The service was excellent very attentive , the food was good , the Ambiance was lovely great redecoration. Completely different vibe then before much better. The robata wings were so good, the tempura lobster was a slight disappointment it was to chewy and lacked flavor.

Wow! Mizumi completely shut down for about 9 months to do a major rebuild of what was originally a beautiful restaurant. After 18 years it was time and the new setting is outstanding. The restaurant flow is much improved and the new interior is warm, pleasant, and inviting. Like All restaurants at the Wynn the attention to detail is spectacular -- you'd think Steve Wynn was still walking the floor as his element of perfection still prevails.-- and that is a good thing. Besides a new redo there is a new Chef at Mizumi. Enough written about Chef Ramsey, his history and skills. Based on our dinner I'd say this is going to work. Some thoughts: the original had the bar on the right side upon entering. It was awkward and a bit uncomfortable standing while enjoying great cocktails - limited bar chairs. The new redo reversed the bar and the Sushi station. Great right? Not so fast-- since reservations are a must a lot of people come in without reserves and can't get a table so they are now offered Bar seats and menu. Our foursome couldn't get a drink as everyone was eating. Boo- beautiful Bar but now not a bar- just extended food service. Just a Njt but still a Nit. No chair or bar lounge area. A mistake I think. The new table seating areas are top notch. Probably the most comfortable chairs I've sat in. Padded perfectly. A modern feel. Beautiful table spacing. The Menu: still pretty much the same menu with all the favorites of the previous Chef. He was a detail fanatic importing fresh items from Japan - so we were happy with everything even though we'd had the items previously. Our waiter was excellent. His name was Woo and he was Wow. Made the whole evening flow wonderfully. Explained what is a rather difficult menu to maneuver. Lots of different sections that don't always flow in succession. He helped cut through the process so it made more sense. We had numerous dishes, lots of warm Saki, and left satisfied but not stuffed or feeling bloated from salt overdose. Flavors and quality A1. Woo told us chef was working toward a newer menu with more creative style, tasting menu options etc. that sounded enticing. Regardless. We'll be back.

I recognize that there's been some "news" recently about Mizumi at Wynn and I wanted to share my experience dining there this week during my Encore stay. First, the reservation app that they use showed no availability on Wednesday. I showed up at the door at 5:30 (opening time) and asked to dine at the bar. No problem! Was seated immediately and was pleased to see Edgar behind the bar. I've been lucky to have him working the bar numerous times when dining and really appreciate his unobtrusive service and his advice! Sadly, I didn't see his colleagues name, as she was also very attentive. I do know she also works at Lakeside. I will say that my untrained eye found the crew overall to be super-efficient, attentive, professional and friendly. I did not sense any gaps in service as I watched what was going on in the room. And the room! What a change! I really enjoyed the more muted tones versus the red theme previously. The sushi bar and bar basically switched places. Smaller bar, more room at the sushi bar. The masters behind the sushi bar continue to produce excellent delights! I had the seared 'aburi' salmon and yellowtail sushi, both fabulous! Tuna tartare chirashi, where you make your own little nori rolls. Finished with a special Tuna roll that had all the best bits of the fatty tuna. Chef demanded no soy sauce! Edgar presented several great sakes to accompany the food and all were top notch (sadly can't recall any specifics!) All in all, seems the new chef has things humming here and I can't wait to come back! SteveO.

The interior pallette was a wonderful hue of gold and warm wood. Incredibly welcoming. Ambiance was perfect. Chef Min is gone -- and the new chef will be putting his mark on the menu soon. Jeff Ramsey. The only Japanese American born chef titled "Sushi Master." Looking forward to returning next year. At the sushi bar, Chef Kendo-San was wonderful. As was our server, Woo. Very informative and diplomatic. Scallops, octopus, uni, ikura -- all fresh and incredibly delicious as sushi. Rolls were creative and tasty. Beer was refreshing and sister had the Pinot. Shiitake with Truffles, very (too?) buttery. And I usually like le truffe. Aburi was excellent. Really. The carpaccio was outstanding. Elders really enjoyed the udon, esp the noodles, and the flavor-rich broth. The tempura was so good they ordered another plate of it. Best meal of the weekend.
Be the first to ReplyThe experience was just amazing.
The entire team from Kei, to Simon as managers, Raymond for the wine and sake and then Jessica, Anthony and Eddie at the table were stellar. The food was off the charts great and the whole experience for our anniversary was magical. We brought a group, the restaurant team was awesome. However, we initially wanted the private room, and the process with the events team is just really unpleasant and gives off the wrong vibe. But just avoid that and always deal with the restaurant team and you will have an amazing time!

