Wow! Just wow!
It was our anniversary and we finally got to dine at Miss Mi. The food, service and atmosphere were all perfect! We had been trying to dine here for several months, and it didnโt disappoint. We let chef choose our $75 menu, as there were so many beautiful choices. We started with Korean chicken and zucchini flowers. Then there was a beautiful whole fish cooked in banana leaves, bones removed, and cooked with spices and green beans. Accompanied by an array of vegetables and fried rice, it was so complex, tasty and satisfying. There was a lovely dessert - not sure of the components except fresh berries and crumbled pistachio nuts. So tasty and perfect as a finish. We enjoyed a South Australian Guensverlinger (sp.) which was a lovely match. As it was our anniversary, a tray of chocolates was given to us as a treat. Couldnโt have been better. Service was attentive, informed and helpful. And the chef is accessible and charming. Couldnโt have been a better lunch!
Be the first to ReplyHotel stay for BBL cricket at Marvel Stadium
The restaurant and bar for the Movenpick Hotel on Spencer Street. Offers bar snacks during the day and Restaurant meals at night. I only stayed for a few drinks before going across the road for the cricket match. The price as you would expect for a Lobby bar is a little on the expensive side. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Be the first to ReplyInteresting Asian Concept
This restaurant offers a range of different asian tastes and can be approached as a share plate experience. The service was a bit variable but the staff were very pleasant and helpful. A little wider choice and some guidance on selection would improve the meal. The restaurant is in the ground floor of the new Movenpick Hotel and the dรฉcor reflects a modern hotel rather than the atmosphere of an Asian restaurant.

Had dinner on 29/11. Ordered the king prawn. 2 miserable and tiny grilled prawns with a wedge of lemon and.a tbsp of some mash. $33. I was so hungry and disappointed. My friends had to give me some of their dinner. A few more prawns or at least a side of salad would have been ok. Definitely not returning! Ridiculous!
Be the first to ReplySmall selection but delicious.
We really enjoyed the food at Miss Mi. We had the Dumplings which were wonderful, crispy pork belly, wok fried vegetables and rice. It was all flavoursome and fresh and beautifully presented. We're looking forward to dining there again soon.

Amazing food with flavour off the charts! Attentive staff great wine list and beer list better than the blah offered by most pretentious restaurants.
Be the first to ReplyModern resto with good food
Beautiful food well cooked with tasty sauces. Pleasant environment and service is prompt with a smile. Bar area is separate and a good coffee is also available. Not our first time here and definitely not our last.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Pandam Pudding
The food here is delicious. I had the king fish which had a delightful citrus flavour. The huge success is the Pandam pudding. It is just perfect and reminds me of these flavours in Thailand. For 5 stars, more comfortable seating would help.

This is a delightful restaurant with great food and first class service. What impressed me most was the friendly and helpful staff. The menu is restricted but has some gems. Everything was delicious and the chef considerately put the extra spice on the side - that served the different tastes of my wife and I. Thereโs also a good wine list.

What can I say? Enjoyed the set menu dinner to celebrate my birthday with my partner. From the get go you could tell that we were in for a treat! Service was extremely professional but warm, a sign of the exceptional things to come. The restaurant itself is styled impeccably and very atmospheric; a moody interpretation of mid-century modernist design. The courses were brilliantly portioned and came out in perfect time - ultimately the menu took us on a culinary trip around south-east Asia that was utterly splendid. Perfectly balanced flavours greeted us at every corner setting the taste buds alight. On top of this, the cocktails we enjoyed were interesting, well crafted and well paired to the meal. Ultimately we enjoyed a glorious meal that left us more than satiated and craving more. A credit to the team at Miss Mi and Movenpick. We will be back!

Just had dinner at Miss Mi. What can I say apart from exceptional! The food was superb, with every dish a highlight. The peanuts as a starter are to die for and everything is perfect from then on. The slow cook beef is AMAZING. Every dish is cooked with care and has a refined elegance and is full of flavour.
Simply delicious.
Fabulous dining
Excellent value dining. We were very pleased with our meal at Miss Mi. It is a very interesting Asian menu, different to your typical hotel restaurant. It is only a small selection but covers all the bases.
We started with the prawn toast. It comes with an umami bomb sea urchin emulsion. A great way to start the meal. Next we had the sensationally good blue fin tuna with finger lime and a coconut cream type of sauce. Delightful. We followed that with the waygu beef rib sans bone served with a great pineapple rojak sauce. Beef not overly tender but full on flavour. We had a side of fabulous rice and a leafy dish called farm leaves with a tamarind palm dressing. Simple but enjoyable. We finished with the dessert special a tropical fruit salad and the Seri Muka
Roasted rice ice-cream ,pandan, butterfly pea stick rice. The first a tropical delight, on the sweet side but very moorish. The seri muka though was a fabulous dessert. Great way to end a top meal. The wine list is typical Melbourne prices but the James squire mid strength a 7$ is a steal. Professional and personable service. Nice setting. We will return.
Can't wait to visit again!
What an absolute delight it was to eat at Miss Mi during our weekend in Melbourne last weekend. We got in quite late on friday, but luckily they were still open. Everything we ate was delicious, but a special mention to the lamb rib special, tuna and wagyu beef. Even the rice was fragrant and almost a dish of its own. Oh and dont forget your asain greens!
It was so good, that we also tried their breakfast, which didn't disappoint. My fiance had the blue swimmer crab scrambled eggs and i had nasi goreng. Both were finished, and plates scraped clean. The staff were fantastic and chatted without being in your face all the time.
Hot tip: The cocktails were unique and delicious.
