Excellent meal and service
Fantastic meal at Molly's Yard last night. The food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend.

Staff most friendliest and helpful people, couldn’t do enough for us. Food was delicious, warm cosy atmosphere and great values for money. Definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat evening, great food
Lovely little restaurant with indoor & outdoor seating. Weather was pants so we sat inside. Staff were extremely pleasant & helpful. The food was insanely good and very appropriately priced. The cottage pie with lamb shank was an absolute winner! All told a beautiful evening - great company, great food. Nice wine too 😉
Be the first to ReplySo disappointed by everything so sad as I so wanted to love it
I had been wanting to go here for such a long time but was very very disappointed. Good points, staff friendly and welcoming. Let downs how run down the downstairs indoor space was. It was so uncomfortable we both regretted even sitting down. Considering they had a regular Menu and a special Valentine day special we both struggled to find something we would eat and ended up choosing the same Whiskey buger which was not what I had intended. The bugger itself was nice but the bill was not work the £65.00. This included 1 drink and 2 deserts. My advice is go somewhere else more comfortable, more food options and a place you would want to spend time in not rush to leave .

Our first, but certainly not our last, visit to Molly’s Yard. From the moment we walked in and greeted by Emma- the smiling, attentive front of house- we were delighted to have made the reservation here. Emma immediately made us feel welcome, knew how to make the kids mock-tails and was fully knowledgeable on both the food and drinks menus. All four of us ordered different meals, venison pie, chicken supreme, pork loin and goats cheese; all of these were exceptional. From presentation to taste, they were spot on. The girls finished their meal with a brownie which they devoured The restaurant was small and could seat 12 in total however, it was massive in regards to what it provided. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will be back when we return to Belfast!

Had a lovely experience. My steak was cooked to perfection. The Mrs had a great seafood chowder and the staff were lovely. Even though we had arrived early nothing was a bother. We will definitely be back soon.

2nd visit to this restaurant having been before and really enjoyed it. We'd looked at the menus on their website and were happy with the lamb dish on offer and the vegetarian choice on offer so we booked. The reality when we got there however, was completely underwhelming. The menu we were given was completely different from the one on their website. There's now no lamb but there's a confit duck leg so I had that and it was excellent. For my partner the vegetarian choice now on offer is just not to her liking and contains several elements that she just doesn't like and would never order. I have to ask for some changes to the dish and this seems to lead to almost a confrontation with the chef asking what sauce she would now like because the dish now needs a sauce as she has removed the pepperonata. The whole encounter just took away all of the pleasure for us and it has to be said that it was them who caused the problem, not us. If we'd known what was actually on offer we wouldn't have booked in the 1st place and the problem can easily be solved by making sure that the website is up to date. Simple as that!

Great little restaurant close to QUB, serving wonderfully fresh and tasty food and a good selection of wines. The food was modern with kind of an Irish twist, the staff very friendly.
Be the first to ReplyNice little pub
Very friendly little pub with a limited menu but food was good. Waitress was prompt and service was good. Would recommend for a casual meal.

Such yummy food- well prepared and presented! An unassuming exterior- we booked ahead on a recommendation from someone. The staff are lovely- attentive and friendly. Very reasonably priced for really delicious food

We really enjoyed our dinner at Molly’s Yard - fresh food, nicely cooked from natural and well sourced ingredients. We will certainly return.

Second visit to this little gem - great food, friendly & efficient service and excellent value for money. Highly recommended, will definitely return

Lovely ambience and friendly staff . The food seemed a bit overpriced and the chicken special was over cooked . I’m not sure I would be in a rush to go back

I visited as a solo diner and was warmly welcomed by Marty. He recommended a fabulous wine and we had a wonderful conversation about music. He even tailored the restaurant's playlist according to my taste! I ordered the scallop starter - they were the best, and largest I've ever tasted. My main course was sea bass - again, delicious, served with buttered potatoes and extra green vegetables. I could have eaten everything on the dessert menu but chose the rice pudding with poached fruit - it was gorgeous. What a fabulous place Molly's Yard is - delicious food and the marvellous Marty with his excellent taste in music and wine. What more could you want? Thank you so much - I can't wait to return!

Excellent restaurant, very friendly welcome. We ate there for our wedding birthday (38 years) on 14 December 2022. Excellent food, hearty and refined. A little attention, we were welcomed with prosecco. We will return the next time we stay at Tara Lodge.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food but we were freezing!
Could not fault food or service, everything was great. What spoilt our evening is we were freezing were we sat. Door at back of us and door to the side of us, both opening and closing all night. Got to the point were I was shivering and had to put on my coat and scarf. Think i will not be able to visit in winter as our evening was ruined because we were so cold and could not be moved. Such a shame as food was lovely. Think you will have to address this issue of where this table is positioned, as we could not warm up all evening!

We had a perfect meal, and my hake with curried veloute, mussels, potatoes, and a bit of veg was absolutely delicious. I had a taste of my friend's hallloumi salad, and that was extraordinary, too. I'll definitely look to return here on future visits to Belfast.
Be the first to ReplySeafood Chowder?
On a recent visit we had the misfortune to choose seafood chowder from the lunch time menu , there was not even a suspicion of fish in the bowl as far as we coulld ascertain, just a heap of diced potato and something that looked like carrot. The rather dismal little dining area did nothing to help either. There was one redeeming feature in that the staff , the two servers, were very pleasant and welcoming.
Be the first to ReplyEnjoyed a meal at Molly's Yard
The food was incredible. I had seen reviews and had to have a look and try the food. I had one of the starters: Truffled garlic mushrooms, fadge, crispy ham, rocket and parmesan. OMG!! I could have enjoyed that dish over again and again. Main was Braised lamb shoulder and then dessert. They even had my favorite French dessert wine by the glass: Sauternes. Staff were really great.. very friendly and accommodating. I can honestly say that dining at Molly's Yard was one of the most memorable dining experiences of my 62 years. If you are in the area, you have to visit them.

Went in a Saturday night Not too busy Very sweet service and ok food What was a bit off putting was the speed of the service. There was no pause between courses and food arrived after ordering at breakneck speed. You had to wonder whether food was pre prepared and then zapped! Maybe just a very efficient kitchen

A hidden gem! Really warm and welcoming staff, the service was fantastic. I have allergies and I wasnt made to feel this was a problem at all, they were very accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious, lovely presentation and great flavours. Great choice on the menu too and a full vegetarian/vegan menu provided also. Would highly recommend as a must visit in Belfast!

Be the first to ReplyBotanics hidden gem
Where to start is literally the hardest part as I have so much to say about this beautiful hidden gem right at the heart of Botanic.
Visited on Saturday and was warmly greeted by Marty who seated us in the downstairs area, 1 of 3 areas that the restaurant has to offer. The menu was explained and was fantastic to see a range of local soured produce on offer.
We settled for the pan fried Scallops, which still to today my mouth waters when I think back to them lol. Ribeye steak was to follow and by God was that beef was unbelievable, cooked to perfection. Finished off with homemade chocolate brownie that was packed with all the goodness that a chocoholic could handle lol....
There is a wide range of local craft beers and ales along with spirits, wines etc.
In all I would HIGHLY recommend a visit, there's no way you will be disappointed, the food and service is exceptional 👌
