Wow was this place awesome!!! Were a little scared when we walked down the stairs but once we got there we knew we hit a home run. Had a drink by the water while we waited for a table. Had some great food and incredible service. I've already recommended this place to a friend.
I prefer a few years ago.
Now it is a instagram spot!! Too crowded with tourists! Great for visitors less great for locals!
Not worth it
Although this is in a prime location with a great view, the food took 2-1/2 hours to get to our table. When it did finally arrive it was awful. I’d rather eat at McDonald’s. Terrible service also. Instagram tourist trap
Don’t waste your time! Overhyped!
Don’t waste your time! We waited 2 hours to get our food while other people that were in line that sat at near by tables didn’t get there food at all. Ruined our anniversary dinner. This place is overhyped and not even worth the travel and time to spend to get there. Just stay in Lisbon on the other side, there is Doca Da Santo area that has the same exact views, faster to get there, better vibes and great service.

My wife and I were in Lisbon and saw this place on Somebody Feed Phil's Lisbon episode. It is a cool ferry ride across the main river and you can see the bridge and Christ statue from it. Way cool. We sat outside near the river and I ordered some sardines to start out with, these were not baby sardines like you find in the states, they were huge and perfect, they also came with a fresh salad that was also tremendous. I ordered a whole sea bream and whole fishes are my favorite thing ever and this one did not disappoint. Crispy and flaky and Phil was spot on by recommending this place. It is kind of hidden, so research where it is before you go and it is a small walk from the ferry landing. Awesome service as well, makes for five stars!
Book Ahead!
All the less than stellar reviews here are people who didn't clue in that they needed to reserve far in advance and didn't like standing in line. Get a reservation at least a month in advance, show up a few minutes before 7:00 when dinner starts and you'll be perfectly fine. If you don't have a reservation you can wait a couple hours or go right next door to another place that's almost as good.

Loved it here!! Highly recommend getting here just before 7pm to get in line. We had to wait 30 minutes but the people right behind us waited 2 hours to be seated. Once we were seated everything was amazing. The drinks, the food, the view! I had the cod patties, cod and chocolate mousse. These were all incredibly fresh and delicious! I highly recommend stopping here! It's more than worth it!!
Don’t Bother
Made reservations. Arrived at opening. Waited one hour for someone to take our order. Waited another hour to get our food. Service was terrible. Ruined the experience.

Having visited Lisbon last year and not been able to get in I emailed in January to book for our trip in July. They respond via email and confirmed the booking for me. The restaurant opens at 7pm and all reservations are for that time. There is no time limit on the table - you have it for the full evening until midnight so if you haven’t booked you are reliant on people leaving or not turning up to get a table. We took a taxi and then the steps down to the restaurant which are steep and a little scary but well worth it once you get to the bottom! We arrived just before 7. There was already a 20 deep queue on the steps of people with no reservations. We were seated quickly at a table under an umbrella right on the water front. The staff were quick to attend to us and we ordered shrimp to start with bread, olives and cheese. We really fancied the monkfish stew which states for 2 people. As we were 3 we asked if possible to do for 3 and were told it was big enough. When we had just started eating one of the waiters came over and said he had a better table for us if we wanted to move - we did to get a better view of the bridge and water. The staff were friendly, not intrusive, available for anything you needed and best of all because of the no time limit we didn’t feel rushed. The shell on shrimp were amazing - no tasty. The stew arrived bubbling in a huge clay pot and was filled with fish, it tasted sensational. There was a steady stream of people waiting throughout the evening and it was quite annoying to have people watching you to see if you were finishing. The staff however were the opposite. Did we need more wine or dessert as we still had 2 hours until closing! The bill for 3 of us including 2 bottles of wine was €141 which we couldn’t believe. An absolute bargain. The only downside was that because it was cloudy we didn’t get the sunset - that would have just made an incredible evening even better. Go with the mindset you won’t be rushed and you will have an incredible evening.
Amazing food!
Amazing food! huge portions, nice views. I would go back again and again! Dont be scared of the steps down thinking how do you climb up after! there is a water taxi that in 5 minutes takes you across plus i believe there is an elevator. Absolutely amazing place plus staff. Highly recommended. I had pork and my husband had fish. Also MUST have the chocolate mousse!!

