I think the drinks here are absolutely fantastic and I had the sweetest bartender last night (can't remember her name though, but she really took care of me). Yesterday one the drinks I had was the lychee coco martini. Gin-based (which I prefer) tasty and absolutely gorgeous.I'm still not sure how I feel about the food. I had the yellowtail roll which is drizzled in truffle oil and tempura flakes. The oil smelled heavenly and the rice was warm which was nice, but the yellowtail was weirdly minced and looked like imitation crab meat. I forced myself to eat it, but it honestly wasn't very good.
Be the first to ReplyFor what you pay here, they do not give you a lot of food.
Also they ask you if you want water or sparkling water but they do not tell you that sparkling water is $9. Waitress could be a bit friendlier. Love the vibe of the restaurant but not the best experience.

Had a great night out with friends! Great food that really surprised me with how tasty it was. Highly recommend the Sake Aburi Roll. Only thing my friends didn't like was the French Onion Miso Soup, which I expected to be a bit off since it's a miso soup with cheese haha. Service was alright. Overall I'd recommend it if you're trying to find a place to eat in Brickell.

Be the first to ReplyThe service was terrible we kept having to flag our server
The service was terrible we kept having to flag our server down so she could take our order. We had to flag her down to get the check as well and she was snappy with us and told us she would come back. Idk. Not a good impression for our first time. Believe her name was Cindy. We were there for what felt like forever.Anyways the food was bomb. I got the chicken yakitori and it was delicious. I also got the shrimp tempura roll and I was so full that I needed help finishing it. If you check in on Yelp, there is free edamame as well. The restrooms are non-gendered but there was a long line for them so I just decided to hold it so I couldn't check to see if they were cleanThey do validate parking down to $5 for the garageThe bride loves the truffle dumplings :)

The bartender IVETH is sooooo amazing even when the place is packed such a positive attitude and amazing smile . We was sit on bar counter and she was taking care of us and give a beautiful suggestion for a meal and drinks , as well some small details about food preparation and ingredients on meals and drinks. So far was was absolutely beautiful time spending! She also remembered what we ordered a month ago wow who does that. We will come back again when she's working
Be the first to Reply$67 for one crab roll, one miso soup and two beers.
This place is an absolute joke of a ripoff. Offensive pricing and mediocre food.
Be the first to ReplyAs someone who has lived in Japan and the FarEAst for many
As someone who has lived in Japan and the FarEAst for many years and experienced sushi restaurants around the world, from the dive whole-in-the-wall to fine dining, can't say I was over impressed with Pubbelly Sushi. Not that it was bad per se, but maybe all the 5-star Yelp reviews jaded by expectations. I'd rate it as average on the sushi cuisine front. Note to self: be suspect when a restaurant has mostly 5-star Yelp reviews or perhaps when in Miami? Once seated, the staff was friendly and helpful, which would equate to a 3.5 rating. We dined late Friday night. Ambience is ok, nothing special, but it was LOUD, meaning you almost have to yell for your partner to hear you. Food was meh, ok, meaning nothing special nor stood out to be memorable. We had a bunch of dishes including the obligatory Lobster Donuts (not sure what all the fuss is about), Japanese Fried Chicken (ok), Wagyu Beef Tartare (ok), Miso Black Cod (usually a favorite, but seemed lacking), etc. etc. Bill for 2ppl w/tip was $200+, so not crazy expensive but not cheap either. At the end of the day, it's all relative to what your lived experience is or has been I guess. Would I return, doubtful, but give it a try. Perhaps a different day/night at a different time the experience will measure up to all those Yelp 5-star reviews. Good luck!

Wow! I'm not a big sushi eater, i've only ever had grocery store california rolls. However today I tried the crispy salmon roll and fell in love! It was amazing, the pork gyozas were delicious and the Japanese chicken is a must! The waitress did a great job taking care of our party of 11 and the ambiance was friendly and lively. Can't wait to come again!
Be the first to ReplyI've been coming to pubelly sushi since 2017.
I always do a modification on my fried rice, and always for over 5 years have had it modified. I went to eat there yesterday and Chef juan told the server that he did not want to modify the rice. It wasn't even that he couldn't, he just didn't want to which I find really disappointing especially it being that I've been a regular with pubelly for so many years. On top of that, I do feel like the quality of the food is going down also. In all my time going to eat there yesterday was by far the worse. Literally my favorite part was biting into these donut lobsters. Y'all should talk to chef Juan and tighten him up. Not a good look especially if he's disappointing regulars like me,

Yes yes yes! 5 stars for best sushi ever Inside of the Brickell shopping center Upstairs Everything we ordered was fantastic Definitely will return & visit here for every trip!
Be the first to ReplyThe best plate in pubbelly is the butter crab roll.
It will blow away your taste buds, it is made with a butter truffle ponzu sauce that accompanies the roll perfectly. Definitely a must try 10/10 recommended.

