Avoid this place if you don't want any trouble
Worst, WORST service I've ever had. The food is below average, which doesn't matter that much as we are just pass by and have something to eat. The service is, however, far worse than their food. The waitress is extremely rude and have 0 patients for us. She smashed the menu on the ground and taking our order with a rude attitude. She didn't repeat our orders, and messed with it not surprisingly. We have to pay extra for the spring roll we didn't even mention in our order. The owner(or manager)'s sided with the waitress, and almost forced us to pay for the food. We literally ran out without finishing our food, and it's the worst experience I've had during my trip in Australia. Avoid this place if U don't want any trouble.
Be the first to ReplyAverage food, wish the service was better
I've eaten here before, and quite liked the food; so came here on a hot weekend, looking forward to some good Malaysian food. We would have liked to sit indoors, but all the fans were off, and 'could not be switched on' with no explanation provided why. We opted to sit sit outside, under whatever shade we could find. After a while, a table was cleared, we were seated, and we ordered and paid upfront for some laksas, CKT and beef noodles. We asked for extra chilli - which was an extra cost (but to make a dish extra hot was no extra charge !?) The food was served quickly enough, but was disappointing in taste. I've had better CKT here before. A request for an extra fork was met with a brusque 'I've already give you forks' Given that the food was so-so, and the service was so-bad; we will not be eating here again.

The worst spring rolls we have ever had, obviously cooked from frozen and the insides were like soup with no flavour, came out half way through eating our main meal. Combination laksa was mostly seafood (which i love) but not a single vegetable, pork etc in there, also very salty. Service not friendly. Won't be returning.

Great service, great food, reasonably priced. I had a chicken dish which great and the menu provides a great choice. Can highly recommend it.

First time to Ming`s Pantry. Music was a bit loud. Ordered Char Kway Teow and Curry Chicken Nasi Lemak. Both dishes were good, but the CKT was the star for us. They have both indoor and outdoor sittings.

Basic service (order and pay at counter, help yourself to water) but nice food. Enjoyed two meals here, the Kung Po Chicken and the Char Kuew Teow were both very tasted. Struggle a bit with the single blunt and flattish wooden fork they give you at the table. Surcharge for eftpos. Will be a good place to pick up a meal on the way home to eat in or take away.
Be the first to ReplyNice food but table service was average
I have visited this restaurant several times now and really enjoyed the various dishes on the menu. This visit, I re-ordered the Hainanese Chicken rice dish but unfortunately the Beef dish we was interested in was "sold ou" so we settled for another favourite, the Char Kuey Teow. It is rather frustrating to go for lunch during the week though, as often it is just one lady on the counter. One has to order and pay at the counter, or take the menu yo your table and then come vack to order and pay. This can all be quite time consuming dur to the lunchtime crowd. Good luck trying to wait for another waitress to ask for anything else besides your food, eg extra serviettes etc as you cannot help yourself from the table but must wait to be served by staff. Overall, the food was delicious though and probably worth these little inconveniences
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic Malaysian Food in CBR
I have been going to Ming's Pantry for delicious Malaysian food for a while now and thought I would review it. The food is sooooo good. The char kuay teow, nasi lemak and rendang are authentic and fresh. Malaysian white coffee, hot or cold, is one of the most comforting drinks ever made. I have never had to book for lunch or dinner and always got a table. I wish they were open on Sundays though - I keep forgetting they don't. The service lets them down sometimes, with one person's meal arriving after the first person has finished. Lately the
Be the first to Replydecent food, bad service and rude waiter
Food is decent, though a bit on the greasy side. The waitress/waiters tend to be curt and sometimes rude.
Be the first to ReplyQuite expensive for random quality
Quite expensive for an instant Tek Tarik, I could have make it at home. The staff have no idea about customer service. The food is okay, random quality and definitely expensive.