The staff is friendly but they are severely understaffed.
Were never greeted by a waiter. Were never offered a menu after sitting for 15 minutes and eventually had to track some down ourselves. After we got the menu, another 10 minutes passed still no greeting or waiter. What makes it worse is that some guy paid 20€ to some random 2-top to skip ahead of the line of about 35 people. Even after the entire line complained to the host and called them out, the host sent him to the next restaurant. They guy then returned and talked to a different host (who didn't see any of the previous incident) and got them to bring out a table for him. Of course he was given a menu and bottle of wine right away. A very sloppy way to run a business. The menu is very traditional, likely not very approachable if you're unfamiliar with Portuguese seafood specifically. Food is also mid. Views are great tho. I'd suggest going with no reservation and just trying to pay 20€ to skip the line, apparently that works.

But aside from the views, the food was also AMAZING. Definitely THE BEST MEAL I had between Lisbon and Porto, even though I also did a two Michelin star rated restaurant. Ponto Final was just better. Reservation is 100% recommended if you want a good seat, and the prices are also reasonable. I immediately recommended other people to go right after I left because this spot was amazing. I loved my mackerel with tomato soup thing and rice. It was so good. But we ordered so much food I couldn't even finish it.

Review for Ponto Final - The TikTok Viral Restaurant An unfortunate and frustrating experience from start to finish. We arrived at 7:40 PM and weren't seated until 9 PM--nearly 2.5 hours later. Since they don't take reservations after 7 PM, it's first come, first served. What they don't mention is that you'll need to wait about an hour just to get your name on the list... and then queue again to grab drinks while you wait to be seated. That line took another hour, and we were left standing outside in freezing winds, sharing bread and olives on a stone ledge by the water as the sun set and the cold set in. After all that waiting, our name was skipped entirely on the waitlist. We watched multiple groups who arrived well after us get seated ahead. When I pointed this out to the gray-haired host (whom everyone seems to rave about), he gave a half-hearted apology and finally seated us--almost three hours after we arrived. Because we had been out in the cold for so long, we asked to be seated inside. Once inside, we sat for 20 minutes without any acknowledgment. No waiter approached us for drink orders, nothing. It was our last night in Portugal, and we felt invisible. When we finally placed our order, I opened the menu only to find it covered in black mold. I lost my appetite. I flagged it to our waiter, who didn't seem to care. Meanwhile, every table around us was getting great service and attention. We felt completely disregarded. We were seated at 9 PM. Our food didn't arrive until 10:40 PM--20 minutes before closing. Even then, it came in parts. My partners veal arrived much earlier than expected, and my grilled sardines were delayed another 15-20 minutes after that. I had to flag down a different server--not even ours--to check on our food. Our assigned waiter never once came to check in. As a waitress from New York, I understand the chaos of busy nights--but this was unacceptable. We rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was so disappointing it felt like a joke. We paid the same as everyone else, yet were treated as if we didn't matter. When we brought our concerns to the host at the end of the night, he brushed it off with, "Well, we have good reviews." That's not the point. You took our time and money, and our experience didn't reflect your supposed standards. The arrogance was disheartening. They comped dessert but still charged for water--what a joke. He blamed how busy the restaurant was, but every other table was properly taken care of. It almost felt personal. The food was good, but the treatment was honestly heartbreaking. Sadly, we won't be coming back.

We were a big group so we made sure to make the reservation a few months before to make sure we can get in. Place was amazing! Great view & even better food! All the seafood we had was very fresh & tasty. We stayed their all afternoon eating and enjoying. We got to see the sunset there and it was beautiful as well. They also offer little blankets for when it starts getting cold. We can't wait to be back in Portugal to go have more delicious food.

The best dining experience we had in Lisbon, by far! I highly recommend getting a reservation otherwise you will wait for at least an hour and won't be able to have first pick of where you sit. We were lucky enough to be at the front of the reservation line and were seated at the same table that Phil sat on his show! Beware that you do get splashed when the larger boats go by. We took the water taxi from Lisbon to the closest stop, which was actually a 10-15 minute walk to the restaurant. Not bad! The atmosphere is incredible! Sunset views on the water can't be beat. The seafood is some of the freshest and most flavorful we had on the trip. Can't recommend enough!

