We ate at many wonderful restaurants in Asheville on our recent vacation in Sept 2025. This was our favorite. It was innovative. It was complex. It was superior. We experienced the Pork Lumria, the Tuna Crudo, and the Duck Adobo. We will retur
Inventive And Delicious
Creative, inventive, mindful, delicious. Every dish is thought out with perfectly balanced combinations of taste. We sat at the bar, which should really be called the chefs table. Special craft cocktails were first. Small plates to share are the
Incredible
Absolutely fantastic. So good my partner and I went back again a few weeks later. VERY grateful Asheville has a restaurant creating such incredible food. Definitely a new favorite of mine in town.
I was there tonight.
My homemade pasta with lemon sauce was very rich and tasty. It had 6 shrimp. The menu was limited. The restaurant is very small. There are 4 tables and 8 seats at the bar. There is plenty of help. There is a large bar selection. Try it.
Wow! Neng Jr.
is amazing. We visited for my birthday celebration and sat at the bar. The service was outstanding. The bartender described the dishes on the menu and I immediately wanted one of everything. My husband and I ordered a few dishes to share: August frui
Restaurant people are the hardest to win over
My partner and I are FOH restaurant people. We’re not hard to please but we are into spending our money on experiences that feel worthwhile. Neng Jr’s is some of the best dining we’ve ever enjoyed. We had the charred eggplant (not a bite left),
Food wasn't great for the price.
Small intimate place which was great. Wait staff was nice.
I really, really enjoyed the food here.
Reservations are released at 10am on Wednesdays for the following week and are highly encouraged. I snagged a spot for Wednesday at 5:15pm for the bar. If you cancel your reservation late, you will be charged $30 per person (you can reserve up to max

Restaurant is fine, but it's extremely overpriced for what it is. June Fruit ($15): Tasted decent, and I enjoyed the unique take on blending spicy sauce with fruit. However, this is a lot to pay for a few slices of fruit. The fruit itself was p
Must contextualize the four star review.
... For a 'regular' moderately priced restaurant looking to serve quality, pretty, satisfying food, it would be 5 stars However, clearly they're looking to proverbially knock it out of the park, and the price is comparably high fo
over priced ! period .
not that exceptional . Lot of hype and excitement . But just didn't get it . And like I said way over priced . there are so many better resta in Asheville

I was so excited to try this spot after such a glowing review from our hotel concierge. In short I left bummed. The service was amazing, and atmosphere cool. I loved all of that but I just didn't think the food was that amazing. The noodles with

My husband and I agreed that this was our favorite dinner by far in Asheville. We have done quite a bit of dining out throughout the years and this food was unlike anything we've ever tasted. Ex: the fruit platter with the spicy/salty sauce was
Not up to hype
Hype is often hard to live up to and this is one of those cases. The salad was delicious, creative. The tuna among best ever. But the chicken adobo which we really had looked forward to was bland, room temperature, and poorly plated. I also found

We were warmly greeted at the door and promptly seated in this intimate, funky West Asheville award winning restaurant. The waitress reviewed the menu and suggested that we share the dishes. We ordered the oysters, winter fruit, tuna, , and striped
Excellent and Unique Dining Experience
Everything and more than I hoped it would be with selection and experience. My friend and I were able to get a variety and taste share.
Hidden Gem
The most amazing experience! Delicious and unusual menu items. Menu changes daily. Difficult to get reservations but well worth the effort.
Hidden Gem | Food Passion Appreciated | Great Food and Service
This is a hidden gem, literally. You go in thru a back door from an alley and this felt mysterious and fun. Then you go upstairs to an intimate space that seats about 20 people. We shared three plates: January fruit that included a delightful spicy/s
Delicious
Awesome experience! The food was incredible. Would recommend sitting at the bar, as you see the amazing chefs at work. The duck adobo and pork fried rice were a big hit. Can’t wait to go back.
Rotten to the Core
Wow. What a huge disappointment! We were so looking forward to a great meal. So part of a dining experience is the food, the other items are environment and wait staff. Let me start by saying the table we ate at was front and center, this is a sm

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Neng Jr.'s Asheville at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Neng Jr.'s Asheville page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* MaternalRecord73, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* MaternalRecord73 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to MaternalRecord73 for any questions Peter may have as MaternalRecord73 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* MaternalRecord73 now uses their connections at Neng Jr.'s Asheville to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If MaternalRecord73 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, MaternalRecord73 receives the $200 reward which is credited to MaternalRecord73's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Neng Jr.'s Asheville!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
