The food is always really good here but the service isn't
The food is always really good here but the service isn't what I'd expect from a restaurant at this level. They're not very accommodating to customers, took forever to get someone to answer their phones when I called with a question and the actual service at the table wasn't enjoyable. The server was quick and knowledgeable but not friendly and again, not accommodating, which when you're spending $800+ on a night out is disappointing to say the least. If anything I actually just felt uncomfortable. Torn between 2 and 3 stars but since the food was good and we received everything correctly and quickly I decided to go with 3. I won't ever come back though and I can't recommend it to anyone. I've been to too many other delicious restaurants where I felt like they actually prioritized customer satisfaction.
My boyfriend and I went here for our 1 year anniversary.
It was really yummy food. We got a few appetizers to split between us. The ricotta agnolotti was definitely my favorite, but my boyfriend loved the octopus. The octopus sauce was kind of spicy, which I liked. The meatballs were great, very moist and I loved the sauce they came in. Our server was very kind and made sure our anniversary was special. They even started us with a toast! I usually drink water very fast and tonight I never had an empty glass. The inside is very romantic, with candlelit tabes, and dark throughout the restaurant. I liked the mood here.
A Culinary Gem.
Lots of accolades for the Maple & Ash restaurant in the bosom of Scottsdale. Rich textures, plush seating and soft lighting create an ideal dining ambiance. The universal menu is drenched in succulent food fare the likes of: Yellowfin Tuna Tartare, Grilled Branzino, Australian Lamb Chops, Filet Mignon and more. I indulged in a delicious trio of Roasted Bone Marrow, Roasted Sea Bass and Brussel Sprouts. Maple & Ash is a culinary gem providing an extraordinary dining experience.
The Surprise Corn Side - A Winner
Went for an anniversary dinner with friends. We had steak and salmon with Brussel sprouts, corn, mac n cheese, and meatballs as an appetizer. The meatballs were really good. And the corn was the star of the sides.

I love this place and have been a good number of times so it hurts me to say that brunch was a little disappointing. I was sad to see (but I get it, everything is expensive these day) that the brunch had changed and the extra side dishes were taken away. One friend got the omelet and tho she said it was delicious I think for $32 it was over priced. Avocado toast for my other friend and myself and it was good, not great, again a bit pricy. A little more attention could have been paid to the arugula salad. We ordered potatoes, asparagus and bacon for sides and they were all good and nice size portions. Service was excellent as always. Cocktails on point and the ambiance can't be beat. I will definitely be back for dinner, not sure I would return for brunch.

My friends and I came to Scottsdale for a Girls' Trip Weekend and collaborated on where to eat. Maple & Ash was on everyone's list and it did not disappoint. Our server was AMAZING and super empathetic of our picky eaters/drinkers and made the best recommendations. We did a "Girl Dinner" of appetizers, side dishes and cocktails. The caesar salad, the black truffle loaded potato, meatballs, and the rigatoni all'amatriciana were my favorites. The caviar onion dip was so delicious and held us over until all the amazing food came. Loved the ambiance and the F*@KING theme! Will definitely return when I'm back in Scottsdale.

Greeted with a complimentary prickly pear cocktail and caviar topped onion dip was amazing. The staff was extremely attentive throughout the night which I appreciated. Best Caesar salad I've ever had they serve it on full romaine boats with healthy amounts of Parmesan cheese and dressing. The tuna tartar was solid. Ribeye was average and the atmosphere was like a club with blaring music and people shouting which is the only reason this isn't getting 5 stars. Check this place out for sure.

This was the first time I went to Maple & Ash, and I was excited to go try it. They have a complimentary valet, which was very nice they have that .We made reservations, and when we got there, they were ready to sit us, which is always a plus in my book. We were a party of four and we had a table that seats for I must say their tables are a little bit tight but I guess since they're so busy maybe that's why they're use smaller than normal tables, that's the first day I saw and I got to the table and I worried how are all our dishes going to fit. It worked out because they are quick to clear the table and get things out of your way once you're done, so there was actually always room on the table for that reason. We ordered of you appetizers, and they were very good. I would go back just for those meatballs in order 2 orders. Appetizers came out really fast and also did not take long to get our drinks. But then you will be waiting for some time for your actual dinner to get to your table. I was able to go outside for at least 20 minutes then go to the restroom and go out for another 10 minutes and this is on top of the time that I was actually sitting at the table waiting. We got our plates, and all of them were good and had great presentations. So the only complaint I would have is that the mac and cheese was not edible it was too salty, and sadly , it was also the wagyu plate. I think the person who made those dishes was not realizing how much salt they were putting. I mentioned it to our server, and without any issues, they took care of it. The simple fact our server apologized and took action right away makes me feel that they have great service and they really care about your experience. Overall, it was a great dinner. It was a great ambiance and excellent service , and I plan on making it a place that I can recommend for good food.