I wish I took pictures because literally everything I ordered was delicious. I think we ordered about one of everything. A few staples were the lobster and also the yellow tail roll and last but #1 for me were the truffle dumplings. So good!!!!

First off, I need to shout out our server Jose for making my friend's birthday so special. They were doing a promotion where if you write a review or check in on Yelp you can get a free heat roll, so we were all able to get those. The roll was good but I'm not sure if I would order it again. The combination tasted a little too sour and gingery(?) for my preference. But Jose was so kind and brought out multiple sauces for us to try dipping the rolls in! I also ordered the shiitake bao buns, which is marked on the menu as chef's choice. I wasn't a huge fan- I usually like shiitake mushrooms, but I think it was the sauce that made it a bit sour, and I was expecting a deeper umami/soy sauce flavor. For drinks, I had a lychee martini and it was delicious. Definitely more fruity and sweet than a regular martini but the coconut cream was really good with it and made it smooth. Jose also brought our table free blueberry lemonade sake drinks from the bar to celebrate my friend's birthday and they had surprise popping boba at the bottom!
Be the first to ReplyThe experience here at pubbelly sushi brickell on 2/6/22
The experience here at pubbelly sushi brickell on 2/6/22 was horrible. Me and my 2 friends decided to go for dinner. All the food we ordered came out disgusting. We had to turn back the tuna pizza right away. Our server was cold and emotionless he didn't really care about any of our concerns. ( he was going through the motions ). I ordered a kimchi fried rice and I had to turn it back twice, when I received it for the third time it was still incorrect. The waiter noticed all of these things and still didn't apologize or take care of the bill for us. Ultimately we all felt sick after we ate and two of us ended up throwing up. I am very DISAPPOINTED being a foodie as myself who takes pride on going out to eat as a hobby all over Miami. Needless to say our whole EXPERIENCE was ruined.
Be the first to ReplyEverything we ordered was delicious and beautiful! This
Everything we ordered was delicious and beautiful! This location is on the top floor of the Brickell Mall. We stopped by for happy hour and ordered several things off the menu. They all came quickly and were prepared beautifully. The flavors were all so different and unexpected. We ordered the Korean Bravas, a slightly spicy mix of 3 types of roasted potatoes; the Big Eye Tuna roll, 3 pieces of delicate tuna on top of Crispy Rice; the Japanese Fried chicken, provided with lettuce, Kim cheese, and ginger sauce to make lettuce wraps; as well as the Spicy Edamame, which were cooked to perfection and topped with a sweet, smoky dry rub and flaky salt for a savory, not really spicy taste. They currently offer a Butter Krab roll as a thank you for checking in and it was so good! It was almost like eating lobster. A very unexpected flavor but filling and delicious. We also tried two of the sake options on the happy hour menu, they come in a small pour glass for about 3 ounces of sake per serving. All their sake is served chilled. We preferred the Soto with its soft, smooth mouth feel over the Hakusturu with a sweeter taste. Definitely recommend coming! Beautiful art work, friendly staff and delicious food. They have different types of music depending on the day so the ambiance can change if you don't prefer what they have playing that day. Be the first to ReplyThe sushi here is delicious and always fresh.
Daniel was absolutely awesome and very attentive to our party. I would definitely recommend this restaurant when visiting Brickell City Centre. Can't go wrong with the crispy tuna and heat roll!

Be the first to ReplyI'm not a huge sushi person but this place is awesome.
Great atmosphere and the butter crab roll is pretty tasty!
Be the first to ReplyGot their food to go.
ย The bag had a weird odor. Ordered ceviche and it did not taste fresh
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite sushi spots.
They have locations in Brickell, Aventura and Dadeland that I've been to. It's always absolutely delicious. They have a good happy hour too. You have to order the Crispy Salmon Roll, Big Eye Tuna and the Tuna Tartare.
Be the first to ReplyMy friends and I were thoroughly disappointed.
The portions were incredibly small and the food came out cold. A very simple order of a chicken skewer took 32 minutes to come out and it was only four dry pieces of chicken on a stick. The portion of pork belly fried rice wasn't even enough to satisfy. The prices were ridiculous for the horrible sizes and incredible wait time. The servers were also lackluster as they barely showed and took a while after sitting to order. Do not come here unless you'd like to leave dissatisfied and cheated.
Be the first to ReplyPubbelly is uh-ma-zing! Wish there were more sushi fusion
Pubbelly is uh-ma-zing! Wish there were more sushi fusion spots like these in the bay area. It's so good I had it twice on my one week trip. The ambiance is 5/5, service 5/5, food 10/5. The most memorable dishes were the butter crab roll, screaming orgasm, grilled octopus, and the yellowtail roll. It's refreshing to have sushi that breaks away from the traditional everyday rolls you see at japanese restaurants. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu, especially if you're a truffle & fish lover, but stick to the rolls and apps and leave the nigiris for an actual omakase resto.
