and have been back numerous times. It was our five year anniversary today and we celebrated with Majordomo Meat and Fish and it did not disappoint! We tried to sample a little bit of everything from the menu, and honest-to-god everything was the best possible version of what it was. The ingredients were all fresh, the quality of the meat was top-notch, the range of sensations and tastes ran the gamut. Just incredible work from everybody! Special shout outs to Dayanara (sorry if I misspelled your name!) and Kayla for the exceptional service. We felt welcomed from the jump, and were attended to the entire time. They truly went above and beyond to make us feel special. These are two of the very special type of people you want in your restaurant, welcoming guests, giving recs, etc. They were both so great and match/exceed the high-quality of food you get at a Dave Chang restaurant.

Service and the food were very pleasant. We went for happy hour. We had the steak frites, salmon, Mac n cheese w/ short rib, creamed spinach and the bing bread with honey. The bing bread was very good. I would go back just for that. Overall, every thing was pretty tasty. The one star off is for the fatty short rib pieces. However I would go back to try their dinner.

Overall, the food was delicious! Our favorites were the bing bread, the broccoli, and macaroni & cheese. I wouldn't recommend the bacon and potato gratin as it was way too rich and soupy - we wish we didn't order that dish. We came here for a birthday celebration dinner so this was definitely a splurge meal with the 40 oz Ribeye. I personally don't think it was worth the money for the ribeye as we enjoyed the other side dishes more. We still had a great meal/experience though, and our waiter threw in a few complimentary items for my boyfriend's birthday which was really nice! Definitely get the bing bread (it was so freaking good!) And also the complimentary birthday ice cream was the best ice cream I've ever had and we were both shocked how good it was since it was literally just a plain scoop of ice cream. Overall, this place is great for a celebration meal or elevated date night.

I liked it but not for the price. We had sangria (which I thought was really good), the signature beef ribs, w foie gras and lobster add ons, and French fries. The fries were really great. I'm fussy about fries. These were prepared carefully. The lobster tails were small but ok and the foie gras was kind of small. The beef ribs were very good and they made fried rice with some of it. I liked it but I would not go again for $300 just for that. Total check $500 for 3 people + tip. When we were done the server brought the check. Did not offer dessert/coffee, and surprisingly did not arrange for our dinner dishes to be cleared. When the dinner is this expensive you cannot just leave the dishes on the table like at Denny's. I was surprised.

Fully packed on a Saturday night including a fully bought out back room...I think full o' lawyers. We had 1 of the last couple of giant beef tomahawk like ribs! Had to try this signature dishes of Dave's. It doesn't disappoint. Smoked all day to a tender mouth watering texture...it's pretty good. They slice it off the bone at table side. Kinda mimics ordering Peking/ Beijing duck from a classic Northen Chinese restaurant. Leftovers on the bone are taken to the back and stir fried into a fried rice dish. All in all very filling. And not cheap! But heck when in Vegas, do as the Romans do...!

I reserved for 6 of us. The food was outbid theirs world. I met the bartender Chris when I walked in. He was so nice. I wasn't drinking and he made me the best mocktail ever!! Do yourself a favor, you have to try them out. Look at this video! It says it all!
Be the first to ReplyWish I could give this place 6 STARS.
Service, food, presentation- everything was perfect. My friend ordered fish I order Filet Mignon. Filet was tender and cooked perfectly to medium rare. We also had the smoked whitefish dip and I would have been happy just with that - definitely a must for an appetizer, very unique. I wish I could remember the cocktails but loved the purple color and coupe glass. Highly recommend this place, I'll definitely be trying their location in L.A. Be aware VERY EXPENSIVE.... but worth every dollar!
Be the first to ReplyOverall Majordomo was a disappointment.
We went Thursday night as a group to celebrate the end of our trip to Vegas. Here are the details of our experience:6:30 reservation we were ushered to the deepest, darkest section of the restaurant near the Kitchen and Lobster Tank.We started with the appetizers and to be honest those were the highlight of the entire visit. We ordered the tingly lamb and the avocado dip. They were served with a flat bread to eat with. Both were amazing in appearance and taste. We then received our main entrees and sides. Two of us ordered the waygu strip - the seasoning was not there nor did the cut of meat resemble a strip steak. It looked to be the thickness of a skirt steak and honestly had no proof it was even waygu. I also had the half lobster tail with mine and it was rubbery in texture. Our other two ordered the fillet mignon and the waygu bavette. Both complained of lack of flavor. For sides we ordered the Mashed Potatoes. They looked like the rehydrated potato pearls you get at a cheaper restaurant and we're about the consistency of baby food. We also ordered the Mac n Cheese and it was very salty. The last side we actually enjoyed were the string beans. Those were tasty. The service was good and we had no complaints about our waiter and assistant. We had high hopes for our dining experience here based on the notoriety of David Chang, but in the end it was a waste of money. We paid the high price of branding and location for some very low quality entrees.