This was one my most enjoyable dining experiences by far.
Service could seriously not have been better. He was extremely attentive and excellent when helping me choose cocktails and deciding steak choices. The table side steak presentation was truly enjoyable and the communications with the chef were unique. The steak melted in my mouth. The mac & cheese, asparagus and potatoes were just amazing sides. I highly recommend this fine dining experience, and of course make a reservation.

Maple & Ash is always my go-to spot for almost any occasion! It has a super fun ambiance that feels fresh and lively but still very classy! I love to come to Maple and Ash for happy hour, they have an incredible happy hour with amazing deals on oysters and drinks! If you want to go there for happy hour, I suggest just waiting outside for them to open and requesting a table at the bar. I also love to come here whenever I get the opportunity for dinner. I highly highly recommend ordering the "I Don't Give a F@$&" which I believe is the all-time best way to experience Maple & Ash. It's a coursed out dinner that hits all the best parts of the menu and it's honestly an amazing deal for the amount of food and the experience!

1?!! This was hands down the best experience and best food we've ever had! This is a restaurant you must go to! Do not hesitate, confirm your reservation immediately!! Dillion was a fantastic waiter and we loved his personality; welcoming, great sense of humor, and perfect recommendations for our first dining experience here. We will ask for him when we come back. We did the "I don't give a f*@k" dinner option for two and it was such a great decision. Every single course that came out was out of this world! From the seafood, to the salad, to the velvety potatoes, steaks, fish, and dessert. Can we please go back soon?! A big thank you to the chefs and team for a truly memorable meal.

Fantastic birthday Brunch! We had a party of eight and we all enjoyed our meals. Attentive service, beautiful decor, great people watching, fabulous food & cocktails. What a fun experience and I will definitely be back again. I live nearby and for some reason, I've never been but always heard great reviews. Maple & Ash was just lovely!
My husband and I made reservations for our anniversary.
We schedule for 8pm. We had to wait for a while because they were behind on the reservations. It's not a big deal, just not a good 1st impression. We finally got seated a little after 8:30. My husband ordered a Shirley temple, and I ordered an ice tea that has a weird after tast. His Shirley temple was purple and tasted horrible, so he then ordered a coke, which was flat. We both ordered the Maple and Ash surf and turf. The filet was very soft, but lobster was very bland and had no seasoning. Our server was really good, that why I gave some stars. I continued to drink my ice tea with the straw that was given. I then got something hard in my mouth after drinking my tea, which at first I thought maybe it was ice, so I continued to try to bit down, and it didn't break. I took it out of my mouth, and it was glass. My husband called the server over and showed her the glass. She said she was getting a manager. I went to the restroom to rinse out my mouth to make sure I wasn't bleeding. I came back, and the server had asked if the manager had come, and we said no. After a while, he finally came. His name was Ferguson. He was able to deduct some money off the check and offer a free dessert. At that point, I really wanted to leave. Our server did say the glass could have been mixed in with the ice. I would assume if someone was getting the cup and using it to get ice. But I wanted to make this review because thank God this didn't happen to a child. I understand mistakes happen, but I wouldn't have expected this from an upscale restraunt.
Went for dinner on a Saturday with friends.
The drinks were terrible, specifically the martinis. The food was all over-salted. The bread was just OK. The blue cheese dressing was runny. The steak (ribeye) had good flavor but was super fatty. My wife's filet was overcooked. We will never dine here again. Too many choices with much better food and service.

Pretty good
This place is BUSY even on a Tuesday evening with well heeled types of all ages. We sat at the bar as we found it in passing and the food was pretty good but not amazing for the price. The oysters were the smallest I’d ever seen and the grilled octopus starter was one leg (and a couple of bits of the hood which I’ve never been served anywhere in the world) and a lot of fried new potatoes. The garlic sauce was overpowering and a bit of a disappointing dish over all. The steak tartare was excellent though as was the beet salad and the hamachi with grapefruit. Good vibe in there but some overtly noisy diner nearby really rather ruined it with his ‘AND UH’ high decibelled commencement of each diatribe of his rather underwhelming exploits. If you want to blow your own trumpet, join a brass band and be mindful of others.

