Be the first to ReplyOutstanding Italian restaurant
Excellent Italian restaurant in a great neighbourhood, atmosphere on a Saturday night is brilliant ( table at window upstairs with a view of world trade centre if you can ) and food is outstanding a personal favourite is crostini to start and main course the steak and to finish with the best cheesecake Iโve ever had, been coming here for our Saturday night out for yearโs cannot recommend enough.

Nice little Italian restaurant to stop for a lunch or just a class of vine. Friendly and fast service. A bit challenging place for people with difficulties to move.

This was not our first visit as we have been infrequent fans for ten years. I think what came out this time is how friendly the staff is. To get superb quality Tuscan food with no pretensions is the best of all. I am not a soup eater but theirs are amazing. The octopus is a treat. I could go on and on. Prices have stayed reasonable by NYC standards.

Be the first to ReplyFantastic Dinner
Coming from Scotland it was novel to be able to sit out after 8pm in October for dinner so we were off to a good start. Had passed earlier in the day and thought it looked lovely so booked a table online for that evening. It was even better at night with lots of fairy lights. As it was our last night in NYC so we wanted to relax after much rushing about. My husband and I both had pasta, his was seafood and mine, rabbit. Both were great, as was the accompanying bread. Our wine was lovely but the star of the show was the cheesecake, best either of us has ever had. Also special mention to our waiter, Ernesto, who was charming and helpful. Thoroughly enjoyable evening.

food was very good. staff were polite and helpful. nice atmosphere. also upstairs dining as well as outside.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent as always
We visit New York City every few years to take in a Broadway show and when looking for a good Italian restaurant, we always seem to end up at Pepolino's. The waiters are very attentive - almost hovering over you to make sure your water glass is kept full, but that is a minor complaint. The bread is delicious! The highlight was the special of the day, a grilled pork chop in a delicious sauce accompanied by roast potatoes. We always enjoy Pepolino's and I am sure we will visit again.

Average food.and more than mediocre service. Not worth the gratuity imposed. Will not be coming back not recommending. Stay away!
Be the first to ReplyBeen coming here for over 10 years and it is always great!
Love the atmosphere inside or outside, don't miss the Ricotta cheesecake. Glad they survived the pandemic!!

Went here on the recommendation of a local and were not steered wrong. They were quite busy on a Saturday night so had to wait a short while for our table even with a reservation. The inside area was cramped and closely packed with diners so we were glad we had requested outside. Service was a bit slow, but the food was quite good, with generous portions. We enjoyed the rabbit, the spinach gnocchi, and pasta with leeks, as well as a salad. Prices (especially for the wine) seemed high, even for New York. We had a great people watching table outside and thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Be the first to ReplyManagment throws away long time customers for a larger party
We have been customers eating at this restaurant multiple times per year for more than 15 years including New Years Eve 2014-2019
Showed up to our reservation to find they discarded us because they had a larger party for the outdoor space they reserved for us. No one called and they basically did not care. Too many good restaurants in NYC to be tested so poorly.
Be careful they donโt value repeat diners.

lovely meal al fresco on a summer night
staff was great with our 11 year-old...terrific people watching from the sidewalk and great food. cocktails were tasty as well.

I never leave a negative review, but this time felt compelled to do it.
Food is mediocre at best. Pasta was overcooked (the worst comment one can leave about an Italian restaurant). Calamari and shrimp, bland. $13 bottle of Chianti peddled for $72, have never seen a crazier mark up. Asked for a desert on the menu, was brought a different one. Asked why, was told that they don't have the other one, but this one is good too?! It might very well be, but to bring a substitute dish without asking is quite a faux pas for a respectable place. To top it off: a party of 5, tip included, fine, no argument there, but 25%?! Absurd!
Impromptu
The manager made a table for our family, as we arrived without a reservation. The pasta, seafood, calamari, and ricotta cheesecake were the best. We were so happy we took the chance. We only wish we discovered this gem earlier in the trip.
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic trattoria quality and service
The food was wonderful, a very genuine Italian trattoria experience with creative surprises and in a warm and unrushed setting. The service could not have been more kind and thoughtful. The greatest confirming signal is that as we left at 10:30 six young Italians entered enthusiastically speaking Italian and I noted one said in effect: โI love coming here.โ
Be the first to ReplyQuiet, good meal.
This is right across the street from the Hilton Garden Inn and after some loud but delicious meals elsewhere, we opted for a sunday night dinner here.
Very very quiet, gracious service. We had calamari, branzino and a limone pasta.
We sat inside and the windows were open. There is a lovely patio.
I recommend Pepolino for a mellow Italian meal in Tribeca.