Majordomo Meat and Fish is located on the Palazzo side in Las Vegas. It's a fusion restaurant that many people enjoy and come here for meat and fish. Overall we had a large party of 20 but we had to sit separately across the way from each other so most of the night we didn't see the other table. Dinner was busy even on a weekday so plan on making reservations if you want to come and enjoy some food with friends. I'm a little bummed that two of our orders were completely dry and flavorless. The main one was the smoked prime rib. It was so dry and flavorless that we ended up not eating it. The next dish was the lobster, if I came back here I would for sure not order these two main dishes. We did not finish either of these items due to how they tasted. The sides and appetizers are pretty good but they should take more attention to the main food entrees. Dinner was still alright but many were still hungry afterward so we ended up eating something else afterward.
Be the first to ReplySo, the good and the bad.
The food is amazing. It's outrageously priced bur amazing. There's some sort of bread with butter and honey, and it was INSANE. Also, the wagyu strip is to die for. As for the bad, I was a solo diner and the guy shucking the oysters was so rude and unfriendly. When you dine alone and sit at the oyster bar, you kinda want to make chit chat. But this guy was so arrogant. Shame.

Made a 7:30pm reservation here for a Thursday night business dinner. There were 7 of us, 4 which were "customers". Let's just say they were afraid of the prices when they looked at the menu! We had a seafood platter as an appetizer and were amazed by the size of the shrimp (see pictures). The crab legs and scallops were excellent as well. The short ribs and 40oz Tomahawk beef were served family style along with Brussels sprouts, major pommes, and some other side dish made from some of the beef. An amazing dinner to go along with the $1,600 price tag (which included 10 beers and 2 cocktails)! Service was fine, but nothing overly exceptional.

I'd originally made a reservation for 6. But once more of the work crew heard we were going they wanted in. They'd heard about the short rib you had to order in advance and everyone wanted to try it. So I called and they couldn't have been more accommodating. The upped my reservation to 13 On arriving they offered to split us between two tables or give us a private room across from the restaurant that looks like it's a huge freezer from the outside. It's not, it's actually a dining room/karaoke bar. We took the private room. It ended up not only being a spectacular meal but an awesome experience. The staff couldn't have treated us better.

Everything was delicious! The wagu fillet was so well seasoned and tender. The sea bass was super tasty, but very small...not close to 6 oz! Green beans were so yummy with a hint of spice. Impeccable service by the wait staff. Perfect place to go for special occasions! The price tag isn't cheap, but definitely worth it.

Wow! Another wonderful trip to Majordomo, this time for happy hour. Ate like a king. Beautiful refined kushi oysters, giant juicy and flavorful shrimp, fresh bread with amazing dips, abs a wonderful stuffed chicken wing. The flavors are phenomenal. The price for happy hour is unbearable. And the sangria is pretty pretty good too.

Where do I even start? I visited Majordomo because a friend kept raving about it. In short, it did not disappoint. The drinks were incredible and so was the quality of the short rib and side items.

More specifically the short rib fried rice was AMAZING. 10 stars. I wish I could just order that.We also ordered the crab pasta which was also delicious and I would get it again and the meat one that was just ok. Bing bread was delicious. I think we got the honey +. butter and the smoked whitefish.Almost everything here is family style so it's difficult if everybody doesn't agree on the same thing because the dishes are pretty large & it is pretty expensive. We were 4 to 5 girls eating the short rib platter and we still had leftovers. Drinks were also good. I wish I remember what I ordered LOL.All in all, I would go back but probably only in a big group due to the large dishes. I tend not to eat a ton in Vegas and so there would be too much food to go with just two or three people.

The Chicken and Mushrokm crispy rice, bing bread and snapper are to die for. Seriously, flavor explosion in the best way possible and service was amazing!!