The food is pretty darn good, but the prices are much higher than what I've seen at some other area steakhouses. The pomp and circumstance is what makes this a must see spot, but I don't know that I'd come back again. The servers attention and presentation is very nice. But we were charged for a side sauce that we didn't order because the waiter brought it over to us and said it would be great with the meal. Because we didn't personally order it, I thought it wouldn't be added on to the bill, but alas it was. It just left a weird feeling to me, as if our $500+ bill wasn't enough for him that he had to tack on a $17 sauce we didn't order. The whole experience was fun, but again I don't think you need to go back again and again.
Been a few times and absolutely loved it.
I found an amazing love for this energy and vibe. It's low lighting, beautiful scenery and amazing service! They definitely have fun with their celebrations! Birthdays, bachelor/bachelorettes, bridal, anniversaries and more! The steak is amazing and their truffle potato is to die for and the Mac and cheese is amazing! Their caviar appetizer is delicious!! The bartenders are so kind and courteous and truly made the experience fun. In the future, we will probably continue to sit at the bar!

Easily one of the top five restaurants in Scottsdale, maybe even Arizona. You have to experience this for yourself because nothing I say will do justice.

My husband surprised me with reservations at Maple and Ash because he knew how much I loved this place. I was so excited to come back. Let me just say, second time around, still the same amazing 5 star experience. I love this place. It's so busy and poppin, yet we still have an intimate, romantic dinner. The service is great and as a friend I mine said, "this place really makes you feel special!"
The food isn't good for the price.
My medium steak was dry and chewy and a bit tasting burnt on the surface. The taste and seasoning were not really good either. For the price, the food is below average. The only good thing is that the waiters are very friendly and polite and take good care of you.
New Brunch menu is terrible
Have been enjoying Maple and Ash brunch for years - It has become our go to for every birthday and celebration - They just launched their new brunch menu as we had two reservations for upcoming celebrations and it is a la carte and terrible- so bummed and canceling our plans to visit your restaurant!!
Rude and Disrespectful
The hostess gave our away reservation, allegedly, to someone with the same exact first and last name. She told us she would straighten it out and get us seated. After 10 minutes, we told her we were going to wait in the bar. Less than 2 minutes later, she approached us in the bar and said a table came up the moment we walked away, so she gave it to someone else since “YOU CHOSE TO GO THE BAR”. At that moment we decided we had enough. After receiving a confirmation text for our reservation the evening before with a laundry list of rules, combined with the rude and incompetent hostess, we decided to leave. We had a lovely meal at Francine and were treated respectfully. My take away was that unless you want to make a Tik Tok, don’t bother.

to start with, we have been going to Maple and Ash since they opened. The first few visits were great, then it all changed, mainly because of their staff. I understand Covid issues so i won't comment on that period. This last visit , Feb 1, will be our last. The past 2 February 1 we took my inlaws for my father in law's birthday. This November when he fell ill, he and my mother in law decided to give all their kids generous gift certificates for M&A. Unfortunately he passed on in Dec so we all decided to take my mother in law on his birthday, Feb 1 , to dinner in honor of him. In January we made our reservations for 7 pp at 6:30. We arrived 15 minutes early on a rainy cold night. They made the 4 of us wait in the cold lobby until the rest of the party arrived? Really, my 85 year old mother in law in the drafty lobby? We asked if we can be seated while we waited to have a drink and we were told to go to the bar. At 6:30 all arrived, but they have their system, we had to wait another 10 minutes for the walker to the table person to arrive to walk us to the table. The table was on the patio, the patio that was added in the driveway during covid, not a beautiful patio with a view or anything, just a cold ugly add on, a cold drafty add on. We asked for a better table, explained we had reservations for a month, and the place was 2/3 empty with plenty of options to move us. We were told we didn't specify an inside table when we made the reservation, really, there was no option for inside or outside, it was january when we made a reservation for feb 1. they made us wait in the cold lobby , after 30 minutes we asked to cash in the gift certificates so we can leave, of course they can't do that but the table is almost ready? 15 more minutes it was ready so we waited another 5 mintues for the walker to the table person. Now its almost 8:00, we're cold and hungry. of course drinks first before we can order our appetizers. Well appetizers came before the drinks, the drinks took 20 minutes, really? We ordered our entrees, 5 total steaks of various cuts and temps. One steak ordered med rare was burnt, i mean charred burnt (ash) and the medium well was purple raw and cold. They both had their sides on the plates before realizing both were inedible. Server took the raw one back and left the burnt one. 15 minutes later we stop him to ask for the steaks. the medium well comes back like shoe leather and the sides were cold!!! The medium rare was good. They took a $72 steak , put it back on the grill, then it sat there and was returned with a cold plate! it was insulting as much as disgusting how little they cared. and thats not all! The server was shaking a martini behind my husband and it splashed all ove his head and his suit jacket. when i turned to tell him he gave us the nastiest look and walked away. No napkin, no effort to dry him up. Not wanting to ignite the family, i excused myself to the rest room and followed the manager into the bar area to speak with her. I asked why she hasn't been to our table to speak to us about all the messed up food and such and she said our server dind't let her know there was an issue. Really? The table they finally allowed us to sit was actually in the walk way from host to kitchen, and she was posted 4 ft away from us the entire night. We were able to hear all her orders to her staff , thats how close she was. Well , we ordered dessert. While we were enjoying the ice cream tower the server presents the bill ?????? the men all put their cards on the table and he continued to pick them up right in between us conversing and serving dessert. then to top it off, he approaches my husband , while he was spooning a mouthful of ice cream into his mouth, to go over the petty discount they gave us for the bad steaks. Thats when i had to say 'really, while we're eating?'. again, he briskly walked away. my mother in law actually apologized to us for her Christmas gift! Beautiful place, thats why we kept giving it a try, but really if you want an eventful night out with proper service I would suggest Ocean Club! This was just appalling. Its called the turn and burn type of restaurant. its in the tourist area, has corporate backing, so it appeals to the visitors. I get it, but there are so many exquisite places to enjoy .

