Nobu Scottsdale Reviews
A night of deliciousness!
Visiting the area and had a business dinner at Nobu. Lots of appetizers, cocktails, meals and desserts were shared and it was all fresh, perfectly plated for presentation and tasted fabulous! The server was patient with us and made excellent recommendations.
Probably top 5 places to enjoy people watching and the food
Probably top 5 places to enjoy people watching and the food is pretty amazing. Crispy rice tuna is the best anywhere... I'm pretty sure the location attracts some of the best talent in Scottsdale. Fat Ox/Ocean 44 may be close rivals but the food is better here!

stopped by for a quick bite and the food and service was nothing short of exceptional. the Pina Martini was refreshing and perfect for a hot day. the fish was also very fresh and tasty, my favorite was the fluke with garlic chips! i also absolutely loved the ambiance, very beautiful restaurant and lovely staff. i would highly recommend stopping by with a group or a cute date night!

The food is really good and so is the service! I just wish you would bring back the Wasabi Caesar. Really loved the recommendations by the servers in the bar area and loved the red snapper dish on the cold menu. The non-alcoholic drinks are also really good and so is the Sake created by Chef to go with the food. Thanks for the great experience.
Walked in and was in awe of the decor and ambience.
Got seated right away since I had a reservation. As expected, the food was a little pricey and I would only go again for the experience. If I were to go again, I would get the Cripsy rice and spicy tuna, Prime filet toban yaki, and black cod with miso. Those were all very delicious and I wish I ordered more of. The presentation of the Prime filet Toban Yaki was very extravagant. The service was amazing, always refilling my water very quickly and very often without me having to ask. They often checked up on me and made me feel welcome. If you are looking for a great experience with good food paired up with it, this place is for you!

The service was top tier! The waiter was very thorough, patient, and accommodating. The space was elegant and delightful! I thoroughly enjoyed celebrating my birthday here!
Was in town last night to celebrate a friend's birthday.
Beautiful space and great food however the service was lacking. There's a fine line between attentive service and making the diner feel like they need to hurry up and order, eat and leave. Within the first 4 minutes (seriously 4) we were asked by 3 different waiters whether we were ready to order. Keep in mind we had ordered drinks so we really weren't just taking up a table. Also, it did not help that the first two things we tried to order were sold out and we weren't really presented with alternatives or suggestion. The 4th and last waiter, Tyler, came over, and we explained to him that we were a bit chaotic re ordering because we had an insane work day and were having trouble making decisions. Instead of engaging us and being friendly he was (my friend was trying to make friendly jokes to get him to warm up a bit) he was dismissive and bordering rude. He said he would make decisions for us and just walked away. For the rest of the night it constantly felt like the staff just wanted us to hurry up and eat and leave. Ordered a couple of bottles and a large amount of appetizers and called it a night as we did not feel welcome. Might give it another shot next time I'm in town but otherwise I'll probably just stick to the other locations.

