Nicco's Prime Cuts & Fresh Fish Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
Overpriced, poor seating and service.
To think with the prices they could have more intimate dining, we sat shoulder to with strangers, the table next to us was pampered, while we had to beg for bed and water, I expected so much more from this place, I rate this pace a minus 5, thanks for an uncomfortable evening.
We were there for Mother's Buffet on May.
It was amazing. One of the best buffet. $150 per person. King crab, lobster, prime rib, sushi, and many more. Very fancy.

Quick take: great atmosphere, great food, great service, music way too loud to enjoy fine dining. -Atmosphere - gorgeous place, comfortable chairs and booths, and even chairs for purses - classy touch. And they noted it was a birthday (that I mentioned in the reservation) - always a good sign when restaurants pay attention to reservation notes! -Service - very good. Attentive and friendly staff -Starters - all good. The starter sourdough was fantastic, some of the best I've had. Nice and crusty. Butter was nice and soft. Waiter recommended the Scallops Casino starter. Very good, great pancetta taste, done very well. Our party of five split the Dirty Italian salad. Really tasty, done well, nice cherry tomatoes with a lot of flavor. Entrees: - My Ribeye was very tender, with a good crust. I requested medium rare. Most of the cut was done perfectly, but the interior was much closer to rare. - The Grass Fed Filet was good, tender, done perfectly as ordered (rare). - The Braised Center Cut Short Ribs were considered to be some of the best the diner had ever had. Very tender and flavorful. - The Salmon was cooked perfectly. The Meyer lemon vinaigrette had a nice unexpected sweetness to it (reminded me of yuzu). - The Prime Rib was excellent, done perfectly. Sides: - The steamed asparagus, sauteed spinach, and potato puree were all great, and our group shared them all. Dessert: - We had a birthday, so the restaurant provided the birthday person with a piece of cheesecake. It was a big slice! We all had some, and it was very good. Italian-style, so a little softer than NY type. - We also ordered a Strawberry Pavlova. It was so perfectly executed, and tasted great. The big big downside for us was the volume of the music. I know places want to be energetic and all, and it looks hip and cool, but it was horrible trying to talk over the volume. PLEASE turn down the volume so we can enjoy our really nice meals! Had to deduct one star for this - otherwise, it would've been a 5 star experience.
First time checking out this Durango casino, steakhouse.
Beautiful place with tons of wait staff. Very attentive staff right off the bat. The filet I ordered was cooked to perfection. The prime rib was also cooked very nicely. Sides were excellent.

We waited for 40 mins in line at mid night, and by the time we finally got seated the blonde lady took the order of other people who were way behind us first. We have to wait another 10 mins to order our food, and all the people came in after us got their food first before we did. We ordered a house gumbo but did noticed there were no lobsters in it. The chef accused us for eating all the lobsters and telling him there was none in the plate (that we barely touched), and pointing towards the shrimp stating that's the lobsters. The rest of the people who were behind us in line got all of their foods already. But we never received our oysters until we had this issue with the chief, and that was the oysters from the two guys preciously in line ahead of us that took off with anger because they never received their oysters first. BAD EXPERIENCE WILL NEVER COME BACK AGAIN!
Where do I even begin.
Service was horrible. Our waitress rarely checked on us. Our food took extremely long to come out. We actually had to ask them about our orders being that everyone else who sat after us got their food before us. After over an hour of waiting- our waitress finally came over to tell us that our order was coming. Our food arrived and nothing was prepared correctly. Prime rib was ordered medium but came out medium well closer to well done. Country fried steak tasted like straight oil. Another steak was ordered medium and came out extremely rare! We told our waitress and she said she was going to get a manager. We waited for another 30 minutes before any manager came to us. By this time we just wanted to get out of there. We had spent more than 3 hrs here- and didn't even get a decent dinner. We had to go buy food elsewhere on our way home. Manager did take care of the meals that were not prepared correctly but still... seemed like there was no sense of urgency in anything and no type of quality control in the kitchen.

