Celebratory Sunset Drinks & Nibbles
We visited here while we were on holiday, from the UK! Situated on the top of the Line hotel, this place is ideal for sunset/alfresco drinks and nibbles. This would be an amazing place to watch the Bats, but unfortunately for us, it wasn't the right season. We ordered, 2 Carajillos, Hummus, Patatas Bravas and Pitta. We were also given 2 free glasses of champagne as we got engaged on this trip, this was a lovely touch. We love the ambience of P6 which was quite laid back and chic. We would definitely recommend for drinks and nibbles if you're looking for a nice rooftop bar, we found the sunset spectacular, so try and time it right as to when you book!

Out for evening stroll and decided to walk about the line hotel because we have never been in here .. it has a fun vibe from the trail looking onto pool And the 6th floor restaurant overlooking town lake /congress bridge is key . The hotels 70s vintage is kitschy but cleaned up decently well.. Veracruz tacos and arlo gray hip Libby bar. Ceiling is all a little Flinstonian ..slowest oldest rickety elevator that needs an extra beat just to open to get to P6, patio views from congress up To Rainey.. breeze and casual so we liked that. good bat viewing spot in July/Aug. bats are gone in Mexico soon and they really don’t fly the rest of the 6 months they are under Congress . Flapping orange flags and rattan furniture make the outdoor space fun, but AC roof units/ smoke from downstairs kitchen.. hmm..it’s not perfect . Smoke seems to kill off bugs tho so that’s good? Inside bar Up here is coool . Patatas braves yes, beet humus feta cucumber thing-little too much kick.. took a long time to be noticed , then get water which was bad no lemon TX water that doesn’t taste good.. no ice tea refill.. just slow and not interested. We would’ve ordered more bebidas and edibles but no one cared. . I like taking friends on. Retro boat..this would be perfect before sunset before boat instead of 4 seasons as it’s less stuffy and a younger crowd .

The atmosphere and view can’t be beat. We made reservations at P6 to maybe see the the bats at the bridge below us but the food would be a reason to return. The tapas plates were extremely flavorful and interesting. Our server, Todd confirmed our choices and was attentive. On a very hot day and evening in the 90s, P6 was shaded with fans and misters to add more comfort.
Be the first to ReplyGood view of bats, good drinks, but don't go for the food
We went here with a family group of 7 to watch the bats fly from the bridge. The drinks were good, and the caesar salads were good, but not really any good food for the kids, aged 10 & 12. We tried the meat and cheese platters, but the meats had too much hot sauce poured over them to make them palatable for anyone in our group. I did love the raspberry sherbert with prosecco however. We had a good view of the bats and felt very fancy being downtown at night, but I wouldn't do dinner there again and wouldn't take kids.
Be the first to ReplyGreat views & great food :)
Tasty food & nice presentation. Very attentive and friendly wait staff. Plus a great view to watch the sun set and the bats depart from under Congress bridge!
Be the first to ReplyA fantastic and stylish observatory for the bats!
We wanted some good observation for watching the bats, and P6 (a terrace bar) was a great spot. You have to have a reservation. We were promptly seated, and the view over Congress Ave bridge is great. Staff was very welcoming, and we only ordered drinks--food menu looked good albeit limited and pricey. A lot of patrons seem to be like us, there in time for watching the bats. Then, most left. Like us.

Horrible hostess and staff they canceled our reservation last minute. This is not the place to go if you are in Austin.
Be the first to ReplyHorrbile service and managment
We made a birthday reservation 2 months in advance they called to cancel it last minute. The managment was rude about it too.

Stayed at The Line which is an awesome place in itself. Decided to go to P6 for the view and some drinks. Our waiter Tyler was just straight up freaking awesome it was Sunday and the wine and Old Fashion were spot on the bar tenders know their stuff. Tyler’s recommendations were spot on a great place for drinks with a view. The food was really really good.
Be the first to ReplySuper cool vibe and great view.. Go at sunset to see the bats.
Eclectic vibe - outdoor seating overlooking the water... Food was good but not a huge menu. Service was great! Make a reservation in advance!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food
We had made reservations as suggested by everyone we talked to. After taking awhile to accommodate us it took forever to get drink service (I felt bad, as they seemed to be VERY short staffed) The food was very good and unique. We liked the creative and different cheese boards.

Hostess was talking on her cell phone when we came. Told us that we had to be gone in 30 minutes if we wanted to sit outside. Took us to a table where the sun was blinding (not her fault). We asked to be moved to another table and because of that the server said she would come back later. Hostess sat every table around us, and then said the only available one was inside…. Which was not true (unless the one in front of us was reserved) but if she had come back before seating 7 other parties it wouldn’t have been fine. So we stayed and our server didn’t come back we had to order through a busser. Who didn’t actually take our order and had to reorder after stopping our server to ask for drinks. Then had to flag someone else down for our check who didn’t bring it…. So we had to ask again. We were there for 45 minutes (longer than the limit that we were told) only because we couldn’t get service. Then had auto 19% gratuity for some of the worst service…. Not my first time here and I’m always treated badly.
Be the first to ReplyNice view, not much else.
Nice view.
Unfortunately it is supported by THE angriest staff I have ever encountered in the hospitality space.
Terse, dubiously officious, and just plain rude.
If you don't like your job, then quit.
Don't show up and punish everyone around you because you are unhappy.
Always Delicious
The food and cocktails in P6 are so good! My husband is a Chef and he's very particular about certain dishes so if he gave two thumbs up to P6, it's definitely worth it. The cashew & chili oil hummus with fresh pita... amazing! Reasonably-priced plates and cocktails with beautiful views of Downtown & Town Lake... highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyYou pay just for view
You pay for view and that’s it. Food is nothing. Very greasy and over seasoned, overpriced for food “quality “. Our server was too busy even check on us. Looks like he was only one serving. Hispanic girl from kitchen brought food and give quick explanation. Drinks are very weak so don’t expect to get any buzzed. Bassers was doing all job for waiter, and you get 18% gratuity on check plus 3% COVID fee.
Be the first to ReplyYou must buy food (regardless of you drink tab)...but menu is sparse
Nice view of the bats leaving the bridge at sunset. 5 of us traveling fore business staying there at the line hotel. Needed some dinner. The menu was unimpressive. Entrees are basically appetizers, so we decided to just have a few drinks and go elsewhere for dinner. Though we had racked up about an 80 dollar bar tab, the waitress informed us that we must buy food to stay....wth? So we ordered some bread and eggplants hummus. It was ok.

I took my girlfriend for a date night, and made reservation in advance. We had a perfect seat, and the atmosphere was perfect. Servers were lovely and knowledgeable, and drinks were wonderful! However, food was lackluster at best. I am a huge fan of the Line hotel and am obsessed with Arlo Grey, which P6 can't hold a candle to. Go for the drink and the ambiance, eat somewhere else.
Be the first to ReplyGreat settings, great food
Great settings, just make sure you book ahead to sit outside. Very hygiene focused with digital menus & thorough wipe downs between guests. I loved my mimosas and bacon and eggs - pork belly, sambal, watermelon, sunflower seeds. An unlikely combo but epic. Would go back!
Be the first to ReplyLocation. Great. Good cocktails.
Location. Great. Good cocktails. That’s it. Food and staff unremarkable. People say go to see the bats at sunset. Can’t really see the bats from here. Have a drink and sunset view and then walk around the corner on Congress to look over the river and see the bats. Fun combo.
