Orno is a beautiful restaurant.
The food is delicious and the attention to detail is amazing. Upscale dining and varied dishes to please all the pallets. Service is very good.
Be the first to ReplyAwesome service.
The food was very tasty and fresh. The visible wood oven is a cool touch. Good cocktails. Called for a last minute Saturday night reservation and they were very accommodating.

We eat here at least twice a month and it always delivers the best service, ambiance, and most importantly top notch food! I love that the menu changes from time to time keeping the favorites and adding seasonal options
Be the first to ReplyWe wanted to eat somewhere close to the Watsco Center
We wanted to eat somewhere close to the Watsco Center because we had an event there on a Saturday night. What a great choice this was!! Other than one small issue- no blue cheese olives for our martinis this place is a solid 5 star!!We had a bunch of little plates to try as much as we could. We started with the grilled octopus which was tender, the spicy tuna tartare had a nice little bite to it; the Venus clam bucatini was delicious with fresh clams in a garlic, spicy white wine sauce. Thank God for the large piece of bread so we didn't leave a drop! We then moved into the wood fired spicy pizza made with Fresno chiles. Yum! Our biggest surprise of the night was the Vidalia Onion Gratin. Omg! The sweet onion is stuffed with Gruyère and some potato and then roasted. Wow!!Makes me wish they were closer to Fort Lauderdale. It was a bit loud in the restaurant but the food and service from James made it all worthwhile. Can't forget about the gnocchi which was sooooo good.

I can't even begin to describe how amazing this place is! Everything on the menu is out of this world! I mean I had a ton of plates and everything was phenomenal. The place is perfect for any occasion. It is definitely a place to take a date. They'll be impressed. The service was of course just as great as the food! I can't wait to go back !
Be the first to ReplyThe food and service were amazing.
We ordered to start the grilled octopus, the tuna tartare and the beet salad. For our entrees we ordered the duck , the lamb chops, the Wagyu steak, the Tile fish , the ricotta gnocchi, the onion gratin, potatoes and mushrooms. All delicious!! The dessert we ordered was the Cookies and cream and Pannacotta .
Be the first to ReplyExcellent and consistent.
The menu evolves enough to dine here weekly and the staff is always warm and welcoming. Chef Niven is gifted and the kitchen is more or less open so the feel of the restaurant is casual and lively. There is a private dining room off to the side of the bar and that can be booked for events or larger groups. Do yourself a favor and put this on your list. Maybe the best new entrant in coral gables in the last couple of years.

We first visited for New Year's dinner and went back today for regular dinner. Everything was just as interesting, delicious, and amazing. The clams were huge and the sauce was perfect. The grilled octopus had a perfect smoky flavor. We had the Tile Fish and the Branzino as our entrees. My husband loved the Tile fish and I loved the Branzino. Weren't even sure what a sun choke was and now we love them. The grilled mushrooms were also wonderful. We had the same lovely server, she got everything right. Her name is Stacey, not Marjorie!!!

