To put it simply~this place slaps but fr they need to chill it with the prices I recommend their spicy Parmesan garlic wings/corn cheese/galbi and if you're feeling a lil spicy try the alien juice soju

Great late night spot for drinks and food! We ordered soju, seafood pancakes and tteokbokki. The pancakes were loaded and delicious. Tteokbokki also hit the spot and you'll love it especially if you love jalapeños. One of the best parts was maybe the large free rice we got. Service was quick and the vibes were fun. Would definitely come back!

Awesome service and delicious food every time no matter the hour. The portions are pretty big too!

Good food, it's a bit salty at times but it's overall great for hanging out with people whenever you're out late. Knocked out a star because the service is super limited - they're really short staffed or something all the time. I wish they would hire more to accommodate more people, especially when it gets so busy. I found it a bit irritable that when we wanted banchan refills it was super limited since they put it in a tiny plate that feeds barely one person lol. Other than that, looking forward to trying their other stuff
Be the first to ReplyI love this place.
When I was living in San Diego I would go with a group at least twice a month. Now that I dont live there, I make sure to eat here whenever I am in town. The family style dining is a great option for groups to get a delicious, filling, and affordable meal. I've gone in a group of 4 and I've gone with a group of 15+ and the food was always served in a timely manner. Would absolutely recommend this place to lovers of Korean food and those who are new to Korean food. My first time dining here was in the fall of 2021 & my most recent time visiting was February 2024; this entire time the quality of the food has remained just as great.

Min Sok Chon is a classic place to eat if you and a group of friends are craving Korean food on Convoy. With unlimited complimentary rice and sides, you're sure to walk out of here stuffed! I especially enjoyed the gizzards and pork bone jungol, but I would advise against getting the fries for the price! Additionally, the vibe here is immaculate and they offer karaoke rooms that you can rent out for your party.
Be the first to ReplyI came with a party of 5 and was seated very quickly.
It was pretty dark inside but comfortable at the same time. The waiters were very kind and accommodating as we ordered the japchae, potato and bacon pancake, corn cheese, and bulgolgi fries. Everything tasted amazing and we left feeling very full and satisfied. The menu may seem pricy but the portions were very large so it was definitely worth getting everything. The pancake was a little underwhelming for its texture but the fries were quickly devoured. The japchae's noodles were satisfyingly chewy which was a delight for me since I love chewy foods and the corn cheese was very delicious.

Delicious Spicy Garlic Parmasaen wings and fries! Great atmosphere and fast service. The soju is also recommended! Any flavor is super good! White rice is free. Also, they give a few little appetizers that are free.. Overall, good service and good food.

Favorite was definitely fried rice and corn cheese and galbi and area 51 shoju. Fried rice had so much mixed that added the flavors. And it was such a treat to get a flaming birthday shot. Unfortunately the bulgogi was dry and the women's restroom stall was messy and cannot lock. Still Id comeback for that fried rice
Be the first to ReplyMe and my family always come here for over 10 years now .

It's a diverse place where you can sing karaoke, have a drink or eat some good food. I come here often and I always have a great time. Their customer service is always impeccable. What keeps me coming back here is their chicken wing original. It's crispy and well serve every time. I usually order white rice to eat with my wings, but I wanted to try their Shrimp fried rice. The fried rice wasn't bad, it just had too much veggie but it was pretty good in my opinion. To compliment my meal, I always get a seafood pancake. It's crispy and soft and their dipping sauce is always on point. If I really want to drink I would order a couple of bottle of soju, my favorite soju is yogurt soju. The ambiance here really depends what time of the day and week. On the weekends is pack with people singing and weekdays is best if you want to enjoy your food and get in quicker,

A fun place if you like drinking and a place to hang out with friends

Friendly service and the food was great, Soju was on point as well. I would recommend going early before it gets packed.

