5 star quality restaurant
My first Momofuku experience. Was really excited to try the ramen here. Firstly we ordered a good selection of appetizers to share. Cucumber salad, tuna crudo, shrimp bao, deep fried chicken wings. Everything was amazing and the chicken wings are really large. We wished that we can order more varieties to share but there was only 4 of us. The serving staff at our table was really helpful to inform us if the dishes ordered was enough or too much. Then of course we had ramen and spicy dry noodles - loved it. . Reservations is required as the restaurant is always busy. 5 stars for the food and service.

Really good Shrimp buns and ramen. Highly recommend when in New York. Service was great as well. We split the ramen into two and it was still more than enough for us.

The food was just not amazing. I don't get why people think this place is such a big deal. Definitely hyped up

Had a wonderful lunch here recently. Mushroom ramen was amazing, and we split it. Easily enough for two. The shrimp buns went fast and we took a second order home. Same with the pork buns - all very very yummy. I wish we lived closer Amazing food!

After being a fan of Ugly Delicious we thought we’d give this place a try on our recent visit. We had 2 bao buns each, a ramen and a middle dish… nothing spectacular found it bang average all in all, was expecting a lot more. Service was great however and portions decently sized. Wouldn’t return however as many other ramen joints in NY rated better. Atmosphere was okay although it did seem a bit rushed at times.

Great visit. Excellent service, busy place, and tasty food. Pork and mushroom buns were amazing. Noodles and ramen where healthy portions and full of flavour. Would definitely go back. Family of five looked after very well.

Amazing ramen and Asian dishes. Huge servings and creative cocktails. Was good for a snowy day. Waitress didn’t have much personality and you needed a vaccine card to get in.

quick dinner at Time Warner.
Pluses: spicy cucumbers were superb. Buns with shiitake we’re very good. Pork ramen bowl was excellent.
Minuses: food came way before our cocktails and wine were delivered. Felt rushed..a lot. Spicy cold noodles weren’t spicy at all.
Next time? Have drinks delivered before you order the food!
David Chang Fan
As a David Chang fan we were excited to try his Asian fusion take on New York affordable noodles in Columbia Circle. While David is Korean his cooking is influenced by his training at the Cordon Bleu and his mom’s kitchen. You can’t help but want to give him a hug with his affectionate smile and robust laugh. Personality aside, the menu he offers genuinely reflects his passion for food and curiosity in culinary culture.
Ok…on with the review of what we ate. We had the ramen, rooster rice, broccolini and the shishito peppers of which the latter never came. The dishes arrived as the kitchen finished them (typical to Asian service) and were served family style. The portions may seem small for robust appetites but were sufficient for us. The flavors were full of character. the chicken was crispy. and the ramen and egg cooked to that nice sweet spot of al dente. Loved everything.
As a bar, the music was loud and energetic, perhaps to keep customers moving through quickly.
The marquee above the bar changed every 15-20 seconds and advertised various menu items. Our server was friendly and professional. The tables had plexiglass partitions and all the servers were masked.

Very disappointing for a vegetarian
Visited Momofuku for lunch and ordered a caramelised mushroom bin which was cooked in front of me on a girdle with pork right next to it and everything tossed with the same ladles. Very disappointed. When I specifically mentioned that I was vegetarian, the dishes will could order. And this if what I saw in front of my eyes.

We enjoyed everything about our visit. The food and service were both outstanding. I was most surprised by the spicy cucumbers. Yum! Everyone loved the ramen. I don’t like fish or mushrooms so choices were limited, but I ate the spicy chicken and pork buns.

Fix your web page. In one place in big print it says open every day for lunch, but in another f as pot, in tiny print it says only Friday and weekends.
Be the first to ReplyRamen Yumm!
What a quintessential spot in East Village. The decor is very earthy with bamboo/wood walls n Modern furniture. They have adequate vegetarian choices. We had ordered shiitake buns and mushroom ramen. The buns were something I’ve never ever had. Well balanced taste with extremely spongy bun. Within the ramen, noodles first felt bit raw. But once you have it with rest of veggies and the amazingly creamy broth then your realize the texture of noodle is perfect. Very Very nice filling meal!
Be the first to ReplyUnique Asian flavors
We visited this restaurant with family and close friends. They take reservations over a app. Reservations are highly recommend due to long wait times. This is a tiny restaurant with limited seating. The host was very courteous. We started with drinks soju lychee which was well flavored. We shared some small plates cucumber salad, wings, chicken nuggets..all the dishes came with with a unique twist. The highlight was the chicken bun with a delicious sauce. We had garlic ramen as well as cold noodles, definitely filling and umami flavor. We enjoyed the prompt service, the care for disinfecting around us and caution of wearing masks when serving us. It was an enjoyable lunch experience.
