This is of my favorite spots for a solo dinner or date
This is of my favorite spots for a solo dinner or date night in Park Slope. I'm a big fan of their kale caesar and brussels sprouts and the pizza always hits the spot. PDA is a gem!
Be the first to ReplyCozy comfortable spot with great service.
4/5 Sadly the food, 2/5. The pizzas were overpriced ($24-28) and disappointing. Pepperoni tasted burnt and not much flavor in either pie except for a bit of a kick on the bottom one. Appetizers were fine although not any sort of deal e.g. broccoli $14. I'd prefer my corner slice shop.

Yum! I went here for a cute small brunch and was not disappointed. My friend and I split the Vegetable Pizza and the Kale Caesar Salad, although I had to send back the salad (because it actually had anchovies). The pizza was great. All the vegetables were not overcooked, which is hard to do on an oven-baked pizza, and the flavor was present. I can't remember which replacement salad I had but it was also good. Nothing wowed me in terms of taste but it was a really nice brunch. The service was good too. If i was in the area and craving pizza, i would definitely pop into here again.

What a charming place to grab some good food and drinks in a cozy atmosphere! PDA has a nice selection of cocktails, as well as some beers and wines. But the pizza was the main draw for us, and it was great. Loaded with delicious toppings, and the crust was pretty good! A little thicker/chewier than what I usually like, but still a great pie. Bonus points for great service, but be sure to make a reservation - there aren't many seats inside!

I loved PDA! It's a bit of an odd setup since indoors is claustrophobic feeling but outdoors is alright. We got the white pizza and some carrots as our appetizer, and the really kind waitress gave us a free cookie to end the night :) such a great place to chat and connect!

I had been wanting to try out this restaurant for a while and wish I did it sooner. Great food and service! We had a big group and tasted half of the menu. Everything was fabulous- tasty pizzas, fresh salads, and super flavorful vegetable dishes. Highly recommend!! Tons of outdoor seating and modest amount of seating inside; do make reservations in the winter months.
Be the first to ReplySorry to be a negative Nancy, but this place is wildly
Sorry to be a negative Nancy, but this place is wildly overpriced. I ordered a plain Margherita pie that was paper thin and it was $26 dollars. It tasted fine but there are so many better places in the neighborhood that are a way better value and with a much more satisfying slice. I recommended Peppino's--$21 for a Margherita pie that is easily twice the size and thickness and a lot tastier imo. The ambiance is nice and it's a good experience for dining in, but don't bother going here for takeout or ordering delivery. Bit of a rip off.

Learning that PDA does brunch was the best thing this past weekend! We shared a bunch of delicious bites, including their crepe like burrito. Service was incredible and it's a very charming space. Short but easy wine list, all natural. Looking forward to our next visit already!
Be the first to ReplyI was very excited to try this restaurant after reading
I was very excited to try this restaurant after reading they opened in March of 2020 and survived the pandemic. The drinks, salads and service were great. Unfortunately, the pizza, arguably the main reason for coming here, was subpar. We ordered three different pies and none of them were anything special. Veggie pie was too spicy and the sauce on the red pies was too something (tart?). It was just not pizza that I would need to have again. If I had to recommend something doughy I'd go with the calzone, but even that felt too heavy after a few bites. Would come here for cozy atmosphere and drinks but skip the pies.
Be the first to ReplyEnjoyed the pizza here.
We had the cheese and pepperoni and they were very good. The pepperoni was better and very flavorful. I like thin crust pizza. I took one star off because of service. there was a little of wait for the pizza although there weren't a lot of people. Overall, my experience was great.
Be the first to Replythis quant and cozy gem had AMAZING food.
fresh and delicious pizza and sides, and huge delicious salads. wait staff was lovely. all over great experience and could not recommend more highly!!