this place is really good! me and my 7 friends came here at around 12 and we got seated right away. It stays open till 3 so it's a great spot to come to after you've been drinking for a while and need to grab a bite, or even drink here! their drinks here are fireeeee. so delicious. I was pretty drunk so i ordered the fish egg soup and i killed it. That was one of the best soups i've ever had and i was so happy to see that on the menu because i don't see many places in san diego that serves fish egg soup. There were a generous amount of fish egg, they did not skimp which i love! It was the perfect amount of spice and the food came out pretty quick. It was $23 for the soup which is pretty pricey but it can definitely serve 2, and it was worth it in my opinion. Will be back for sure!
Be the first to ReplyGood 'ole reliable.
Always great Korean bar food, and a generous happy hour that ends at 8pm.This is the BEST traditional K-town-style bar in San Diego. My friends and I have been coming here for 20+ years now ever since we turned 21 back in college. Their menu is always evolving but the core foods are always been yummy and it's my soul food. I LOVE LOVE their Pork Tofu Kimchi. The theme and atmosphere is VERY K-Town like, if you're into that.I kind of wish they brought back the BBQ Eel. For many years that's been my go-to here until they removed it haha.

Went with a party of 8 and waited about 30 minutes on a Friday night. If you are familiar with the area, you know it's a popular spot for everyone to grab food and drinks with friends. Got Sat in a large room where they used to do karaoke. Ordered a variety of items because we wanted to try everything. Can't remember it all but the highlights were definitely the bulgolgi wings and the tofu soup. And the best part was all the items came out extremely quick which is a bonus. We also ordered soju cocktails and they were great. Service was great and the gentleman helping us was really helpful. Would come again if I was in the area.

We stumbled onto this spot on Christmas while looking for a place to go late-night when most bars were closed. Min Sok Chon was open and is your typical Korean pub with appetizers, food items, and of course plenty of soju and beer to enjoy. We mixed a few flavors of soju, but my favorite was yogurt and pomegranate. We also ordered a regular bottle of soju and some Cass beer to enjoy a Korean drinking game I know from Seoul called "Titanic." The bulgogi fries were a good snack for everyone to enjoy and fairly priced. A good Korean twist on Carne Asada Fries. The banchan could be better, but its complimentary. It was a good time and the staff usually comes and brings items quickly...we also had no problem closing our checks. The call button does it job. The bathrooms could be a little cleaner, but its not too surprising considering the atmosphere. They keep the doors to the bathrooms open which is probably a good idea.I recommend Min Sok Chon.
Be the first to ReplyIt had been a while since we'd been.
Definitely not what it was before. Soju tasted watered down. The only thing worth returning for would be theBulgogi, but I doubt we'll be back.
Be the first to Replyrespectfully, the worst korean restaurant ever.
We weren't served any side dishes. the food was meh. did not get a bowl of rice with our orders, family from Korea flew in and was expecting a side or rice with their soup (like a normal korean restaurant). We had to ask for some rice, rice we got...but instead of our own individual bowls, a huge tub of rice. The place was more of a bar/club vibe rather than a restaurant you would take your family to. Although this wasn't much of a problem, my parents disliked that the servers didn't know the menu in korean. I guess their standards are just high from white people learning their menu in korean. The bulgogi tasted cheap. This one intestine dish was like 1/4 intestine and 3/4 jalapeños. Overall, no side dishes and rice with order was the biggest flaw to us. would not come back...
Be the first to ReplyThe food was terrible.
The Top Ramen beef flavored is better than their Korean Ramen Beef broth. Steamed Egg is horrible not even a single taste... people have you heard about SALT? The Kimchi Fried Rice is like a pudding. You can eat in other Korean places but as NOT in this place!!! The worst part was paid $115, for something we did not even enjoyed... oh well!!!! I should have given this joint zero star.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was not good 1.
ramen was packet ramen and broth was flavorless.2.steam egg was lacking any seasoning 3. Kimchi fried rice was wet and super tangy4.bulgogi was dryOverall would not recommend unless willing to pay for overpriced food that will only taste good if you intend to be super drunk, and only eating to get food in your system.

