Be the first to ReplyNice casual dining at the Orleans Hotel.
They have both Chinese and Sushi on their menu. I opted for the Sushi Side. That was a mistake. Chinese food is clearly their jam. The sushi rice was beyond awful and the fish cuts were amateur. Service was super nice though. The pictures on yelp have nothing to do with the actual food. There is no avocado in the poke. The chirashi bowl is not nearly as interesting as the pictures on yelp. And the Sushi rice is SO BAD! Am looking at the Chinese food at the table next to me and it is way better. I want what they have!

This restaurant is inside the Orleans Hotel Casino and it's really good! We went for lunch during the conference we were attending. We ordered lettuce wraps to share, 2 cups of wonton soup and we each ordered a lunch special. I had Mongolian beef and my friend had kung pow chicken. Everything was very good! I will definitely go here again next conference if not sooner (it is quite a drive from my house) Our server was very nice our only complaint was the length of time to receive our food. It took 35 to get our soup and lettuce wraps, this was after the lunch rush. And then our entrees came out pretty quickly. If you're on a time crunch this may not be the best option but if you don't have to rush I would 100% recommend eating here!

While attending a conference at the Orleans Hotel, we were allotted time to have lunch in-between sessions. Ondori seemed the most interesting of the options as it was not a chain like the others. We were given a hour and half for lunch, so we thought we had plenty of time. Food The menu offers a lot of different options from entrees, soups, and sushi to name a few. They also have a reasonably priced lunch special that includes fried rice and egg roll. I went with General Tsao's chicken as it is a personal favorite of mine. The food took a while to come out, which they provided wontons and dipping sauces. The chicken was good, not great. I enjoyed the rice the best as I am not a huge vegetable fan. 3/5 Service The service was honestly pretty slow for the amount of time that we were given. They committed one of my biggest pet peeves while dining and brought out our party of 6's food out at three different times. I'm pretty sure our last person's order was completely forgotten about as she had to wait 25 minutes for hers after everyone else's. This makes it super awkward for a dining party. They were attentive in refilling drinks, which is a pro. 2/5 Ambiance The restaurant had the typical feel of an Asian dining establishment, which was nice. It was clean and had a nice bar in the front. 3/5 From what I've been told, Ondori is usually a very good dining experience. I would be willing to give it another try on a different day, this just wasn't the best.

We make it a priority to stop at The Orleans almost every Vegas trip and who offers delicious Asian cuisine than Ondori. Since it was just me this time (hubby was playing poker) I ordered the Chirashi bowl because sushi rice and assorted sashimi just sounded amazing. While yes, the bowl looked presentable and beautiful, it simply left much to be desired and I thought it was okay. Mainly because the cuts of fish were not the best. It does come with miso soup and a cucumber salad. It was worth a try but would skip this one and order rolls next time.

Walk straight back past the Alligator Bar. Very nice place and lots of seating. The dishes were very good. Sea bass over tofu could have been better for the price. Other dishes were tasty and cannot go wrong with the gai lan green vegetable. The soup was very hot tasty too. Waiter, Poncho (so he said) was very good, attentive and pleasant. Food came out quick and hot.

I ate there every day during my stay at the Orleans.
Be the first to ReplyThe customer service here is very offensive.
I wanted to order 2 items to go so I approached the podium and the Restaurant Manager was standing there counting his receipts and surprisingly did not bother to look up he just said, "for how many" I responded, just a few item to go so he pointed to my left and asked me to go on the other side of the velvet rope. There were no other customers in line or approaching and the inside did not look busy at all. So I walked to where he pointed and reviewed the menu while he continued counting his receipts. As I stood there waiting and hoping another staff member would come back to help me for about 10 minutes, I read a sign that said The restaurant basically tips themself for every order if you purchase under $50 they add $2.50 to your bill and if you purchase over $50 they add $5 TO ALL TO-GO orders.I asked him to clarify the sign and am I understanding this correctly and he Rudely said, "yes it doesn't matter what you order if you bought something for 50 cents we add that charge". I could not believe this man was so disrespectful, how do you work in the service industry and treat customers like this. I refuse to give my hard earned money to Pieces of Sh/t like this so I said no thanks and left.

Great service. Sumi the bartender was amazing. She was busy but still found the time to keep up with excellent service from beginning to end. Great vibe

Stopped by here during the WCC Basketball Tournament at the Orleans hotel. A much more enjoyable experience this time. An amazing Cantonese restaurant with a full dim sum menu.I started with miso soup and also their dry beef chow fun which rivals some of the best dim sum restaurants in Oakland and San Francisco China towns. Made with fresh rice noodles and tender grilled beef. Pricing is reasonable and the service has improved since my last visit.I can hardly wait to go backMatt says if you ever find yourself in Vegas, go off the strip a ways and try this place.

Food is always on the spot here if you're willing to wait for 2 hours on a Tuesday early afternoon. I think the place is short staffed. I can't imagine this place on a weekend dinner.

Great food, beautiful restaurant located inside the Orleans hotel. Waiter was very helpful with suggestions . Tried the Hong Kong style chow mein, orange chicken, fried rice, and the beef brisket pot. All delicious!

This was very good, the only reason it is 4 instead of 5 was the oyster pork hot pot was pretty mushy, but everything else was fantastic, including the service and the drinks. Would absolutely go again
Be the first to ReplyService is terrible.
Sat for over 10 mins without being waited on , when waitress finally came she was rude. Food is good, service sucks
Be the first to ReplyI'll start with the not so great.
The skin on my won ton was odd. I can't describe it. The filling however was tasty. Could also have a little more noodles.I had a won ton noodle soup for dinner there were a lot of veggies and the flavor was great .I also had the shrimp tempura sushi that was really good. The kids had a fire roll sushi that they all loved.I'd go back.

It's normal while traveling that food tastes differ from home. I find this is to be true especially with Chinese food. Ondori has impressed me with their food both in taste and in portions. Since we were staying at the Orleans on our recent Vegas stay, we declined to venture out on a particular cold night and eat on property. We had initially decided on TGI Fridays but we encountered Ondori in the way. Food was good and brought out especially quick. Choi sum in garlic was a good side dish to complement our main dishes of cold ginger chicken and beef black bean on fun. The chow fun was not swimming in sauce but had just enough. The ginger chicken came out with ginger sauce on the side so you can add on to your hearts content. Prices were comparable to the high end Hawaii Chinese places.
Be the first to ReplyIt's in the Orleans hotel (a dumpy off-Strip property).
The restaurant serves tasty Cantonese food (I haven't tried the Japanese food) and the restaurant is a lot nicer than the hotel. My only caveat is to skip the roast duck. Everything else is very good, but the duck is average at best.
Be the first to ReplyI'm so thankful this place is open until 12am.
It was the perfect late night meal after a long day in Vegas. We started off with hot tea, which was nice. The food part was difficult because the menu had so many great choices. We went with a French Kiss Roll and Sashimi Special. This was my first time having a roll with mango salsa and it was the perfect blend of sweet, spice, and deliciousness. I highly recommend. The Sashimi Special was a good amount of food and it was nice that it came with a cucumber salad and miso soup... very filling. Whether you're staying at The Orleans or looking for some tasty sushi, Chinese or Japanese cuisine, this is a place worth trying.

The restaurant is located inside the casino. It does get busy of course the weekends is usually packed so again. Plan your visit according really. The price is fair for the the good food you will get and the the serving size is pretty good. I do recommend Ondori! Yesssss
