Fantastic food-wine and friendly service
Excellent and very creative food, wine pairing (we went for the local wine pairing) was outstanding and very well selected to accompany the dishes.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best vegan menus we’ve ever had!
One of the best vegan menus we’ve ever had. Nothing about it was ordinary. We really appreciated that there was a very clear star ingredient in every dish and we got to taste it in so many different ways. The ambient of the restaurant was very minimalist (which is a good thing in our opinion). The staff were very friendly and helped us have a very good time. All-in-all an amazing experience not to miss!

Delightful experience, creative proposals, top notch service. We had 2 different menus, the Garden and the Pasztell - really creative and well assembled, beautifully presented. Don’t understand why it does not have a star already. Definitely recommend.

The dinner I had with a friend in Pasztell is undoubtedly one of my best dinners ever had on planet Earth.
Enough said.
Excellent
Excellent gastronomy, friendly and knowledgeable staff, a beautiful interior design; it all comes perfectly together at Pasztell restaurant. The cuisine is Hungarian/Italian with a twist, dishes are delicious, exciting and beautifully created. The wine pairing matches perfectly and brings another dimension to the food; besides a few save choices also here some nice ones outside the paved roads (e.g. a dessert wine paired with the appetizer). If you are a fan of fine dining in Budapest, don't miss Pasztell!

We came across Pasztell as a recommendation from our hotel concierge at the Aria. When it came time for dinner, my husband and I were so jet lagged and considered skipping dinner to sleep. I am SO glad we drank our coffee and went, Pasztell was absolutely wonderful.
It truly rivaled many of the 2 star Michelin experiences we have in California, and I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before Pasztell gets their star (note, they are already on the Michelin Guide!). I had the Garden while my husband had the Pasztell. Both were incredible. Service was great and they were very attentive to all their patrons. The restaurant is small but elegant. If you do make reservations here, please do not cancel last minute as they only have a small number of tables to really ensure everyone has a good experience. If you are into gastronomy and looking for an elevated experience, give Pasztell a try
Nearly exceptional!!
Exceptional cuisine served by friendly and very knowledgeable staff in a quiet unassuming establishment.
Would have been a 5 * but for the charging policy re champagne as an appetiser and then including another in the advanced wine pairing - who wants two glasses of bubbles before a near Michelin starred dinner and be charged for the one we declined - felt like We had been conned!!
Beautiful interior decor, nice food and warm service
This is a gorgeous restaurant with an open kitchen, and lots of creative artwork and interior decor pieces. The food was really good too. Some dishes were better than others - for instance, the dessert of poppy seed potato noodles was actually really creatively reinvented and delicious, but the starter miso beef soup was slightly bland and the miso did not really come through. The service though, was totally top notch and a special shoutout to the waiters who were very friendly and outgoing. The wines were also very well priced and really good. Overall, 5 stars. This place started operating months before the pandemic and recently reopened, so no doubt they are on their way to a michelin star.

Hungarian dishes with some modern/refined twist. Loved the atmosphere, the service, the dishes; the duck liver, the rabbit were really good.
Guess soon they will probably get a Michelin star.