Celebrating my birthday in AZ my hubby and I had dinner here and it was amazing. I have had steaks at many steakhouses and this is the best steak I have ever had. It was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is fun and vibrant! Our sever was fun and took good care of us.

Such a nice spot for date night or girls night. We celebrated my birthday here and so glad we did. The waitress was phenomenal in her suggestions and attention to detail.

Excellent fine cuisine at fine dining prices. Shareable sides. Super sized desserts. Stiff drinks. Loud, noisy, and busy though. Reservation honored 15 minutes late.
A Culinary Must
We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday here while on vacation and will definitely return. From the text prior with dress code expectations to the service throughout the meal, we were beyond impressed. Every detail was amazing and the food was incredible. Thank you for helping to make his day perfect!!

We spent one night in old town Scottsdale and decided to check out this place because we were craving steak tartare. We like to sit at the bar and had to wait probably 30 minutes, standing behind a couple who were finishing up. We don’t like to stand behind people, but everyone else was and if we hadn’t, we would not have gotten a seat. We were wearing jeans and t-shirts, having been on the road all day. We were probably the most casually dressed couple in the restaurant, but nobody seemed to care. All the ladies were dressed to the 9’s. Bartender Christina (sp?) was fantastic and recommended the beef carpaccio, which was absolutely to die for. It came with crab meat and caviar… my mouth is watering just thinking about it! The steak tartare was delicious as well. The prices are expensive for sure, but worth it in our opinion. It was crowded and noisy, but we didn’t mind.

Obviously had to get the birthday menu. Sides and drinks were amazing but the steak was below average. My fiancé has a ranch so we have great steak all the time, but I'm not kidding. I couldn't finish even a quarter of the steak. It was tastless. I should've sent it back but I didn't. I would go back but I would not get the steak. Also share food. We ordered way to much individually and the leftovers don't taste the same the next day.

The most brand meal of my life. Paid $100 for mediocre brunch. The service is great but the food is just not worth the price at all. I wouldn't recommend this place honestly.

we loved oysters here quite savory and didn't even need lemon. scallops were ok . we loved the fried roasted prawns . house cocktail was just too sweet. my daughter's mocktail didn't turn out right but they tried to fix it. good services both times . hamachi crudo had good flavor. we didn't care for the king crab way way too salty but the brazino was on point just a bit salty on the skin. all in all we were happy please try the oysters we had a few dozens