Great spot for drinks and good vibes! Came here on a Friday night with a party of 4 and we all had a great time. Because the restaurant was pretty busy, we unfortunately didn't get seated before happy hour ended (RIP to the 50% off flavored soju), but we still ordered 4 large carafes and a few beers to share. We didn't realize it at the time, but this was more than enough for the 4 of us haha.We also ordered stir-fried gizzards, tteokbokki, and bulgogi carne asada fries to share. The portions were pretty large but I was disappointed that the gizzards dish was actually 50% jalapeño. The food was okay but we honestly came for the drinks, not the food. The flavored soju was pretty strong (and definitely crept up on us) and the flavors were delicious! A bit too sweet though.Service was surprisingly fast for how busy the restaurant was. After pressing the service button, someone would come to take our order within 30 seconds. The servers were all very friendly.Would definitely come here again, hopefully in time for happy hour next time!
Be the first to ReplyWith seven signature bowls to choose from, I had absolutely
With seven signature bowls to choose from, I had absolutely no idea what to pick. While thinking of what bowl to select, I heard someone call my name. It was a co-worker friend. I told her that I was trying to decide what to get at Yellow Fever, but was miserably failing. She helped me out big time by telling me about her lunchtime experience: She ordered the bowl, waited 40 minutes for her order, and it didn't even come out right.Uh oh...I almost started making plans to eat back at home, but she immediately replied, "Oh don't worry about it! It was super-crowded when I went during lunch." Seeing that there were very few customers inside, I decided "okay maybe I'll give them a shot." Still...I didn't know what to get.She mentioned that a co-worker ordered the Shanghai and enjoyed it very much. "Alright! #3 it is!" After receiving the recommendation, we parted ways. I sauntered inside to see a few customers waiting in front of the order counter. I had thought they were waiting in line, but it turns out they weren't; the order counter was actually empty. One of the customers told me to get the #1 Seoul.Uh oh again...my co-worker friend recommended the #3 Shanghai! Which do I pick??? That customer did say the #3 was a good pick also, and that I couldn't go wrong with it.The cashier then asked me what base I'd like, and that's when I realized I had completely overlooked the part of the menu where you were supposed to pick your base of rice, rice noodles, or field greens. The cashier did mention I could go half-and-half, which wasn't actually specified on the menu, and so I decided to get the best of both worlds. It was about a 15-minute long wait before my food was presented in a large, handle-less, plain, paper bag (I had ordered to go). I almost thought I had forgotten the sauce, but it turns out they had included it in my bowl. When I opened my bowl, there was the small container of kung pow sauce underneath the lid alongside all the fixings. I poured in the sauce, gave my bowl a little shake (with the lid on, of course), and enjoyed my bowl. The bowl was overall pretty good, but a little salty for my taste buds probably because I used up all the sauce. The pork belly could have been done a little better. It was a little dry for my liking, and one bite actually hurt my molars a little bit. The vegetables themselves were a little sour, but hey, that's what gave it the flavor, right? The bowls aren't actually that big, and I told myself I should have "frinked" my meal with some fries. Oh well, I was pretty satisfied with my bowl even though I should have gotten some additional toppings as well. I overlooked that part of the menu too. D'oh! The things that happen when you get too focused on the signature bowls part...you completely forget about everything else.Overall, I enjoyed my meal enough to give it 5 stars, but enough to recommend to all of Yelp! Next time I go, I'll be sure to go for that customer's suggestion of a #1 Seoul, and I'll frink my meal to boot!

The food here is divine! Their corn cheese is the absolute best!! I've tried two of their larger soups that are meant to split and both have been amazing. Their bulgogi is always very tasty! I like how they incorporate a ringer for the waiter and I feel it makes the ordering process more efficient.