Walked in when it opened (on a Saturday night) and found a spot at the bar! There was amazing live music and it was a classier spot. Highly recommend the Nicco's martini! It was savory and a fun twist on the classic dirty martini. We ordered meatballs and the thick cut bacon. Crab cakes looked amazing and we wish we ordered them.
The service was excellent.
The food was okay (not good enough for the prices they are charging, but okay). The "ambiance" is just about the worst I've experienced at any "fine dining" restaurant I've ever gone to (unless you like eating in a railway station and having to scream over the passing trains to be heard). This "fine dining" experience features large screen TVs throughout broadcasting repeat sporting events and loud music blaring over the speakers (nothing says fine dining more than a soundtrack featuring Pitbull at full volume). Oddly, there is a sports bar next door so I'm not sure why they needed to make this steakhouse into another one (BTW, The George next door is quieter and more relaxing and the food is about as good). For some odd reason, some tables are covered in table clothes and most are not leaving hard surfaces everywhere. This results in everyone in the restaurant straining to be heard. The guests are screaming at each other, the servers are screaming at the guests, and the guests are screaming at the servers. I've had more relaxing meals at a football game! The staff members - who seem to be doing everything they can to compensate for the situation - freely acknowledge the "issue." It seems like they are attempting to compete with STK for most obnoxious environment at a steakhouse. Good luck with that. They need to make up their minds whether they are a "fine dining" establishment or a Vegas pool party. Right now, they lean toward the latter. There are SO MANY better options for the money in this town, why on earth would anyone go here? We were so glad to get back out to the casino which was actually quieter than this restaurant. Not good. Not good at all.
Finally made it ! Durango is giving luxury locally.
Was having such a great time I didn't get to take many photos but the food 10/10 everything is freshly made & hot when served ! Everything was amazing from start to finish. The ambiance gives modern sexy. Music was updated playing classic hits, service was A1. The teamwork this establishment has is the epitome of what good customer service is. Thank you Corrian, Carlo, Brenda , & Marie.
Sometimes things happen that's out of your control.
But when it does, you do the right thing. Nico's manager had the chance to do the right thing but failed miserably. A man passed out near our table. With blood all over my clothes and people setting bloody napkins all over my table. When all said and done, and the man was safe, the manager neglected and tried to hide the fact that my table had compromised napkins and wasn't going to say anything. He was going to let us sit at the table and pretend like nothing happened. Our steak was barely eaten. Our crab was untouched, and the fact that they didn't comp our meal after all of what happened. I'll never recommend this place to anyone. The steak was dry. The crab was weak. Save your money and go somewhere else. It's a big waste of your time and money. I hope this place closes down waste of time and money. The manager goes shove it straight up your ass. I paid my bill when you should've comped it. That's what I would've done if you were at my restaurant. I promise you I'll tell 10 million people. I'll give you a year.

What a great place for dinner! The food and drinks were amazing and the place is beautiful inside. The staff were kind and attentive as well. As a local it's so nice to have a reliable and delicious steakhouse nearby. Thank you Nicco's for the amazing birthday chocolate cake!!

Worth a reservation! This local steakhouse in southwest Las Vegas is a spot where I'll return to explore more of the menu options. We had a reservation for early Friday evening, and everything was great! The service was on point, the ambiance was classy and the food was terrific. We started with the thick-cut bacon (pictured), and the pieces were huge! The dry aged [30 day] porterhouse (pictured) melted in my mouth! The side of broccoli was delicious, too! I believe it had some balsamic vinegar sauce, adding more flavor to the entire meal. I ordered a cocktail, The Blooming Flower or something like that. It was a super cute representation, mixed with gin and had a floral scent to it. Loved that. We got the warm butter toffee cake for dessert, which was to die for. Overall, if you're thinking about trying this steakhouse, do it.

Great steakhouse option off the strip with the same superior service and quality food. Killed it from the signature drinks, tasty appetizers ( langostines were bomb) delicious steaks and delectable desserts ( especially the key lime pie). Service was top notch! Highly recommend!
Second time returning to this beautiful restaurant if you
Second time returning to this beautiful restaurant if you ever go, make sure you get sat with Nick he is so informative and he paints a picture of everything he explains. Customer service skills are through the roof and every recommendation is always a hit! my wife and I got the creamy spinach, the creamed corn, the mashed potato purée, the crab tempura appetizer and then we shared the Branzino. The fish was grilled to perfection. It was tender. It was juicy, seasoned perfect ! Hats off the Chef and thanks to Nick again for an amazing dinner experience with my wife.
I will say the best meat in Vegas with reasonable price
I will say the best meat in Vegas with reasonable price even in a Casino hotel. Not like the stripe hotel and steak house will rob you blind. Definitely a must try, reservation is a must.