We have dined at Mizumi several times over the past few years and it is a must go for us whenever we are in Vegas. The ambiance, service and food are always excellent and we've never had a bad experience. My wife has several food allergies and they always take the utmost care in ensuring that her needs are met while still enjoying a particular dish. The restaurant recently underwent a renovation and change of executive chef. We love the new look of the restaurant and they kept the waterfall seating area, which is our favorite. We've also sat at one of the sushi bars, which is a great experience too as you can interact with the chefs preparing your food. On our last visit we had the opportunity to meet the new executive chef Jeff Okada Ramsey. He was very welcoming and took time out of his busy evening to speak with us. Also, one of our favorite restaurant managers in all of Vegas works there. She has been able to fit us in at the last minute and is always pleasure to talk to and spend time with. Some of our favorite dishes are the Yellowtail Carpaccio, Bluefin Tuna Tataki and Inaniwa Udon Noodles. For dessert, we love the Yuzu Souffle as well as the new Warm Chocolate Fondant. Who would have though Matcha ice cream tastes so good!! They also have a large selection of Japanese beer, sake, and whisky. If you're in Vegas and looking for an upscale Japanese restaurant, Mizumi will not disappoint!!

Used to love this place however glass in my wagyu dumplings just unacceptable . They were nice about it however can't let it go when you have two separate dumplings with glass in it . They didn't offer to bring a new plate despite this . Overall would love to have had a better time however this was over the top

First time back since they renovated and it was worth the wait. This room is gorgeous, I love the more neutral tones versus the bold red that was everywhere before. This was also the first time sitting in the main dining room, normally we've eaten in the teppanyaki room and it was interesting to try the menu. Everything we tried was pretty special although I have to say anything we had a question on we were told "whatever the menu says is in it..is in it" by our server who was lovely but I was taken aback at that response.

Great service. Amazing and very vibey secluded outdoor patio area.
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite places for Japanese in Las Vegas.
Their dishes are like beautifil pieces of art which are a delight to your eyes and the the flavors are an explosion of deliciousness in your tastebuds.

Located inside the Wynn is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Las Vegas. The ambiance here is amazing. The restaurant is beautiful, very inviting, and the views of the waterfall are amazing. Sitting by the window is magical. The food is delicious and everything is presented in a pretty way. You can taste the freshness of the fish and the high quality of the ingredients. They have many other dishes to chose from other than sushi. Keep in mind it's a fine dining experience and it will cost you $$$$ to eat here but it's worth every penny and we all deserve to indulge once in a while. Reservations are a must, specially on the weekends. Once you book your Vegas trip make sure to make reservations right away if you are planning to try Mizumi ....We always have a great time here.

Beautiful venue, bold red color design and a magical Japanese garden lake with waterfalls...Delicious modern Japanese dishes, very thoughtful and attentive services. I made reservation with a birthday celebration note, and was seated at the best table with a 'Happy Birthday' card waiting at the table... Highly recommended.

Mizumi has traditionally kept some fine ingredients on their menu as such Japanese beef and Japanese sea urchin being my favorites here. Braised beef yakitori to die for had two for myself. Sushi excellent quality. You know you will find the standard sushi and some off menu items which I recommend because really you can get tuna belly at any high end Japanese restaurant. The view of water fall was pretty to admire from inside along the table adjacent window. Can't imagine if we're outside on patio would be less disappointing haha Great staff and authentic to understanding the cuisine no short cuts on hiring best staff.

mizumis best feature is its high class atmosphere and gorgeous decor. sitting by the water fall feels like and ultra luxury experience, so romantic, peaceful and memorable. ive been here twice and each time was a pleasure.the staff is dedicated to creating a fine dining experience from the way they interact with patrons and their knowledge of the menu to the delicate way they place the food infront of you. i truly appreciate the extra effort the staff puts into making sure you enjoy you feel respected and taken care of.the food is good and im sure most people are over joyed with it but as a critic and self proclaimed connoisseur of asian cuisine i dont think it lived up to the hype! its beautiful, well plated, smaller portions are to be expected, but i think i could get a dish with more satisfying flavors at a restaurant with an average price point. the ingredients do taste very fresh and the menu seems well curated. when you come to mizumi, youre paying a considerable amount for the experience which they definitely deliver. but if the food doesnt "wow" me im not sure i can say its completely worth it! do i think you should try it out if youre curious? yes absolutely. will i be back? most likely. will the expert chefs care about my opinion of the food im sure theyre quite proud of? no probably not. i just wish i could have left a raving review of the food since i enjoyed the restaurant itself very much. ill have to try their omakase and update my review.