The restaurant was beautiful and located right next to a parking garage which came in handy as it was really hot the day we came. I had made a reservation on open table and was sat immediately upon arrival. I was surprised at how busy the place was already by 5:30pm. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and I am a big fan of a great bathroom which they definitely checked all the boxes. It was too hot to sit on the patio but it did look like a great option when not in an AZ summer. As for the food, it was good but for the price I was not totally sold. I also got some new items off the menu that I hadn't had before and it was hit or miss. The two wins, the rock tempura shrimp - always so good! The second was my cocktail. It was a mezcal drink but the perfect amount of Smokey where it was not overpowering. The two items that I thought were good, just not great were the tartare with caviar - the sauce was the reason I wasn't a fan, the wasabi made it taste a little horseradish to me which I personally don't like, but that's just preference. The second was the lobster roll- I did get it tempura style. It was good, but not $50 good. Overall I would come back again but I would definitely stick more to what I know and what I feel is worth the price (like the shrimp!)
Never disappoints.
Was there twice this past month. Attentive wait staff. High quality fish. Clean, modern ambiance.
I really wanted to like this place.
We went on a Sunday evening, to celebrate a birthday. It wasn't that busy at all and we got seated right away. Our server was really informative. He explained a lot about the items on the menu and why they were special. The menu had a lot of items, from appetizers to salads to rolls to grilled items. Every one can dine here. It's not exclutsively for sushi lovers. We started with the recommended Lychee martinis, a Nobu staple. It was very sweet and it tasted like lychee juice. Could be a good thing or a bad thing, based on your preference. It was okay for me. I won't order it again. Then we ordered the yellowtail, another Nobu staple. This dishes was the best thing we had there. The flavor profile was light, refreshing due to the citrus, and had a kick due to the jalapeรฑos. The king crab tempura was also good, but for $56? I didn't think it was worth the price for the portion. We also ordered the next three dishes that were recommended to us by the server. We got the spicy garlic scallops, prime filet toban yaki, and roasted cauliflower. The scallops were our least favorite dish. They came out a little under cooked and they were heavily sauced, which was a shame. I would not recommend. The presentation of the prime filet was the highlight of that dish. They present it in this smoked dome glass and the dish comes out sizzling. However, that was about it. Nothing else memorable about it. The cauliflower tasted the same as the scallops. I wasn't sure if they tossed the cauliflower in the same sauce, but both of those dishes were similar in flavor profile. Definitely would not recommend. At the end, the bill was $300+. I expected the meal to be expensive but for what we ordered?? It was definitely not worth it. If you have always wanted to go to Nobu, I would say try it . If you want to go there to try the food, I would skip this place unless you don't mind the high price point for their items.
Miso Cod is a must
Date night, the spicy tuna app and the miso cod are just amazing and always my fav. Highly suggest them both. Service was good but there was a clearly new table busser who was a African American male. I just want to give him kudos he was so sweet and clearly new. The trainer or server (on patio) kept reprimanding him in front of tables and I thought she was rather mean. I get that Nobu has a service level and I appreciate that (and pay for it) but maybe save the criticism for the kitchen. He was trying hard and so sweet and polite.

WTF are you kidding me? we had a reservation here in the evening at 8:15. when we got there we were informed that THEY had to cancel our reservation because they already started closing down the kitchen. it was a very upsetting end to our night considering we were looking forward to dining here. i would give zero stars if i was able to because we couldn't even eat!! Nobu, i am very disappointed. hopefully they do not pull this on anyone else that dines here!!!! it's okay i guess...Mcdonald's received our business this evening
Love the ambiance here.
It's soooo pretty inside. It's right next to a parking lot as well so that was not hard to find. The food at Nobu is always impeccable and this one in Scottsdale also fits the bill. Every item we tried was delicious. The yellowtail jalapeno is always a house favorite. We tried the miso black cod and it was just as tasty as when I first had it in Vegas. I recommend Nobu to anyone who enjoys delicate but tasty sushi and seafood. Nobu is the best!
Ambiance and atmosphere was very nice.
I came on a Wednesday evening with a friend and we sat outside. We started with an order of the avocado rolls, which were okay. We each got a drink and I ordered the wagyu dumplings and she ordered a filet entree. The service was great but the food, mediocre. For how expensive this place is I had much higher expectations. Absolutely not worth the price in my opinion. Not sure if their other dishes are any better.
Best service ever.
Attention to detail was incredible. This would be 5 stars if the prices were a bit more reasonable. Ambiance was beautiful, waiter was lovely. Food & drinks were delicious. Will be back.
Very good - cool vibe.
Service was good and loved what we ordered. The black cod was the best!

