Parlour x Taste Film Experience
1000% worth the hype! Visited parlour to attend the taste film showing of ratatouille and was more than worth the 4 hour to get there! Food was to die for, cocktails were amazing - I had the veggie options and was very tasty! I attended alone and was made to feel more than welcome, can’t thank the parlour and taste film staff enough for the amazing experience! My only gripe is parking - it’s a nightmare! However this is pretty standard around London - you can get 3 hours free at the Sainsbury’s down the road or park for 4 hours at the side of the road via PayByPhone.

What a great little find. So glad a friend of ours recommended a visit here! The roast was excellent and so tasty, my friends really enjoyed their roast as well. It had a good atmosphere nice and warm. our waiter Aron was outstanding and great recommendation with the sticky toffee and we all loved his quote there’s always room for dessert, made us all laugh as it was something my grandfather always use to say. All the staff looked really nice and friendly and I'll definitely be back.

Be the first to ReplyGood food appalling acoustic.
I have been visiting The Parlour for years. It certainly serves the best food in Kensal Rise. Indeed the chef used to cook at The Mall Tavern in Notting Hill and i visited that location many times. Last Saturday I went there with my sons as it was my birthday. We were located in the main Resturant room where there was a large table with over 20 people on it. We asked to go somewhere quieter but were told the main body of the Pub had been taken over for a Private Party. The noise was so bad even the waiters found it difficult to take our Order but despite this they did a great job. The evening was a disappointment. It was like having a meal in a football stadium. The noise worse than anything I have ever had to deal with in a Pub or Restaurant. If the Parlour wants people to return , and believe me other guests were annoyed in the same way we were, they need to sort out the acoustic and perhaps think about having fewer large parties. I will not be returning.

The staff were supercilious and seemed totally disinterested. The food was mediocre. Difficult to understand how they got it so wrong given the association with No.6, one of our favourite restaurants.
Be the first to ReplyAccommodating. Friendly. First class service. We turned up on a Sunday lunchtime without a booking still served thanks !
We turned up no booking table still found for six people gorgeous brunch served quickly the place runs like clockwork thank you for a great experience!!
Be the first to ReplyLate breakfast
We arrived a without a booking and little too late for the breakfast menu, but asked for it on the off chance. Lorenzo, was awesome, he went straight to the kitchen to see, 15 minutes later our group had a vegetation, a vegan, and 4 excellent standard breakfasts! Excellent, attentive service, and great value.