Mizumi restaurant in Wynn casino, Las Vegas, offered a hibachi dinner experience that was unfortunately mediocre. While the service was good, the price was too high for the quality of food served. The atmosphere was also odd, which detracted from the overall dining experience. I was not able to make a reservation online, it showed unavailable for the date and time we wanted. I then called the restaurant, and they accommodated my request. When we arrived for dinner, we were expecting a big crowd but instead there were just a few people there. However, it was disappointing to find ourselves alone at the big hibachi table during dinner. Overall, there are better options for a memorable dining experience in Vegas.

The food was incredible, ambiance was somewhere between sexy and fine dining, and the view of the waterfall anywhere in the restaurant is beautiful. Unfortunately like most people said we did leave hungry even after spending about $150 per person (with 2 cocktails). I would say anticipate spending $200 or more per person to truly have a culinary journey and feel full. For that reason and the fact that the waiters recommendations were only* items that were "MP" or the most expensive item of the list, i'd say it's certainly above average but not really something i'd say is to die for.

53 on this evening. Expect to spend a lot, but have a beautiful, special evening. This was one of my top two favorite places I dined at on this trip. It was the perfect date night. Everything we ate was delicious. I had the best cocktail I had all trip - a lychee based beverage that was light and refreshing. Opted for the teppenyaki room which was so much fun; we had a beautiful view of the waterfall and had a crazy good meal. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable. I'm a sucker for an experiential dinner and this was definitely that. Fun experience/show, beautiful setting, delicious food, wonderful staff. We will be back for sure!

My husband and I had our Valentine's Day dinner here and we had a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful and the indoor waterfall is a unique touch. We ordered several items. We tried several of the nigiri/sashimi, spicy tuna crispy rice, the A5 wagyu on a hot stone, the A5 sukiyaki, and a couple of their desserts. Everything was amazing and divine! The sashimi was fresh! We were worried with the mixed reviews but we're glad we went. If you're willing to splurge and get the good items on the menu then you'll have a good experience. Service was great. It was definitely one of the more expensive dinners we've had but your paying for quality + the upscale ambience. It's a nice place for a special occasion dinner.

The eel was to die for. And they gave us a complimentary anniversary dessert. Loved the service. Thank you!
Be the first to ReplyI can count on the Wynn to have the finest foods in Vegas.
The only time I've ever been disappointed is with their buffet, which is very strange because their other restaurants are fantastic. Mizumi is no exception. This was a team dinner and it was definitely expensive so if you're going, it's definitely for a special reason. Our being there was special enough that we saw Lori Grenier (from Shark Tank) there dining (I recognized the hairstyle and voice, def her). ย Wish I was able to get a pic of her but oh well.We started off with drinks and I went with the Kintsugi Old Fashioned. I'm not a big old-fashioned guy, but this drink was amazing. We then ordered, well, a lot of food. You can see some of the stuff in the pics and I forgot the Alpine Salmon and just a whole ton of other stuff. We had to wait about 15 minutes after arriving because we ended up having a couple more people so they had to rearrange the table, but we got a nice waterfall seat, so A+ on the view. I'll just say this about the food: nothing was bad. Even the wagyu dumplings, which I thought is a waste because the wagyu was ground and I thought would lose its magic, was fantastic. The wagyu fried rice I thought was interesting. It was delicious and when it arrived, the egg was soft cooked. The server began to stir the rice and egg together tableside and it was fantastic.Mizumi is one of few places that serve authentic Kobe beef. At the price of $75 per oz, that is probably about the right price you would pay in the US for Kobe. They had other Wagyu from other areas of Japan (Hokkaido, Kagoshima) but if you really want Kobe, come to Mizumi. One thing to keep in mind, portions are fairly small here. I recommend taking a bite and savoring the food. Enjoy the food for what it is. I actually ended up having to leave early, so I missed out on other options that the rest of the group ended up having (I had a client dinner to attend, so basically I had a second dinner that night). If the stars line up, I will be back.
Be the first to ReplyWoo at Mizumi was an outstanding server.
Really went out of their way to accommodate us during our dinner. I can't say enough good things about my dinner at Mizumi. Everything was super delicious from the appetizers, to the sushi rolls, and even the cocktails.

The food did not disappoint and the staff was amazing. We had a mixup with our cab driver and the staff at the front were so understanding and accommodating with our late arrival. Angela, our server, was knowledgeable about the menu, friendly and made the entire dining experience a little more special.