It was a little unassuming driving to this Nobu location as it's at the mall. It's a perk with the parking though. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time for larger groups but I ended up getting this to go this time around so didn't get to check out this location. As for what to get, be sure to get their infamous miso cod. This time around I ended up getting the edamame, toro roll, tuna roll, house special roll, and handrolls. The ingredients always taste fresh and super light + their presentation is always so nice to look at. Ordering in advance was super easy and was on time to what was quoted.
Service and atmosphere was way more casual than other Nobu
Service and atmosphere was way more casual than other Nobu locations I have visited. Not saying it's bad, just not what I expected. Maybe the Scottsdale Nobu wants this atmosphere.
Every time I've been to Nobu Scottsdale I have great food
Every time I've been to Nobu Scottsdale I have great food and great service. It is one of my favorite places to eat, and I am very picky with where I eat sushi/fish. The ambiance is modern, simple, and calming- even in the bathroom! Great place to snap a quick mirror pic. The most recent time I went was last week for my birthday dinner with my girl friends. We were a party of 8 and Tyler did amazing keeping up with all of the food and drinks we ordered. He had great drink recommendations and was very informative with the answers to our questions. He remembered who had allergies and dietary restrictions, and was considerate when handling the food. The manager, Stephanie, was kind enough to send me a dessert on the house for my birthday. It couldn't have gone any better, thank you Nobu staff for making my friends and I's night! For food, I strongly recommend getting the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna. Every time I order it I swear it gets better and better. If you're looking for something light as a starter, I recommend the Cucumber Sunomono. I provided a picture of what that looks like. The portion size in the photo is for two, but if you order for one the portion is smaller. If you come here and aren't feeling seafood, the Jidori Chicken is the way to go. My go-to is their spicy tuna sushi roll, but their crab is to die for. For drinks, I always get my Mango Passion, but Tyler surprised me with the Pina Martini and it was very good. I am a sweet drink kind of girl, but their spicy drinks are also delicious.
The decor: Beautiful.
Spectacular. Stunning. The food: Beautiful. Spectacular. Stunning. The staff: Amazing, darling! No, really, Nobu was absolutely great. The food was delicious, the restaurant was gorgeous, the lychee martini was pure perfection, and the staff were attentive and on top of it. It's been days and I can still cannot get that sea bass out of my mind. It's haunting me. As well as the amazing wagyu with truffle. Oh and the sushi, so fresh, so delicious. It IS expensive (we did the omakase that was $200 a person) so I recommend keeping it to special occasions. Or be like us and randomly go just for fun on a random Tuesday because why not!
Meh is the word that sums up the whole experience.
Meh food (except miso cod) meh drinks (where is half of my wine?) & meh service (soul-less & rushed, they were extremely busy). Not worth $300 for 2 people without desserts. We ended up walking over to Francine for lattes and desserts - excellent service, great vibes! Go there! Most likely won't come back.
Canโt go wrong
We had a great experience. Terrific service and excellent food. Everything is delicious. Sat outside and it was great. Indoor is nice, but itโs a big place and probably gets pretty loud quickly. Our key to making Nobu visits (no matter where) a nice experience: Donโt sit in the main dining room and donโt come on a Saturday at 8pm. Works for us all the time and we thoroughly enjoy our visits. This one here was no exception. Would definitely go back.

