Review of Orilla Bar and Grill: My experience at Orilla
Review of Orilla Bar and Grill: My experience at Orilla Bar and Grill for dinner was truly captivating. The atmosphere exuded sophistication with its dim lighting and stylish decor. The indoor seating felt cozy, yet there was a seamless transition to outdoor vibes with the opening alongside the restaurant leading outside. This ambience makes it a perfect choice for date nights, girls' night out, or even business dinners. Located in Miami Beach, it serves as an ideal starting point for a night out in the vibrant city. I highly recommend making reservations as it can get busy. Fortunately, we were promptly seated upon arrival. However, due to the residential area, street parking can be scarce, and we ended up utilizing the valet service for $25. Orilla Bar and Grill specializes in Argentinian cuisine, particularly known for their steaks. Despite their steak reputation, the menu offers a variety of options, catering to various preferences. The food was served promptly, arriving hot, fresh, and incredibly delicious. The service further elevated the experience; our server was knowledgeable, attentive, and readily answered any inquiries. Additionally, the unique drink selections added an extra flair to the dining experience. In conclusion, Orilla Bar and Grill is undeniably a great dining destination. The combination of delectable food, excellent service, and enchanting ambiance makes it a must-visit spot in Miami Beach.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and drinks.
There was a DJ the night we went. The wait can be really long on Fridays but that's expected on SOBE.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Argentinian inspired restaurant.
Ate there for my mother's 65th and was very impressed. Sheik ambience, Staff was friendly and accommodating, food was some of the best food I've eaten anywhere globally. Empanadas were exceptional, Tomahawk steak was top 3 I've eaten hands down, Brussels spouts were uniquely prepared and absolutely delicious. Exceptional wine options, all in all great dinner. Definitely will return when in South Beach again!!

We had reservations here for dinner one of the nights we were in Miami. It did not disappoint. The interior was dark and moody and it had a DJ spinning tunes. Service was kind of hit or miss and our server seemed to switch towards the end of the meal even though our original server was still there helping other tables. The flank steak was good but the brussel sprouts were delightful. Best part of the meal.

I hosted an after opening (gallery owner) dinner party for 40 people at Orilla and it was SPECTACULAR!!! The hospitality, professionalism and the musical vibe was a study in precision and delivered a high level of service. Now-- The food.. WOWZA -- we had a pretty extensive FAMILY STYLE menu and from start to finish... one dish topped the last. From the Tiradito de pulpo, Endive Salad, to the Filet Mignon, Butterfly Branzino and Lumache Pasta w/ Duck Ragu!!... UUUMMMM DELISH!! and I'm a foodie-- so I know! and the desserts were magnificent.... Outstanding!!! Serving 40 guests with precision and detail ----everything arriving to the table flawlessly and delicious --- BRAVO/ BRAVA. And ps... the Dj was FIRE!!! This should be a must on your list!!!
Be the first to ReplyWe were served an $18 bottle of wine for $70 dollars.
Our steaks were tough and hard to cut with the given steak knives. Our server was inattentive and didn't check in to see how the food was or if we wanted anything else. We ordered the key lime pie and it was so hard that when trying to cut a piece with our forks it flew in the air. We were so looking forward to celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary at a quality restaurant but left very disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyThe food and price don't match.
Service wasn't appropriate and the waiter was arrogant. I would say that it was advertised more than it really is.
Be the first to ReplyBest Miami Beach Burger! An Unbelievably good wagyu beef
Best Miami Beach Burger! An Unbelievably good wagyu beef burger with caramelized onions and "bacon" which tastes like a slice of beautifully roasted pork loin on top. Juicy. Tasty, cooked to a meat lovers delight. No need for cheese baby a burger for the perfectionist. Oh and the fries are awesome too. my mouth is watering just thinking about this.
Be the first to ReplyThis was our first time at Orilla and I only live a few
This was our first time at Orilla and I only live a few blocks away. I have to stay this place will become a staple for us moving forward. It seems like a place where you can be casual or fancy, a nice mix and fun vibe especially with a live dj! Our server, Rodrigo was the best! He was so friendly and helpful in us choosing our dishes and nothing disappointed. We had the octopus, Burrata, Caesar salad and their signature steak with fries. Everything was beautifully plated, the salad was well dressed. We are so particular when it comes to eating steak, and it came out absolutely perfect. The chef and whole team here were a 10/10. Highly recommend! Only took a few pics because I couldn't wait to eat!