I've lived in the valley close to a decade and I've hit up
I've lived in the valley close to a decade and I've hit up most of the popular steakhouses. Many of the high end ones are owned by the same parent company, they have the same looking menu, and are overpriced with sides that are overly salted and buttered. Maple & Ash is built different. The dry aged ribeye prepared "Chicago" style is simply the best steak you can find in the Valley. The char brings out the beefy, almost suet flavor coupled with a crispy texture, thanks to the inherently high fat content of the cut. The Caesar salad is a minimalist's dream, single stacked Romain leaves with just the right amount of acidity, well dressed but not overly to the point of sogginess. Creamed corn was a nice addition not too creamy, but the bone marrow stuffing I would avoid..tasted more like a boxed stuffing (although I doubt it was). Wifey ordered the perfectly cooked and seasoned seafood tower. Coconut creamed pie/dessert was on point as was the knowledgeable server. The prices are high but considering the quality of food and the location it's as expected. My only complaint is the bathroom attendant....not his behavior but the fact that there is one. I can assure you no one wants a person in the bathroom standing around when you are trying to do your thing. Then if you don't have smaller bills on you it's uncomfortable. This doesn't make your place seem classy..it's an old outdated tradition..that diminishes the trendy vibe of the restaurant and awkward, uncomfortable and antiquated. You are better than that! Great food though!

Went to M&A for birthday dinners. Food was very salty. Too much salt on the steaks on all 4/4 ordered. The fish decent but again salty. Printed B-day menu for us. No offers for at least 1 comp bday desert like other places (Durants offered 3 comp b-day deserts...) Oh well.

Third time in Scottsdale and third time at Maple and Ash if that says anything! As a sister restaurant to the fabulous Monarch in Dallas we hopes that we would be in for a good time and of course were not disappointed. Started off with drinks at the bar which had a great atmosphere and a decent amount of seating without turning into a party scene. Moving into dinner, the crowd went from couples enjoying a night out to groups celebrating special occasions. When our food came out one order of sides was delayed so our server brought a complimentary couple dishes with the mains while the sides finished up so that we weren't left with nothing to start with. This was most appreciated. Overall the service was attentive and knowledgeable and we really enjoyed the experience. Would recommend Maple and Ash.

Everything about my recent dining experience at Maple & Ash was perfection. A DELICIOUS caviar appetizer and "welcome drink" on the house, followed by a bone marrow appetizer that was AMAZING. Perfectly cooked Filets and a delicious bottle Pinot, recommended by the server. Overall, highly recommend dining here for a special occasion or if you want to be wined and dined!

.. Maple and Ash, please count your days... until I come back. Service was PHENOMENAL. The ambiance was top tier, and the food service/quality was unmatched! We initially landed seats at the bar because it was Friday night... so you know the bases were loaded, aka it was BUSY! and I was not Beyonce, nor was my date Jay-z... so we had to wait our turn, lol. The service at the bar was amazing. The blonde lady in a black button-down was my least favorite part of the evening/experience. She had an unwelcoming attitude about herself.. so we waited on the fine gentleman wearing a black vest. I loved his suggestions, and cocktails were made to perfection... I can almost taste the mezcal on my lips now just thinking about it. The lady with the black tube top and tattoos was an entire vibe. Anywho.. we got seated with Serenity, and my date moved my seat to be by him because across the table was too far... I know, I know.. We were greeted with chips and dip topped with caviar, bread and butter, as well as a prickly pear martini!!Serenity *our server for the evening* was very opinionated over the dishes that I loved. We did the fish options, bubbling potatoes and a side of veggies. We were too stuffed for desserts, but we will definitely be back to try the expresso martini! Honorable mention goes to the bathroom... I never take bathroom selfies... but I did that day!

My friends car got stolen from valet, the GM didn't come handle the situation sent her Assistant to fight her battle. They claim to say they don't have authority over valet, when clearly valet is just a representation of the restaurant. The assistant didn't answer any of our questions. Made us feel like it was our responsibility to keep track of the car. At the end they bribe us with drinks "on the house" or maybe to try to get us to relax. Over all coward of a manager and staff.

We recently visited Maple & Ash for my husband's and what a treat. It hit on all levels, service, cocktails, food, ambiance. Everything was top notch. The caviar service presentation was gorgeous and absolutely delicious. The cocktails were all very well balanced and creative. The sommelier was super knowledgeable. But, our server Josh was absolutely, hands down, the best. He made the evening that much better. What an absolute delight. We will be back.

Each posting on AppointmentTrader shows you which user submitted it and along with that provides a trackrecord of that user which indicates how much experience
the user has and how many percent of their transactions resulted in them issuing a refund.
If there is no user posting that fits your schedule, you can bid on your preferred time.
Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Maple & Ash Scottsdale at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Maple & Ash Scottsdale page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* ImmortalStep65, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* ImmortalStep65 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ImmortalStep65 for any questions Peter may have as ImmortalStep65 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ImmortalStep65 now uses their connections at Maple & Ash Scottsdale to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ImmortalStep65 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ImmortalStep65 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ImmortalStep65's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Maple & Ash Scottsdale!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