When we walked in for our reservation, there was no hostess up front. we were not the only ones waiting, there were 4 other parties who were here before us who weren't able to check in. we had a 7:45 reservation and we weren't sat until 8. our waiter on the other hand was FANTASTIC. he gave us many great recommendations and was very friendly. He got us our food in a timely manner and made sure to check on us frequently. The food as always was AMAZING. Highly recommend getting the spicy miso eggplant and the scallops in spicy garlic sauce. the restaurant has a nice vibe to it and i would recommend coming here.
100/10
Had a great date night at Nobu! Lovely atmosphere, excellent food and wonderful service. Sushi and tempura are my favorites. Amazing food experience!
Great for a special occasion
This is definitely a place Iโd call fine dining. The six small dishes we shared were really tasty and will prepared. The wait and serving staff were absolutely on the spot, friendly and knowledgeable. The cost for a good dinner is way up in the 5-star realm. One thing that I didnโt care too much about was the background tech music playing rather loudly. All in allโฆ..try it for a great night out
Best Belated Birthday in my 67 years!
The time of my LIFE!!!! Iโm a long time sushi fan (since 1980โs in NYC). Helping with my new grandson in NYC I was scheduled to go to Nobu there. Sadly had to cancel . On our recent dental conference in Scottsdale I took myself while hubby was elsewhere ( heโs not into fish). Someone told me to try the Chefs tasting & wow it was beyond. I savored every bite . Ordered 2 sakiโs & Ikura . They spoiled me thenโฆ Jessica COMPED the whole meal WHAT !!! Unforgettable, best belated birthday of my life. Thanks Chef Julio & waiter Tyler, go if you get the chance. Iโm donating all season paying it forward.
Gorgeous and delicious experience with outstanding service
What an enjoyable experience at Nobu at the bar. Beautiful restaurant. Lots of comfy seating 'living room style' in the bar area. Waited out the rain and were blessed with excellent service by the bartenders, especially Robin. Martinis were awesome, served with a smile. A little loud at times: all martinis are shaken vigorously (your martini will be blissfully bruised) in stainless steel, and martinis are very popular. Water refilled constantly and unobtrusively. Shrimp+Lobster with lemon garlic sauce was awesomely delicious. King Crab tempura was decadent. Best seafood in town. Will return for the sashimi etc. Note: Google Maps may present Nobu as located inside of Dillards (that kept me busy for about 20 minutes). It is attached but separate, between Dillards and Lifetime. Valet parking available ($20!), check out the free parking in the structure on the north side of LifeTime.
Excellent, as expected
Lovely, high-quality sushi and creative presentations. Great server who was fun and knowledgeable. The place was hopping on a Wednesday night with a lively bar area. A very nice treat. You will want to make reservations.
Nobu Scottsdale
Nobu Scottsdale has excellent food and drinks in a cool and relaxed atmosphere. They have excellent customer service here and make sure that you have everything that you need for the best meal. Good experience every time I have been here.
Excellent evening
We were there for dinner with our kids. We asked for a quiet table, and they gave us a table in a semi private room. The service was attentive and excellent. The food was interesting and, also, excellent. My wife said that her sushi was one of the best sheโs ever had. We will go back.
Last night was my first experience at Nobu.
Now I'm mad at myself for walking by the past years and not giving them a chance. Now I have a lot of catching up to do because there are so many things I want to try.My friend and I sat outside for a patio experience. We were immediately greeted with a drink menu. I was impressed with the non-alcoholic beverage options since I'm not a drinker. My friend loves her libations and happy to see a variety. She opted for the drink special for the month and I settled with the strawberry lemonade mocktail. Loved the drink setup but did not enjoy the drink. I settled for Ginger Beer for my next option and was pleased. Next we received the menu overview from cold to hot options. I was impressed by the level of service as I felt we had 2 servers who were extremely attentive. They did not miss a beat in recommendations and providing an overview. I ordered the sea salt edamame which was not warm as told but it was pretty good. I had the crispy rice soup which was amazing. My friend ordered the salmon or fish tacos which she enjoyed. Then we both had the rib eye. It was topped with crispy onions and laying in a bed of better. It is pre-sliced so you can enjoy it with chopsticks. For some reason that too was not warm or hot but it was still good we both enjoyed ours. For dessert we had the bento box which was served with warm chocolate molten style cake and green gelato dazzled with small chunks of strawberries. I will definitely be back for happy hour or dinner very soon. I want to try the sushi and many other things on the menu I want to try. You will be highly impressed with the service from the moment you walk through the door.

Food was amazing!! My child has Celiac but I called ahead and they said they could prepare safely and they did. Knocked it out of the park! She said it was the absolute best sushi and we all felt like the staff was so knowledgeable and safe. Plus they made us feel like it was no big deal to have an "allergy" as we usually say. THANK YOU NOBU. We will be back again.
Overpriced & the smallest portions ever.
No kidding, one eel & cucumber roll was the size of a quarter. The eel was nowhere to be found. The wagyu tacos 3 inches long & you will be hungry when you leave for sure. Lots of items were 2pc minimum. Now that I know Robert DeNiro is an owner for sure won't be back! Hiro Sushi & Kodo Sushi are so much better for the food. Just telling it like it is folks.
My son and I went for a combined birthday treat.
What a treat it was. We ordered the Omakasu dinner. Chef selected and absolutely wonderful. The sashimi was so fresh and delicious with surprisingly wonderful flavors. The king crab leg was one of the best things I have ever eaten. Tempura sea bass was a bit dull, served after the crab but still wonderful and the beef rib eye was spectacularly good. We finished with sushi that was perfect. An expensive indulgence worth every penny. The service was delightful and attentive without distracting. I was impressed by the experience.
Great dinner
Great food, unique dishes. We love sushi and we did not like this sushi at all. All the other raw fish, Shishito peppers, and dessert were amazing! Cocktails were really good as well; it just took close to 20 minutes to get a drink each time we ordered. super slow.
Do NOT recommend.
Our group of 3 women have all visited Nobu in other locations and the Scottsdale location failed to meet expectations. Our biggest issue was service. We were not greeted at our table for an extended period of time. We were generally ignored. Had to ask for food menus, drinks were not brought even after multiple requests. We stopped ordering food because we couldn't get our server to stop by and then left hungry. The blatant lack of interest for us to be patrons at this business could not have been more obvious. I attempted 3 times to speak to management prior to posting this review and each time was told no manager was on site (despite being operating hours) after I noted the reason for my call. I gave my phone number and was told they would get back to me yet no attempt has been made as of 3 days later. I would rather flush a few hundred dollars down the toilet than dine at this restaurant again.