Presently surprised! Nestled behind the check in counter at a new hotel is this food haven. So delicious we sat at the chefs table which I highly recommend. Go with an appetite, explore and enjoy! Try and share a little but of everything, you wont regret it! I plan yo go back yo try the fish and the pizza!
Be the first to ReplyUniversally, brunch has a terrible reputation.
Anthony Bourdain famously unmasked this weekend meal popularized by "Sex and The City" for being the one that took the least effort and inspiration from the restaurant staff. Chef Niven Patel seeks to redeem this maligned meal by showing it can serve as a platform to celebrate, elevate and redefine comfort foods. Orno draws inspiration from the Mediterranean with dishes like a respectable Grilled Octopus and vegetarian-friendly, toothy falafels. But, they also look to America to reinterpret dishes like their spectacular version of eggs Benedict that comes with not only a textbook hollandaise, but also the most tender, succulent beef pastrami I've tasted. It was more like a seasoned slice of prime rib than the boring lunch meat restaurants usually peddle. But, let's face it. If you're out for brunch, it's because you want to both catch up with friends and likely nurse a hangover. It's (hopefully) the only meal with a fork in the road where you will either restart the party with the hair of the dog, or you will find the antidote so you can revive and rejoin the living. For the first case, Orno offers the open Moët option. For the second one, anyone who's been to Mexico and overdone it knows there's no better hangover aid than chilaquiles to soak up last night's sins. The version at Orno has lovingly fried totopos bathed in a tangy tomatillo and poblano chile verde. Top it with a poached egg and you're on your way to being on the mend. The restaurant is also big enough to house both the raucous and the convalescent in an attractive, polished, instagrammable setting. I can't wait to see what life dilemmas and solutions dinner has to offer at this fun, lively place that puts the "restore" in restaurant.
Be the first to Replyfor starters, the ambiance is absolutely delightful.
foliage all throughout the dining area really gives the dining a soothing experience. the staff was incredibly friendly; stacy made us feel welcome and well taken care of from start to finish! i ordered the Banana Bread to start (delicious. fluffy. not too sweet. honey butter was BANGIN!), Pastrami Eggs Benedict as the main dish and the guava cream cheese donut to finish.

Food was very good, ambiance was excellent but service did not meet my expectations of such a fine restaurant. We waited over ten minutes to even be acknowledged by a waiter after being seated. Menu is limited with few selections.

This place is so cute! Located in Thesis hotel, I felt like I was in a hidden oasis with plus greens! Bar was beautiful, had a glass of red and a mezcal drink. Service was quick. The beef cheeek parpadelle was so tender and hucy. The spicy tuna tartare was flavorful. Even the bleu cheese and bacon salad was great! I'll definitely be back soon!
Be the first to ReplyThis Chef doesn't disappoint.
. Amazing and Creative food full of flavor and innovation. Location is small but not overly loud as some small restaurants could be. They have a variety of amazing dish's and highly recommend trying the stracciatella.

It is so shameful that, after picking a "nice place" and paying 20% tip (which it is not tip anymore because is included in the bill) you get a poor service. First, I am done with the excuse that restaurants are short of employees. This do not give reasons why I have to keep up with employees killing my Saturday night vibe. I could not even enjoy a coffee in this place because they decided to clean and shot down the coffee machine por the day. We were a table of 6 and, before finishing the dessert all lights were on, the music off, waiters carrying trays and talking out loud bc it was just time to close. It was beyond disrespectful and, for that reason I am not recommending this place nor coming back. PD: food was ok

I have to admit the bar was set high for this place, I had heard many good things about the food. Honestly it wasn't high enough!!! The food was better than I ever imagined. Starting with the many appetizers, which can also double as sides. We were 3 and we shared 3 appetizers. 1 was the octopus..Absolutely perfect! So well cooked and flavorful. 2. Cauliflower, absolutely delicious. 3. Ribs. Very well cooked and fall off the bone tender. Our entrees were 1. Black grouper, it was perfectly cooked and flavorful. 2. Lamb, pretty much a favorite; indescribably good! 3. Picanha. Perfectly cooked and tender (medium rare) For sides we chose the potatoes, tasty and you can never go wrong with potatoes. Finally, the one thing I could've just had to myself, the Gruyère stuffed onion. WOW!!! Yes, it is amazing!!!! A must try. Dessert was a Popcorn S'more. It's a S'more with a popcorn sauce! We visited early on a Sunday (6pm) and it was not crazy full and we got to enjoy Wine O'clock, half priced wine, including champagne Can't wait to go back!!!
Be the first to ReplyService was impeccable, food was amazing.
Stacy was an excellent server, Victor the manager was quite the gentleman. I celebrated my birthday and it was Sublime. Kudos to Chef Niven for again knocking it out of the park.