It is a celebration of Argentinian cuisine, culture, and fine dining. The ambiance is incredible - wooden, nature finishes against a modern backdrop. Definitely get a reservation in advance, starts getting really busy post 7:00pm. As a vegetarian, I had many options and my non veggie fiancรฉ loved my dishes more than his own! (But he wants me to say he still recommends the Black Rice Signature Dish). Service staff are incredible - attentive, knowledgeable, and kind. For my veggies - the Tostada Mexicana starter is DELICIOUS. Sharable, yummy, delicious. The rigatoni pomodoro was amazing - I've never had pasta seasoned in this unique way before. Had extras to take home and the leftovers were the MVP of my night. Drinks are all 10/10 - kokomo was my favorite.

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends. We started with some cocktails - they were truly amazing and well thought out, each one perfectly balanced and bursting with flavor. For our appetizers, we ordered the ceviche de pulpo, salad, and empanadas, and they were all delicious. The octopus was cooked perfectly, and the empanadas were packed with flavor. The salad was fresh and light, a perfect accompaniment to the heartier appetizers. For our entrees, I ordered the pomodoro and it was good, with the tomato sauce bursting with flavor. However, the true highlight of the meal was the dessert. We ordered the flan and baked Alaska, and the presentation was absolutely amazing. The flavors were just as impressive, with each bite a perfect balance of sweetness and texture. The only downside of the meal was that we had two servers who didn't communicate with each other, which caused a bit of confusion from time to time. Despite this, we had an amazing time, and I would highly recommend Orilla Miami to anyone looking for a delicious meal and great cocktails in a cozy atmosphere.

Beautiful ambiance and super convenient location - great after/before a walk on the beach. Fun menu and attentive staff. Food was tasty but didn't blow me away. Will definitely be back!
Be the first to ReplyTLDR: 3.
5 overall. 5/5 for the cocktail barContext - we had a 830pm reservation for a friends birthday, and arrived slightly early for it. No biggie - we started the evening at the bar and awaited a text. 30 mins later we get a text but no table is available... host tells us it's just a few mins and he'll find us. About an hour later we're seated. Was it worth the wait? Nope We ordered a number of apps and entrees for dinner. Of interest:- Burrata - delicious. Get 2 if a table of 4- Flank steak - Argentina style, cooked well- Filet mignon - over cooked and under seasoned- Desserts - nice spread, to be expected for a birthdayThe ambiance and decor of the place is amazing, and I can only imagine brunch / early dinner to be a great vibe. Appreciate Sexton coming over and doing all he could. Maybe I'll come back one day and update this review.
Be the first to ReplyI hardly ever leave reviews but feel compelled to in this
I hardly ever leave reviews but feel compelled to in this instance. My husband and I had dinner at Orilla last night and we were both wowed by the experience. We started off w Rodrigo making us some of the most delicious (and pretty) cocktails we've ever had, all while talking us through the thinking behind the ingredients and making us feel warmly welcomed. We then sat down in the patio which had amazing ambiance and were treated to an incredible meal, again with such thoughtful and friendly service throughout. We've been raving to everybody about the experience and will definitely be back. Thank you Orilla!!
Be the first to ReplyThe food is just okay compared to the prices.
The waitstaff was fine but the hostess was rude.