Visiting in the off season seems to have its perks because we didn't need a reservation, although we did arrive as soon as they opened and it soon got busy inside. It's a quaint spot, full of history and we were welcomed with open arms. Being English speakers, that wasn't a problem as the staff seems to be multilingual. Cod fritter- was fresh, lightly fried and not overly salty. Love that it was full of cod, onions, and garlic. Ponto Final soup- very delicious and favorable veggie and bean soup. It's a nice serving so if you are getting more food you can share. The Seafood rice was boiling hot, tomato-y and flavorful and as it cooled down it got even better upon eating. The fish was beyond fresh, seasoned perfectly and they provided what seemed to be olive oil which took the dish up 10 notches. Portuguese olive oil is top tier and Pinto Final will be on my list and recommendations moving forward. What's really cool about this place- there's indoor and outdoor seating with a gorgeous view of Lisbon and a waterfront view.

So glad we made reservations 6 months in advance! The food and atmosphere were exceptional. We had such a beautiful evening here. You can get here via ferry or taxi. We chose to take a taxi and walked down the stairs from the upper level. We explored the waterfront before dinner.

Was difficult to get a reservation - tried contacting them by phone and email for months without a response. Decided to just show up and give it our best - ended up with a one hour wait, which really wasn't bad considering we could wait with cocktails and stunning view! Very friendly, very busy, very efficient staff. The whole experience was great - from taking the public ferry across and walking the 15 minutes along the water to the restaurant to some of the best seafood on our trip. Food was simply prepared but super fresh and delicious. Five of us all tasted each others dishes - yum, yum, yum. Be aware it can get cold and windy when the sun goes down, even in the summer...the point is pretty exposed there. But nothing a blanket and some extra layers can't help! Worth the trek!

We made reservations a month in advance and didn't have to wait to be seated. Beautiful views and great service but we were not impressed with the food. We ordered the octopus salad and monkfish stew. The octopus was tender and tasty. The stew was huge but the rice and fish were both undercooked.

Visited for lunch without a reservation. Only waited about 20 minutes and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and we didn’t feel rushed even though they were very busy. They only accept reservations by email so I highly recommend making one if you can.
Wow, just wow!
Beautiful setting, we were lucky we got there and a couple left so the table was free!!! Recommend a booking because they serve up to 4.30pm then stop until 6pm (If im not wrong). Food is amazing, literally never tasted fish sooo good ! Service was also 10/10. The old-ish waiter recommended us what to get and the wine as well. You could easily spend hours there, enjoying the view and talking to the staff. Worth it!

A good must try in Lisboa
Most beautiful sitting area outside! Almost impossible without a reservation (I reserved to months in advance). The food was nice - but the service was a little slow (probably because the restaurant was full).
Very disappointing
This place was recommended by our Booking.com host. We went there 1 hour before opening. They told us to wait on the steps. We waited until opening, only to be told then that we can’t be sure of a table. Why don’t they tell you on arrival that they are fully booked until September. Waste of time if you don’t book months in advance.

Nonetheless, we showed up for a late lunch with no reservation and were quickly seated right out on the edge! Everything was fresh and delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. We hope to go back one day!
An amazing dining experience.
We dined here on vacation for my birthday. We each ordered a dish and an appetizer and it's more family style. After the appetizer we were almost full. The service was great. You cannot have a better view. You are right on the water. You do need to take the ferry or water taxi. We took the ferry took about 10 minutes and another 10 to walk to restaurant.

When we first got there we waited in line for 30 minutes to be told there was a 40 minute wait. Fair enough but then it was over TWO MORE HOURS before we were seated. "You should have just left" why yes my friend we likely should have but at that point we had already sunk so much time into it that we were like we might as well stay. Anyways by the time we finally got sat we ordered bread (which was mediocre and cold) water (stinky) and salmon (great) pork ribs (good). They each came with roasted potatoes (mediocre). That came out to 47.80. It also took forever to get the check even after we asked for it, and at this point it was 10:55pm (we got there at 7:30). Dude the food is fine but it's so overpriced and overcrowded, and does not even look that nice. do not come and whatever you do, DO NOT CLIMB THE STAIRS AT NIGHT!!!!!!
Superb food and drink.
Spectacular view in outdoor seating. Reservations are a must. If you don't have a reservation, you can line up the steps about 1\2 to 1 hour prior to opening at 7:00 (last checked) and you will likely get a seat in about 30 min. The waiter scoffed slightly when I asked about wines by the glass but there are a few 1\2 bottle options. Excellent and I mean excellent service. When the sun set, it got a little cool. Our waiter actually appeared with small blankets which my dinner companion was very grateful for.
A must see in Portugal.
The atmosphere is wonderful and vista gorgeous. The food is great. Loved the staff. A couple warnings - if you want a reservation, call months ahead. They only take reservations for 7 pm and then the walk-ins. Also, if you drive there, be prepared for a long walk down a rough stairway. We had to wait and hour but it was more than worth it.

