Peacefood Uptown New York Reviews from The Last Year
Upper west side delight
With plenty of seating this is a great place to stop for just coffee or a fine lunch. There’s a tantalizing assortment of baked goods.
Limited offerings - some good
We liked our meals at Peacefood Uptown . They were the only dishes that looked at all appealing on the menu, and we were glad they were good. The bean and kale soup was very good, tasty and hearty. The quinoa salad was OK. Fairly good. I love vegetables and can have full meals of them. Somehow this menu reminded me of stark macrobiotic and old style 1950’s vegetarian restaurants on the vein of let’s have meals that seem like meat dishes with ersatz meat. We went with friends who are vegan and like that type of food. With so much good food in the area, we won’t be back. I had soup and salad ($17). My companion had a bowl of soup, which she found filling. Two hours later we were both foraging for food at home.
Great Food and Service!
The food here is so good! The menu has many options. The wait staff is very freindly and attentive. The portions are a good size. I liked it so much on my NYC visit I went twice. The second time I ate here, a verbally aggressive woman entered the restaurant and went from table to table panhandling. I later learned she does this often. I know the panhandling happens when dining outside in NYC but it was my 1st time encountering it inside a restaurant.

I have some reservations coming up tomorrow that have gotten lots of views but haven’t sold yet. I haven’t made a sale yet since I just joined this week. I keep lowering the price, but am worried they won’t sell. How long did it take you to sell your first reservations? And did you have success being reimbursed by AT for no-show or cancellation fees? Just looking for a little reassurance. Thanks!

You should probably cancel prior to the cancellation date per the cancellation policy. I would imagine you would only get reimbursed for a sold listing if you happen to be charged?

My first sale took about a week. But as the other commenter said stay ontop of your cancellation windows. There’s no reimbursement for those so make sure you cancel in time then just try again.