In California we go to Joe's Crab Shack, this is better than Joe's. Here you really get your money's worth. The food was off the chain the king crab and lobster was succulent spices weren't over bearing. The customer service was great friendly warm and inviting. Will definitely be back when I come to Miami.
Be the first to ReplyGreat dining room and addition to South Gables dining
Great dining room and addition to South Gables dining options. This restaurant has a very cool vibe and nice bar area separated from the dining room. When another restaurant abruptly canceled our group dinner on the day of the event Orno saved the day with a fantastic table for 10. Great wood burning oven options as well. We will definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a beautiful new hotspot here in the heart of coral
What a beautiful new hotspot here in the heart of coral gables just off US1 in the new thesis hotel. I had the pleasure of expecting this restaurant during Valentine's Day weekend. The service was nothing short of excellence. I would like to thank all the staff for ensuring a wonderful experience for my wife and I. We made reservations to sit at the chefs table where we were able to view the Korean staff preparing and cooking meals for guest. We were able to interact with the chefs and exclusively try some appetizers that currently were not on the menu. There isn't anything on this menu you could go wrong with. If available please ask to try the roasted sunflower seed.! Sounds crazy but it's delicious and has a similar texture to a soft potato. Other items we ordered were: Australian Lamb ChopsBanana FosterCheese Stuffed OnionFlat Iron SteakGrilled OctopusHeirloom Tomatoes. Go check this restaurant out if you haven't had the opportunity to.

Orno was absolutely wonderful! From the atmosphere, look, service, food and wine. We really enjoyed this meal and really loved to support a new restaurant. Orno was already so busy on a Wednesday night, so that means that the food is awesome, which it was! Service was on point from the whole team they have at Orno. We shared a bottle of wine that was delicious and their wine selection was very nice with varying prices for any budget. Now the food was delicious, I highly recommend the Vadouvan cauliflower and the octopus. - we could have ordered multiple ones from how delicious it was. The lamb chops were so delicious that I left the bone clean, along with the onion gratin. Our table also had the Branzino which was also spectacular and very flavorful. To end your night do yourself a favor and order the popcorn s'more, and honestly one per person because it's that good you'll want more. All in all it was a perfect experience and I highly recommend Orno!

One of my favorite Chef's!! Took my family here for a meal and 1 round of drinks. 5 adults and a 5 year old. Totally blown away by the bill. Meal was easily over 100$ a person and some of us shared. Lesson learned. There is much much better value in the area. Only dish we were talking about glowingly after the dinner was the Onion. The rest of the meal was forgettable unfortunately.

If there was a star rating of 100, that's what I'd rate this restaurant! How can I begin?... well our server Yaidan was such a knowledgeable server. Every single dish that he recommended my friends and I loved. I fell IN LOVE with the Stracciatella, it was such an exquisite taste. I felt like all the flavors were just exploding in my mouth!! The tomatoes that came with the dish were so fresh and delicious, and I'm not even a tomato fan! I also had the grilled octopus, and the Spicy Penne as my main course, and A M A Z I N G. Now moving on to dessert which we had two, the Popcorn S'more and Toasted Olive Oil cake that Yaidan once again had recommended us. I loved the Toasted Olive Oil cake, DIVINE! If you're planning to visit this restaurant don't walk, RUN and request to be seated with Yaidan because you won't regret it!
Be the first to ReplyFrom entrance to exit this place was top notch.
I made a reservation on Resy, which is a great app to start because it reminds you many times on your phone when your reservation is approaching. I made an early reservation for the "chefs table" and man was it worth it. I was quickly greeted and seated by the front staff. Super polite and nice. Our waiter JP was amazing. He quickly offered us water and waited for my date to return. We got to try the burger just in time. It was super juicy and good. We started with the Stracciatella and grilled octopus which was so so good! The Stracciatella was my favorite plate of the night. I ended up eating the picanha with the onion au gratin. The onion was superb along with the steak. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare and delicious. The sundried tomato sauce was superb and added extra flavor to the steak. We also got to try a very deliciously cooked sunchoke which we have never tried before. Wow. It was so good! We will never forget this restaurant for introducing to us this new food. So good!We ended up have a pistachio dessert which was phenomenal. Def a must try restaurant and one I will be looking forward to returning.
