Market Table New York Reviews from The Last Year
Great food and great service for a Sunday brunch! The
Great food and great service for a Sunday brunch! The indoor space is on the smaller side, but they do have outdoor seating as well. We ordered coffees and a variety of items for the table: spicy grilled gulf shrimp tacos, chicken & scallion waffle, Turkish eggs, Jonah Crab Eggs Benedict, mushroom toast, and fries. The food came out fairly quickly, which we appreciated. Everything tasted delicious and also felt healthier and lighter (which is great) compared to a lot of other classic American brunches. I saw that this restaurant is part of a restaurant group with other spots in the area, like Little Owl and the Mary Lane - can't wait to check those out next time!

Always love coming here but this season's menu is particularly good. Ordered the burrata app, codfish, and crème brulee and all 3 were delicious. So many different flavors that blend so well together. Also most of the menu is gluten free or can be modified to be. Waiter was very knowledgeable of cross contamination and I felt very safe eating here as a celiac.

I went to this restaurant for some lunch and a couple of cocktails. When I arrived, I had to circle the block a few times to find parking. I found parking about 10 minutes away. I walked into a cute restaurant. I was sat by the manager and Luis was my server, and he was good. I ordered from the lunch menu, the pumpkin gnocchi, and the Nashville chicken sandwich. For my cocktails, I got the espresso martini, which was really good, and the lemon drop martini, which was ok. The food came out, and I enjoyed the gnocchi. It was different as far as flavor but good. The Nashville chicken sandwich was good, just a little sticky. I definitely had a good experience!

3.5 rounding down to 3 Came here for brunch with a friend with no expectations and was actually pleasantly surprised! The restaurant itself is super cute and located in a perfect area in the West Village. The staff was so kind and provided great recommendations as well. We got the espresso martinis, which were some of the best I've had in the city. My friend and I decided to split 2 entrees so we could try a few things. We got the chicken and waffle and the hash brown with eggs. The chicken was fried perfectly and was really tasty, and the waffle was good as well, though I wasn't the biggest fan of the hot honey on top. The hash brown was soooo tasty, but neither of us really enjoyed the hollandaise that was put on top. Overall, I might come back, but I'm not sure I would go out of my way.

Market Table is a local gem! This is one of those restaurants that we all have in our neighborhoods that we make a habit of going again and again. It's one of those consistent performers where you can take your friends and know that they will be fed well and treated well. This is not a "me too" restaurant that serves "Fried Calamari" or "Clam Chowder". There food is meticulously prepared and well presented using high quality "farm to table" ingredients. I also like the fact that I see the same servers over and over again. The waitstaff is consistent and knowledgeable about the ingredients in all of the dishes and cocktails. The host, Pam, always greets us (and every other customer) with a huge smile of recognition. We love this place and you will to. It's worth noting that Market Table is part of a restaurant group that includes The Clam, Little Owl and the Mary Lane (among others). These are all really good restaurants, but my local favorite is Market Table.

Downhill in all aspects
Unfortunately the quality of food here has really gone downhill. A recent visit proved that they can’t get the basics right; no bread is available , An omelette was almost raw, no one came to ask about the food. The prices are higher than anywhere in the whole neighborhood. Spare yourself a bad meal and go to another venue!
All I can Say is My god! What a letdown! I was here
All I can Say is My god! What a letdown! I was here recently before catching a movie at the film Forum. I have been here many times before and had -up until this time- a good experience. This time-I went for lunch - And it was simply awful: The server was sullen, a request for bread was deemed inappropriate- But Now the food: simply bad and disappointing!' The Omelette with cauliflower and bacon tasted like it had been boiled and was barely cooked. It was like eating Raw mushy egg. I have had omelette s here before and they were great. It is not hard to make an omelette. My ten year old niece can make one. At these prices- $26.00( including a Soda) I'd rather get an avocado toast or a smoked salmon on a bagel from Anywhere in the Village. I noticed the place was not busy so I can only venture to guess that other clients have noticed the same changes in the food quality. Nevertheless, from my perspective , I guess I'll need to find another spot to have lunch in the West Village.
Great food.
Exceptional service. Solid vibe. The Market Breakfast is heat. Soft scramble your eggs because it's legit the best way to take your eggs. Be baller and a shot caller by slathering some wicked good Dijon all up over that sausage patty. This is NYC and you can't get a good biscuit to save your life. Market Table has the best in the city. Maybe the only. Word up.
Loved it
Great location on Manhattan. Very friendly staff, great food and a decent selection of wines. One of these smaller, cosy places that one should always try and visit when in New York.

Stopped by for brunch with some girlfriends on a Sunday, made a resy but saw people walk in without one and be seated. Nomz: Had the smoked Gouda bacon cheeseburger and it was a big one haha menu didn't mention it but it was double meat and came with a healthy portion of fries. It was pretty tall, so hard to get a good bite in but was flavorful. Drinks: Went with a bubbly rose, not too fruity, on the drier side. Service: Was phenomenal, Sam was our server and he was super genuine and nice and nailed the right amount of checking in on us. Ambiance: Seems like a great spot for families, we were in the outside heated tent and it was quiet, too quiet for what we were looking for. Inside seemed a little more lively and had some music on. Nope or Dope: Nope for me, personally the vibes were not what I was looking for in a brunch place and food wasn't out of this world to come back otherwise.
We went here for lunch before seeing a movie at IFC.
They're very close to each other. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the food and drinks. I highly recommend trying the What's Up Doc. The Market Lunch was an excellent value. We had the salmon and chicken entrees. They come with 2 sides. The chicken portion was twice the size of the salmon. The crispy mushrooms were excellent.

Wow the food was spectacular! We had the salmon, halibut, polenta, strawberry shortbread. Everything was excellent. It's not too crowded but it def filled up at dinner time. Perfect for a lowkey dinner where you want to wow the tastebuds of your guest (and yourself!). Yes, there's a happy hour. It ends at 5pm.
Wonderful
Fantastic food and ambiance - loved the vibe fr the moment we walked into the restaurant - the maître d’ i guess could not have been more cordial - wait staff, everyone of them, was helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes. And every dish was beautiful and well prepared. Couldn’t have had a more enjoyable evening
