We went to an event on May 6, 2021, to hear Le Jazz Hot. The advertisement for the event stated that the $20 bar seats provided the best access to music in the room. That was incorrect and very misleading. The sound at the bar was terrible - we could barely the band. I complained to our waiter and one of the employees tried to improve the mix – but to no avail from our position. The speakers nearest us did not appear to be working. The $10 seats nearer the bandstand far better.
My friend’s braised beef arrived an hour after my food was served. I politely waited for his food to come out and ended up eating my food cold after we were told that his food was coming soon (wrong orders arrived in the interim and had to be sent back). My dumplings were very greasy and almost inedible - and my friend complained that his beef dish was very fatty.
While my friend waited an hour for food, they brought 2-3 incorrect dishes to us and ended up making mistakes on the final charges which I had to point out and correct the next day.
Ironically the sound in the bathroom was very good – loud and clear – but that was not where we paid to be seated.
I noted these points to the manager, Jay Bordeleau, and he wrote back a very nasty response and banned me from coming back to his club since my guest wrote a review "insulting the music talent" which was totally incorrect and false. (My guest writes a review and I get banned???).
It is very disappointing that management is so callous to those of us that wish to support live music.
Spend your money and time elsewhere.