Going that route takes you up the hill that you will eventually have to walk down via stairs to the restaurant. When we left, we walked along the water and don't recall many steps (if any) back to the ferry. People were also arriving by water taxi, right to the restaurant beach. When we arrived via the stairs, there was a line waiting. We waited for a bit and then they called out asking if anyone had reservations. We promptly were able to pass the line and were seated on the water's edge. Super cool view! The line were folks without reservations but it seemed like they all got seated at some point. Not sure how long they waited. We ordered water, white wine, bread, the sardines, grilled sea bream, grilled sole, horse mackerel, merengue, chocolate mousse, and cafe to finish. All for around 130€. Worth the effort to get there!

.... The dover was succulent, perfectly seasoned, and melted in my mouth.... some how the sounds of the waves crashing against the shore seems to make everything that much more incredible. I may never come back to this part of the world, but I wont forget how amazing i felt after this experience...... great restaurant....
Great food and fantastic views at Ponto Final.
This small restaurant located on the river was popularized by being featured on Netflix and for me it lived up to the hype. We reached out to the restaurant by email to make a dinner reservation a couple of weeks in advance. When we visited in November, they were only open from 12:30pm to 4pm and then 7pm on for dinner so we opted for a 7pm dinner. To get the full experience, we took the ferry to Cacilhas and then walked along the riverwalk to the restaurant. It had just opened when we arrived so luckily we got a table right at the edge of the water. We ordered the spicy shrimp to start and then got the monkfish stew (serves 2) to share for our entree. Luckily the restaurant also offered hot water as it was quite cold. The shrimp came out quickly and were really tender, buttery and the perfect starter. They weren't spicy at all for my palate but the flavor was still good. The star was really the monkfish stew which came in a large caldron and was filled with chunks of fish in perfectly booked rice. The stew was really flavorful and comforting on a cold night. We couldn't finish it between the 2 of us so it's definitely enough to share with even 4 people if you wanted to try another entree alongside it. Nothing could beat the views though - we loved looking out to the city and 25 de Abril bridge during our meal. It was cold throughout in November but the waiter was nice enough to bring out blankets and provide additional candles when it got dark.

We arrived early, took the stairway walk up (right in the restaurant) and the elevator down. 20 mins total and great pre dinner adventure. Food is good, service is great, atmosphere and experience is outstanding.

Took an Uber from the city to here, the Uber can't drop you off directly in front as you have to walk a little and it's a little sketch of a walk. I suggest buddy system.. Was rainy when we went when they opened and I think that helped with less people interested in visiting. However a line still formed outside in while it was lightly raining. I suggest making reservations months in advance but they do allow some walk ins - you just have to get there early early. We were able to walk-in after coming a bit before opening - but again the rain might've been a helpful factor. The grilled sea bass was amazing ! Best sea bass or fish in general that I've had in Portugal and. I left no crumbs on my plate!!! Pair it with a nice wine and it's a done deal! Found them on tik tok and they went viral so it's hard to get seats.

The location and views were amazing, and the grilled fishes (dorado, sea bass, Dover sole and salmon) were some of the best we've ever had.

I've been seeing people online say this place is overhyped now but that's probably because those people didn't get a seat. Even on a rainy day, me and my friends enjoyed this dining experience and it was one of our favorite meals. All three of us got the whole branzino which was delicious and fresh. I also ordered the sardine appetizer and I still think about it this day. It drizzled the whole time through our lunch but the views were still amazing and wonderful service. Don't be like us though - make that reservation!! We just got lucky.

They treated you as cattle. The best sunset in Lisbon but I don't recommend the restaurant at all.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Ponto Final Almada at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Ponto Final Almada page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* ImmortalStep65, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* ImmortalStep65 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to ImmortalStep65 for any questions Peter may have as ImmortalStep65 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* ImmortalStep65 now uses their connections at Ponto Final Almada to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If ImmortalStep65 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, ImmortalStep65 receives the $200 reward which is credited to ImmortalStep65's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Ponto Final Almada!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