RUN far from this place! You'll be paying lots of money to wait and be mistreated. We patiently waited for our table, only to be walked to the table, asked to wait in the walkway to be seated, then escorted back into another walkway just to be turned around in a minute to head back to the table. Let me make a point to say, the room was still not situated with the proper place settings. As we finally settled in, the hostess approached the group to ask if we could move to the main dining room because there was a party behind us that increased in size. Her exact words "We can comp your first round of drinks and appetizers. We aren't able to accommodate this party anywhere else in our restaurant. Also they have a $3,000 minimum spend and you guys don't." While I do understand things come up, but to try to guilt trip your patrons is distasteful. We declined given the circumstances. Our server, Aprill H rudely took our orders. Made people feel uncomfortable while ordering. The service was painfully slow, we had to track down our server to order drinks while we waited over an hour for the first appetizers to arrive. Requested items like ginger requested when appetizers were dropped were delivered by Aprill after entrees were finished. The last entree was dropped after everyone finished their meal. We wanted to order dessert. Server dropped the menus, but she was nowhere to be found. We had to have the buser track her down for 20 minutes +. Concerned that we would be waiting another hour to receive our desserts we decided not to order. Our meal took us about 2.5 hours to complete. This is longer than a 12 course omakase yikes!

When in town for work, Nobu Scottsdale is always the first stop. Love the bar area for a quick happy hour and must have lychee martini's. Ceviche on happy hour is a must have. Bar staff also friendly and attentive as always.

We went to the restaurant and they could have not been more disorganized. When we went to check in, we found out the iPad to check in guests was dead and they were waiting for it to charge. Then they insisted on getting all of the outdoor tables ready before seating anyone. So we waited another 30 minutes for them to setup tables. But they never seated anyone out there. The most frustrating part was that there were 25% of the tables inside empty and they just flat out refused to seat anyone. Worst dining experience ever.

From the second we walked in we were greeted, taken to table and drinks were ordered right away. This was Waste Management/ Superbowl weekend so even though reservations were hard to get we were serviced promptly the entire night. The waiter walked us through the menu and everything was UNREAL. He made suggestions for things and boy was he spot on. My boyfriend and I just stared at each other in shock after each bite. Even though the portions are small we both were very satisfied after our meal. If you are a raw fish/seafood lover you must visit Nobu at least once in your life. I've only ever been to the Malibu location and now Scottsdale and personally think Scottsdale is better.

Nobu in Scottsdale and it's moody ambiance was an experience. The staff were very friendly. We would not come here for the food, but we would love to share this place over drinks with friends. Food wise, it is expensive sushi that does not fill you up. My husband and I have our favorite sushi places in the Valley including Sekai Sushi in Gilbert, Crazy Tuna in Chandler, and Junn All You Can Eat Sushi in Tempe - these places get you more bang for your buck. If you were influenced by Drake or simply wanting to dress up, hang out, and drink with friends in the heart of Scottsdale, highly recommend trying Nobu!
Massively overpriced for truly underwhelming food.
The only reason to go here is for the "scene."
Great Night Out
Great food, atmosphere, and service. Favorite items of the night wagu dumplings, sashimi salad, lobster taco and bento box. Would definitely come back next time we are in town

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Nobu Scottsdale at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Nobu Scottsdale page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* DistinguishedTree58, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* DistinguishedTree58 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to DistinguishedTree58 for any questions Peter may have as DistinguishedTree58 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* DistinguishedTree58 now uses their connections at Nobu Scottsdale to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If DistinguishedTree58 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