Went in for dinner on Father's Day with my family this was my third time coming in and never had a problem but this time it was embarrassing disappointing and just disrespectful the dinner service we received , We ordered half dozen oysters shrimp cocktail two salads two soups they brought out half the appetizers first then 15 minutes later the other half when everyone had picked something for themselves only thing we were sharing was the oysters but when the second half of appetizers hit the table the entrees followed right after the runner looked around confused stood for a while knowing we had just gotten our appetizers so he took the entrees back , and at this point my family said we hope they don't just let it sit under lamps since it was an expensive dinner two prime ribs a filet a salmon and three sides then "15 MINUTES" or more pass by and the same guy comes back and it was the same food in the same plates you could tell they just let our 600$ dinner sit under a lamp not caring about the customer, but the worst part was neither of our two servers cared to ask you could tell they knew what happened, I didn't want to ruin the night since I don't always see my dad but I'm a local I live down the street I work in the industry and the way they handled our dinner is not the way vegas does things ,

I am writing to share feedback on our recent visit to Nico's restaurant. While I am giving this a very generous one-star review, it is solely due to the exceptional and attentive service provided by the bartenders. Regarding the food, our experience was disappointing. We started with a shrimp cocktail, which was probably the best item we had, despite the shrimp being somewhat small for a fine dining establishment. Next, we shared a wedge salad, which was fair at best; the dressing was watery and lacked flavor. For our entrees, I ordered the ribeye medium rare, but it arrived nearly raw and excessively seasoned. My wife's filet, requested medium rare, was served medium well and overly salted. We also shared the artichoke side dish, which was undercooked with large shavings of Parmigiano cheese, tasting more like raw artichoke with sliced cheese. As locals who frequently dine out, we were excited to try Nicco's for our Father's Day dinner but unfortunately, the food quality did not meet our expectations. We suggest that others might find a more enjoyable dining experience at another steakhouse.
BE CAREFUL! I was hosting clients.
my client orders a glass of wine he's familiar. I'm not in a position to price check and the som doesn't offer up the price. I'm figuring $100/glass. nope. $400/glass. I talk to the manager the next day. He first confirms that this is an off menu item... bet that change now. I said refund one glass and im good. nope. he offered $100. Clearly this is coordinated deception encouraged by the manager. The food and service was great but I don't like being taken advantage of. Especially at a place that's local for me.
Mostly a dissapointing experience.
Servers were very nice but felt extremely ignored all night and he paid minimal attention to us after taking our order. We had to flag down another server to box up our leftovers. Waited over 15 minutes after we were done with our meal for server to visit table. My wife's fish was good, but my prime rib was average at best with an abundance of fat with just plain tasting au jus. The prime rib at BJ's Restaurants is so much tastier at half the price. The $72 prime rib was simply not really good. And the final downer was when the bill finally arrived. $5 for a fountain Pepsi and they charged an additional $5 for a refill. I will not be returning to Nicco's.
Restaurant Week.
Thought, why not, try it. Turns out, it's not anything different, it's just exactly the same out out of the menu. Same item, same price. Then, when we get our steak. It was not Medium Rare. When we sent it back, they brought it back to us and said it's their lighting that tricks our eyes so just take a bite and see. Wait, The sunlight???? What kind of trickery lighting are we talking about here. I'm pretty sure we've had a steak or two in the sunlight, sir. Just the one waitress who took our drink orders were apologetic. The rest of the staff looked at us like we were a couple of freeloaders. Wow. Safe to say, we ain't going back.

I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

You should probably cancel prior to the cancellation date per the cancellation policy. I would imagine you would only get reimbursed for a sold listing if you happen to be charged?

My first sale took about a week. But as the other commenter said stay ontop of your cancellation windows. There’s no reimbursement for those so make sure you cancel in time then just try again.
