I go to Miami every Christmas for 20 years, always trying
I go to Miami every Christmas for 20 years, always trying new hotels. THIS IS THE WORST, ANYWHERE, not just Miami. I go fishing with buddies and we have stayed in places where we slept in our clothes. When you book online they don't tell you they are going to be doing construction, nor do they adjust the bill. ( To be fair, it is indicated it on the papers when you sign in, if you bother to read them in detail and inquire, though what are you going to do then). As it is on the form that means they knew and printed up special forms for the construction , but don't mention it to you when you sign in.The worst thing is they lie about what is going on. Very cold that year. turned the thermostat up ( it went up to 90 degrees). no heat. I go to complain . they say it is because it is an old building!!!! They say the hot water ( boilers) are not connected to the heat. Never heard of such a thing. Again, never mentioned and they did not adjust bill.It also means they employ stupid people or the tell them to lie, as these were the responses from the desk personnelThe gym is not very good, not much equipment. If there was a steam bath or sauna ,I didn't see it, but would have been happy to use it, if only to warm up.Also there is no valet, the parking across the street is pricey for parking your own, and you have to cross a major road to get there. If you are an employer and you see this on an applicant's resume, know they are not honest and smart. If you a traveler, try sleeping on the beach or in a skid row hotel.I give it one star as it wouldn't allow zero.
Be the first to ReplyDirty, elevators don't work, pool closed, room very old.
Parking lot is across a busy street with no easy access to hotel.
Be the first to ReplyMe and my fiancรฉ extended our stay in the Miami Fort
Me and my fiancรฉ extended our stay in the Miami Fort Lauderdale area and we had seen this hotel before when we visited sunny isles but didn't have a chance to stay. So this time since we decided last minute to extend our vacation we gave this place a try and boy was I disappointed. We arrive to check in and the front desk attendant was pleasant and gave us our room. When we went up to the room it was old, outdated, and looking over the current construction site they current have going on. We were hungry so we looked for food options there is a bar downstairs in the lobby area that had very limit menu and the clientele didn't seem to be the friendliest. We got disgusting food and went back to the room. The next morning we goto checkout and get a receipt. Another guest decides to cut the entire line even though it's clearly marked off where the line starts. So I say something to the guess. When I finally get up to the counter the front desk attendant starts being combative with me so I ask for a manager. I will say the manager did a great job but the front desk attendant was still looking for an issue I thought it was extremely unprofessional and for the cheap price not worth it in my eyes.
Be the first to ReplyI'll keep it short.
Waited over 20 minutes to check in, had to initial a million waivers #plottwist no pool, no tiki bar, no playground, restaurant not open until Wednesday. And for all that, which is not clear on the website, $28/day resort fee. Seriously? Loud construction right below our room, 8 to 4 daily. Common areas on the upper floors dirty, dated. Upon checking out, was asked how my stay was to which I replied not what I expected. Not one word, or question, in response. Hospitality 101 in the days of social media....ask, listen, make it right. The cherry on top is that they send out a survey. You didn't care when I was there, why now? And not for nothing, yet they might want to update to not ask about the amenities that are shut down. #epicfail #youhadonejob

Dee Dee at the front desk is the best! But the hotel sucks. My room AC didn't work. Still waiting for someone to come fix it. I had to go to the gas station across the street for a tooth brush! Desk said they ran out. Aveda spa was filthy. Your better off elsewhere.

I got sent here after missing my connecting flight back home (plane delay in Colombia). Most people would be happy to stay in Miami for a day or two but not at this place. Hotel check in was easy and fast. Thankfully I got here before the crowd. I think half of my plane ended up here. Friendly staff. My issue was the roooooooom. Omg it's like I got into a time transport and went to the 80s. Dated is an understatement. I had to keep telling myself "it's dated, not dirty" just to put my mind at ease to go to sleep. Thank God I was only here for a night. I wouldn't have lasted any longer.
Be the first to ReplyDo NOT recommend.
We stayed here due to location. Overpriced for what you get. We paid $300 for an outdated and dirty hotel room. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a dead cockroach. The carpet looked dirty and uneven, and were awakened by jackhammering. One of our rooms was not ready for 3 hours after check in, they did not offer any compensation. The Wi-Fi was also down for over 24 hours. The staff did not say anything when we told them about the roach. This hotel lacks proper management and looks very run down.
Be the first to ReplyTerribly over-priced for what it is.
It's at best a mediocre hotel that pretends to be a resort. They charged us almost $30/day for a resort fee and yet don't even have a swimming pool. The only thing they have is beach access with some lounge chairs. They also charge $25/day for parking which is across the street from the hotel. Take the advice we were given by someone working on the beach: find a better hotel that charges the same or less for far better quality!

The only reason I am putting this 4 star review is because of THERESA. I was at a wedding at this woman was cleaning the bathroom and made me feel so great. Thank god for the women who take on the absolute worst task of any hotel. I appreciate you. We appreciate you. Thank you so much.
Be the first to ReplyAdvice I can give is don't stay here.
we just left got to our room yesterday and it was flooded had to change rooms and actually go ourselves and get the new key at the front desk. after we checked out my husband realized he left his glasses behind the ones he uses to drive. the manager didn't even go to our room and check for them called housekeeping instead. never staying here agai.
Be the first to ReplyThe Hotel is very outdated but clean.
I suggest they update the lighting because the yellow light bulbs are def outdated and change the carpet. By doing those two updates the hotel will look 100% better. Because the rooms were very dark because of the lighting and the beige paint Front desk service was very helpful just don't like that there is no valet parking and you have to pay $25 to park your own car.
Be the first to ReplyAre you ready for the 411? Here we go.
..all I have to say is RUN when it comes to this alleged "hotel and resort". This venue was booked for my sorority's Founders Day and I was excited to be here until we actually got here. Check-in was smooth and truly appreciated DeeDee who was so helpful. This young lady is cover girl for customer service. She definitely knows how to make a guest feel important! We got to the first room (#432) and it was so dark and reason being the view from the window was of a high cement wall, plus you were able to see people's underwear from the neighboring complex. This was clearly not going to work and got moved to room (#205) which was a brighter room but the room was floor level and had a beautiful view of the food truck and construction workers looking through the bedroom window. We were given another room (#329) which was bigger and better BUT the sink had a slow drain, the TV did not work, the cleaning person does not make up bed just delivers towels! Did I mention there is no room service and there is a $28 per day resort fee BUT nothing works so what am I paying for??? Th ams goodness they reversed the resort fees because of non-working TV. I cannot even believe this is also a timeshare and they are actually giving tours of the place to couples!!!Oh and the best for last the swimming pool was closed due to construction but guests were not notified PRIOR to booking! As I always say some places are some and some places are for others...but this place clearly was NOT for me! All the best to those who visit this "resort."