.avoid. Too many great spots in Miami to settle for mediocre service and food. Hopefully I save someone the money
Be the first to ReplyExtremely disappointed with the service at this place.
I came to celebrate a birthday & the service was awful. Server barely came to the table. Was dying of thirst because they took the water bottle away. The server had horrible energy. From the hostess to the server, the vibe was completely off in this place. The food was also not worth it. The orilla salad was gross. The tuna tartare was tiny. Too many good restaurant in miami to pick from, disappointed I wasted a visit here. Oh and they didn't even sing happy birthday when they showed up with just a sparkler.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was good.
Not great, not bad, but good. The issue that makes me unable to give this place a stellar review has nothings to do with the taste or quality of the food or the servers. It was the hostess that was working the front that really got things going in the wrong direction. The last thing restaurant patrons need is for someone to be curt/rude BEFORE the meal is even served. We had reservations for 6:00 PM on 2/25/2023. We were able to take a relatively short walk from our hotel to the restaurant. When we arrived (around 5:45), we noticed that the entrance to the restaurant was closed. I was under the impression that maybe arriving 15 minutes early might get us inside to the bar at least, but no. These people open at 6:00 on the nose. We were standing near the entrance of the (OBVIOUSLY CLOSED) restaurant and the hostess took the opportunity to "inform" me that they open at 6:00. I explained to her that we had reservations, and she reiterated that they opened at 6:00. The terseness is what was not appreciated aside from the fact that she insulted my ability to tell time AND ascertain when an establishment is obviously closed. Sorry we ruined her day by being a little bit ahead of schedule! When the doors opened, a gentleman that I assumed was the manager pleasantly greeted the restaurant patrons that were outside waiting to enter. Upon entry, "Ms. Personality" asked if we had a reservation. I had just told her 15 minutes earlier that we indeed DID have reservations. When she took us in the be seated (in the EMPTY RESTAURANT), she tried to put us at a tiny tiny round table against a column. I think the restaurant is trying to utilize all of the space, but come on! Sometimes you have to know when the envelope is being pushed. Well, back to the issue at hand. My wife was inches away from becoming extremely irritated, and she insisted that we be seated elsewhere. Overall, like I mentioned the food was "good", but I wouldn't necessarily recommend this place to anyone. It doesn't feel good when you're perfectly willing to spend your hard earned money, but some people act as if they rather you keep it.
Be the first to ReplyDespite the location on busy 5th the interiors heavy on
Despite the location on busy 5th the interiors heavy on natural wood and tall leafy greens pull you away from the street. We went for a meat lovers birthday and the staff was ready to celebrate with us from the initial greeting to the complimentary champagne at the end.The cocktails are something to explore as a group. I enjoyed the prawns but it wasn't a memorable dish. Oddly the cruise ship favorite, baked Alaska, was the best part of the meal. I'd return for the cocktails, interiors and helpful staff.

Be the first to ReplyFirst thing that has to be said is: Great cocktail menu!
First thing that has to be said is: Great cocktail menu! Ingredients I've never seen on a drink menu like Huacatay and Pancetta! It was a good dining experience. We happened upon it on Saturday night and figured there wouldn't be any availability but we got lucky at the bar. Unfortunately there were no seats but there was an empty bar table and Rodrigo not only found us a 4th chair so one in our party didn't have to stand the whole time AND brought over some yummy shots for free in fun small beaker glasses. I got the Bruto Sour which I was excited about since it's not too common to see a NY sour on the menu. They performed the wine pour table side which was a great experience. We went with appetizers, the burrata that was served with a fantastic roasted leek side. The wagyu burger was flavorful, juicy and delicious. The restaurant has a great vibe, modern and minimal yet cozy and intimate. I'd like to come back to try everything on the cocktail menu and try some more food items!
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant is located in the previous China grill
This restaurant is located in the previous China grill location. Place was nicely renovated with background house/lounge music that does not overpower one's conversation at the table. Ordered the octopus ceviche(amazing) and empanadas(spinach, in my opinion, was way better than the meat). For main course, we had the Chilean sea bass which was perfectly cooked, buttery, and simply delicious. The petite filet was also flavorful and cooked as ordered. As for side dishes we had the Brussels sprouts and the fries which were ok, but not great and would not definitely recommend as the rest of the dishes. Overall, an enjoyable experience, nice ambiance, and good food
Be the first to ReplyOut-standing service in a beautiful setting.
This restaurant is an Argentinian-Italian fusion. I listened to my server and ordered a steak that melted in my mouth and was bursting with flavor. Expensive but the quality is there. Great music and a nice tropical vibe without feeling too turista.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for a Saturday night dinner.
Ambiance and decor is nice. It is hot as even indoor seating is open so it's almost like you're outside. Now for the food go for the burrata it was amazing!!!! The steak was good asWell the octopus was just ok. Overall a nice night drinks were good too bill for two came out to just over $200 typical Miami dinner prices
Be the first to ReplyIt was a little hard to get to since it was further away
It was a little hard to get to since it was further away from the beach and attractions. I really enjoyed the interior decor/environment and the bar area was very Miami. The food was, however, just average to me. Their menu didn't have many options. I found the chicken to be dry, the steak too charcoally, and the pasta came with only baby shrimps (tiny). The Brussels sprouts, which we didn't photograph, were my favorites.
