We came here as a recommendation at JW Marriott South Beach.
We were looking for seafood with a fine dining feel. We have a 6-month old granddaughter with us so that kind of limited our options. Situated at One Fullerton, perfect spot for dinner with a good view of Marina Sands Bay hotel and just next to the Merlion. The restaurant was packed and couldn't get a reservation until 8 PM. But it was worth the wait. We tried every dish in our list of recommendations and more. Each and every dish was delectable. We especially loved the honey tangy fish, Spain black pork loin, and of course, the crabs! The service was excellent. It was on the pricey side but well worth it!
Be the first to ReplyWaitress asked if it was our first time.
It was. Spoke Mandarin to seemingly pigeonhole us as tourists. We asked about chili crab market pricing for 2 people (one person in our party did not eat crab). We were told it was SG$440 per kilo. Or SG$880 for 2 kilos (US$643), their smallest crab. We were incredulous. We asked 3 times the price as confirmation, and she said it's expensive. We did not order. We have since asked everyone locally and was told the pricing was ridiculous and we should file a complaint with the tourist board.
Be the first to ReplyNice views.
You're mainly here for the views or the chili crab. Ok service. They kept forgetting to bring water and accidentally brought different drinks! Brought alcohol even though we never ordered it. Lots of dishes to try. Nice outdoor seating.
Be the first to Replyhigh end prices along with the view and location.

Be the first to ReplyMy husband was very excited to introduce me to Chili crab
My husband was very excited to introduce me to Chili crab as he had been to Singapore several times on business and had enjoyed the dish at several locales. Our concierge at Intercontinental had recommended Palm Beach as a higher end place with an easier commute in comparison to the places on the east coast. The view was great but our experience after that was not. There was first confusion with our drink order, which was not a big deal except that our drink server took the incorrect drink that I had already tasted and gave it to a guest two tables down. We ordered the chili crab at $160 Singapore dollars, the buns and two side dishes. The flavor of the sauce was tasty but there was almost no meat in the legs and the claw that I had was empty. There was a hole in the side of the claw and no meat in it. The other claw had meat that my husband shared with me. If I am lucky enough to return to Singapore, chili crab will not be on my list of must haves.

As a Singapore first timer, it was in Important for me to track down and devour some world famous Chili Crab. I did some research and had a few places on my list, but being a first timer and wanting the best possible experience I chose Palm Beach so I could enjoy my meal with a view. It's perfectly situated across the bay from Marina Bay Sands, and right next to Merlion Park. The views were spectacular, and even got to see the Marina Bay Sands light show twice while dining, incredible. Food wise I ordered what I came for, Chili Crab along with some Palm Beach Noodles and a Mango Breeze Cocktail. When they bring out plastic gloves, wet naps, and a bib - that should be a warning for the carnage to come.. this meal was the messiest experience of my life. It was a fight for each morsel of meat, but once I got my bites in I was not disappointed. The noodles were also delish but heed my warning - the portions are no joke. The small would feed 3 people.I ate alone, and was served a meal for 4, at a price for 4. Overall pretty good. If I paid $50 I would give it 5 stars but for one person it was incredibly overpriced and under eaten.

Came here specifically for the chili crab and left loving the pepper crab even more. I have no basis of comparison to other dishes of Singaporean fame, but Palm's chili crab and pepper crab were absolutely phenomenal. The crab was of the highest quality and cooked to perfection, not to mention the ginormous size of 'em. The chili "sauce" was super flavorful; I wish I could've boxed it up and tossed it with some pasta. The pepper crab also deserves its glory as well. The flavor was quite pronounced from the locally sourced pepper. The downside was the price, but when in Rome (Singapore), am I right?I would suggest only sitting outside, where there are beautiful views of the Lion fountain, the water, and Marina Bay Sands. The inside is nothing to write home about.