These guys know how to throw a party. Sister in laws 40th went swimmingly. Nice Prosecco on arrival - nice & light on the palate. Plenty of time to chat & meet folks. Starters were amazing. The duck pate profiteroles were something else - real flavour explosion. Little cylinders of smoked salmon were v v tasty. Caviar on thin bread so good (latter served on the thin edge of a plank - not so sure about that). Popcorn chicken nuggets were fresh and tasty. Nicely served on a bed of popcorn as well. And the Hummus was beautifully done. All that was just the starters for sharing !! The cow pie main was good. I should have ordered chips as it just needed something to set off its richness. In fairness though I was fair stuffed by that stage. Son had the chicken Kiev which was spherical ! Also came with a slab of hash brown. Needless to say he demolished it. AND THEN….there was also dessert. Wife and son loved the rice pud with elderflower jelly. “Best pudding ever”. That is decidedly not my poison. But the 5 flavours of arctic roll were something else. Burst of delight on the palate which each one. Chocolate caramels were also stunning. Service was great all the way through - really felt looked after. Kept the beer flowing as well - our lager mainly. Nice pint. Lovely setting in the room. The outdoor space is nicely done as well. Lovely meal. Great party !
Be the first to ReplyGreat brunch and cocktails
A fantastic spot with friendly staff, great food and delicious cocktails. We enjoyed the bread basket, the full English and the salmon alongside some Bloody Marys and the house spritz. Hope you enjoy as much as we did!
Be the first to ReplyRelaxed atmosphere, fantastic staff
Sunday lunch, a few mishaps, nothing major. Their complementary soda bread is amazing. Had the sharing roast (chicken, beef, pork, lamb with all the trimmings). Was okay, not the best Sunday lunch but the variety was good, not a pork lover but their pork was really good, crackling amazing. I think what stood out for me at the Parlour is the staff, lots of them and all very attentive. Not intrusive and I felt that they genuinely wanted us to enjoy our experience. Really nice people as mentioned above, a few mishaps that were dealt with, saying that, we were respectful in letting them know and they were equally respectful in resolving our issues. Thought overall is was good value for money. The staff make this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyWe had the most fantastic night!
Attended The Parlour Quiz last night - still buzzing.
An evening of fabulous food, superb cocktails, lovely staff and an absolutely hilarious and well run quiz. Everyone sang along with the music round and it ended with a well known Instagram Influencer dancing on the table in a dance off for a tie!
Will be back, love The Parlour, love making new friends - loving London x
Sunday roast
Big fan of this place usually, but we went on Sunday and had a roast dinner that was really quite underwhelming.
Firstly, it was brought out way to quick, we had just poored a glass of wine and just been served the bread, it would be nice to have 15 minutes to have enjoyed that but the dinner came out super quick.
Secondly, the sides were great but the meat was not, I had chicken which was very tough, it tasted frozen either than or it was just very cheap , given how much it cost I would expect decent chicken! I didn't eat most if it which I rarely do.
Lastly, considerating the tiny amount you get, the price of a side of cabbage is ridiculous!
The staff are fabulous, as is the venue, but sadly I definitely wouldn't go recommend for a roast.
Great wine though!
Relaxing and dining in Parlour
Excellent, friendly service. Fantastic food served piping hot. Scoot Bloody Mary’s and then deserts.(I couldn’t eat it, but looked great)
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding Sunday lunch, great setting and buzzing atmosphere - a hard one to beat around NW London.
Fabulous afternoon at the Parlour, the Guinness was flowing, the staff super tentative, excellent service and goes without saying the star of the show was the specular Sunday Roast sharing plate for 4 people. Beautiful, Beef, Pork, Chicken, Lamb with Horseradish freshly grated onto your plate, home made Mint sauce, Apple sauce, pot of hot steaming Gravy, scrumptious Potatoes, Red Cabbage, Greens and Carrots. A triumph and wouldn't have been achieved without the excellent staff service, friendly atmosphere and excellent cooking. We will be back to be sure!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Sunday Roast, fantastis staff, highly recommend
Group of 7 of us booked in for a Sunday roast, the beef was lovely (rare, unlike a lot of places that serve it medium rare), amazing portion size. Really great attentive staff. It was my partner's birthday and they made a great fuss of him despite it being really busy. Lovely atmosphere. We were not rushed from our table. Can't wait to go again, the menus looks great! Very good value!
Be the first to ReplyOver-priced, underwhelming
Slightly baffled by some of the good reviews for this place. Maybe I was there on a bad night so I’ll start with the positives: the staff were certainly friendly and attentive by London pub standards.
The vibe is definitely a busy one with lots of noise and bustle so I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a relaxing evening.
The main problem though is the food. I had the chicken Kiev, which comes as a ball of chicken on top of a (greasy) hash brown and literally dry coleslaw. It’s a really basic meal, a small portion for a main and not particularly well executed ( the chicken was really dry) for £20!! There’s just no way of justifying anything close to that price for this meal. My friend had the cow pie which apparently was slightly better but so salty she only got half way through it.
Overall, very disappointing.
Gorgeous little out of the way setting with amazing food
Amazing food, a real hidden gem. With fantastic staff. Booked via truly (though I understand they’re not doing those packages anymore) but had an unlimited bubbles brunch. Incredibly good quality food, beautifully cooked and nicely presented. Lovely atmosphere with a warm and friendly welcome. We will certainly be back!
Be the first to ReplyA memorable celebration dinner at Parlour
My partner and I had our wedding celebration dinner at Parlour with several of our friends recently and could not fault any aspect of it. We were so impressed by how attentive and friendly all of the staff were. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food from the sharing menu was unique, plentiful and delicious and the atmosphere out back is lovely on a sunny day. We can not thank Jasmin and the other staff enough for making our wedding dinner so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back and will not hesitate to recommend Parlour to others in the future!
Be the first to ReplyA little oasis in a Kensal side street - nice decor, nice staff
If you were not looking for the sign you would think this was ‘The Grey Horse’ because the branding is not as clear as the pub’s large writ original sign. That being said the decor inside and in garden is great.
Staff are friendly, polite and helpful and overall I enjoyed my lunch there but would not recommend the Desperate Dan Pie, which I so wanted because of my memories of The Dandy. the lack of cow horns and cow tail protruding from the dish was a very minor omission, I never really expected it. The pie looks different and quite intriguing, described as ‘hearty’ by the server, it is indeed a full meal and I finished it off but would not have it again and would not recommend it - at least not as served. The heart of the pie was delicious, the meat, mushrooms etc cooked to perfection with a rich sauce. Unfortunately I did not enjoy the suet crust or the radioactive looking green breadcrumb , parsley and marrow ball in the centre - both detracted from the excellence of the meat and the breadcrumb mix was almost cheesy in taste and far too strong and overpowering. The size of the pie was fine. The idea is not bad…will make my own version at home because with a few little changes it would be excellent - but then who am I to tell a fine dining chef what I think?
Beer…top marks for an excellent Voodoo IPA even if at £6.50 a pint it was a bit hefty . The pie was £19.50 which buys you a whole cow in Yorkshire and a pint of John Smiths, still I bought another beer because it was nice and a very hot day.
I will go again, mainly because of decor and staff and also to try a few other things from the menu.
Great atmosphere in first weekend since Covid easing
We visited on the first Friday since allowed to eat inside. The restaurant was busy. The food was lovely, as was the atmosphere. It must be hard to get back into things if you’ve been closed for almost 2 years... Considering this they were doing a really good job. Although the service wasn’t quick, they were aware, and doing a great job.