Our family of four came here for Christmas dinner on the recommendation of our concierge and we were disappointed. After being seated we waited over 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge us before my husband finally went over to ask the hostess if someone could take our order. The food was mediocre at best. The duck was dry, the crab did not taste good. The seafood rice was the best dish, it was flavorful. Our waiter did not check on us at all throughout the meal, no plates were cleared. No one asked how things were or if we needed anything else. Every time we needed something we had to flag down someone who was walking by. The meal was almost $400 and they had the audacity to add $3.20 to the tab for the wet wipes they left on the table. This is a high end restaurant? I would not recommend this place. Poor service, meh food, petty extra charges.

Palm beach seafood has been in busines for over fifty years and is a great choice if you are looking for eating some classic Singapore seafood dishes like the chili crab. The restaurant has both indoor and out door seating. I would recommend grabbing a seat outside if you can as the view of the Marina and MBS is really great. The price can get quite expensive especially if you order the crab dishes. The food quality is good and you won't be disappointed with the food. Food: 4 starsEnvironment: 4 starsService: 3.5 starsValue: 3.5 starsOverall: 4 starsRecommendations: chili crab, fried rice, fried almond prawns, white pepper crabI came here for a work function and had the good furtive of being able to try the white pepper, black pepper and chili crabs. I was too busy eating the white pepper crab to take a picture and that is an indication to me that it was my favorite of the three. However, they were all pretty good and this is one of the better chili crabs I have had in Singapore. It is definitely better than no signboard or red house for chili crab. The other dishes were all really good and I liked pretty much everything that was ordered. The fried rice is superb, the prawn and vermicilli soup was also really nice. Definitely a place to go for a seafood meal if you are in Singapore.
Be the first to ReplyGood Chili Crab.
Pretty mild in spice level. The fried buns were some of the best I tasted. Fried golden crisp with a nice level of sweetness and soft in the middle. Could have been dessert with a sweet sauce in the side. The chicken satay was good and so often it is SG. Overall an enjoyable meal.

I've never received such awful service! We waited 30m for them to give us our table (we had a reservation), and then we had to wait another 30m for the waiters to ask us for drinks. After about an hour of waiting we had to signal a waitress to come and take our order and as she was going around the table she left! The waitress left our table and we had to call her back to finish writing down our orders. The food was lackluster as the meat was tough and bland. The rice came in cold with almost no flavor. My children will be visiting Singapore soon, I will tell them to avoid this waste of a view!
Be the first to ReplyOne of the more worthwhile "splurge" meals in Singapore.
If you get a seat outside around 8pm you will have a nice view of the light show at the marina. We got 1x black pepper crab and 1x crab a la singapura. They were around 1.6kg each and cost ~130 USD each. The black pepper crab was really good and personally I prefer it over the more popular chili crab. The singapura crab is this weird grilled cheesy buttery thing that was good but for most people I think going with 1 chili crab and 1 black pepper crab would be the way to go. My advice is just get two crabs and no rice or sides. Eat the crabs here and if you are still hungry there are tons of restaurants and hawker stalls nearby to try other food.
Be the first to ReplyNot the best chili crab and the crab was very big.
Meat was super flaky and the gravy just lacked the flavor profile i was looking for. It had a very subtle tomato flavor but lacked the sweetness and acidity that tomato sauce has. There also wasnt much spice to it like what? Also the crab meat was definitely not worth the price. The meat came out in flaky bits and lacked the characteristic sweetness that good crab has. They at least had the mantou but since the AC runs very high in the restaurant the food becomes cold very fast. What a shame. I have had better at mellbem and engseng. If you are looking for good chili crab i would either recommend you give this place a pass or you consider making sure the crab they choose is a little smaller. Restaurant also has an odd off seafood smell at least that is what i can tell.

Very bad experience, chilli crab was cold, tasted really salty and way over priced. I had much better experience at any other chilli crab restaurants in Singapore. It is a tourist trap, stay away and eat elsewhere!!!