I met up with a friend for dinner here recently and overall enjoyed the experience. The service was friendly, and this really felt like a neighborhood spot. That said, the tables inside we were super close together, and it was pretty much impossible to get into some of the seats without bumping into the table next to you.Food was pretty good. We got an order of the brussel sprouts to share, and we both agreed that the sauce complemented them well. The dough of the pizza was delicious and I really enjoyed the blend of cheeses and garlic on the white pie. My friend seemed to enjoy her salad too.Overall, it's a cute spot!
Be the first to ReplyThe food here is absolutely incredible.
Their pizzas have great texture and an abundance of toppings. I love their wide silent ion of veggie sides and vegan pizzas. Portions are on point. Can't wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyPDA is my happy place! Several reasons for this:1) Food.
Most important factor and they do very well at it. My recommendations are the meatball pizza for the adventurous and the pepperoni for a delicious option I could eat everyday. For brunch, the pancakes are amazing.2) drinks. Good wine options and rotating beers are on point!3) staff. Emi, Rob and the gang make you feel very much at home. Come here a couple of times and you will have a local that you can come home to anytime.Highly recommend this place! It won't dissppoint!!
Be the first to ReplyTried takeout on a Saturday evening.
We had the margarita pizza, wings, meatballs and kale cesar salad. The staff is lovely. The food not so much. We found everything from the pizza sauce to the wing seasoning very salty. Like almost not edible level of salt.

The staff is great and the food is delicious! This spot was so cozy. I didn't get a picture of the pizza but the pepperoni was perfect.

Happened to stay close by and stumbled into this cozy spot in Brooklyn! I'm not sure if it was the manager/host, but he truly added to why I'm giving this place a 5 stars. He was so attentive, let us order drinks while waiting for a table, and even gave us complimentary soup when we were seated because we waited in the cold weather! The soup was a broccoli soup - topped with chili crisp(?), croutons and sunflower seeds. The subtle heat warmed us right up! Solid wood-fired pizza as well. Thank you for your hospitality!!
Be the first to ReplyFinally tried Public Display of Affection (PDA for short).
I walked by it a few times, but was already getting food at Wangs so it never seemed like the time.Actually got Wangs yesterday and thought, I really need to try PDA. So today, as I was browsing ubereats for my weekly pizza meal, saw PDA and I had to order. Decided to get 2 cheese pizzas and some meatballs to share.Even though we ordered 2 of the same pizzas, they were slightly different. The first pizza was very thin and crispy. I could take the pepper on the sauce. The 2nd pizza was saucier and the crust was more airy and thick.I liked them both! You can taste that the crust is different. I believe it's made with sourdough. You can definitely tell it was cooked in a wood fired oven.Overall, I did like the pizza. I liked that the crust was crispy all the way through. I find lots of pizzas are soft and soggy in the middle. The sauce was good, I liked it was peppery.

So good! The shishito peppers are perfection! Husband and I ordered one pizza, the shishito peppers, and the arancini, and it was the perfect (or just slightly too much) amount of food for a date night. Cocktails were tasty also. Overall really delicious, fresh, and a fun. Loved it, can't wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyA cute place with excellent service! The menu is small
A cute place with excellent service! The menu is small because you can tell they've thought through every dish. The sangrias were watery but the cocktail was very good. The kale caesar is delicious and cheesy but a bit too salty. However, the lemon zest really cuts through the fattiness and saltiness. The arancini balls are so creamy with a delicious spicy sauce. We got the spicy meatball pizza, which was good overall but the crust was a little soggy.
Be the first to ReplyMy partner and I really like this place.
The music can be stressfully loud at times (just something to be aware of if you're sensitive to sound) but the food and service are fantastic!
Be the first to ReplyPizza was really good but had kind of a weird/not great
Pizza was really good but had kind of a weird/not great experience overall. Been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally came here on a Saturday for dinner but when we arrived, there was a sign on the door that said their pizza oven was broken. We left and decided we'd come back another time. No problem. But then we called every day for a week to see if the oven was fixed so we could go back. No one ever answered the phone. We finally decided to just go back a few weeks later and take our chances. Pizza oven was fixed and we really enjoyed the food! Unfortunately, the waitress was coughing almost the whole time and now that the indoor mask mandate is over, the employees no longer wear masks. It was uncomfortable and we left in hurry. After really making an effort to try this place, I'm sad we didn't have a better experience.

Lived here for a year and never been - such a cool place, awesome hip hop music, great pizza and a $32 bottle of wine! Highly recommended for a date night or hang with the girls. Wish it was open late night could be so fun!!

They have "community" written above their door, and rarely have I found somewhere that fosters it better than PDA. The owners and staff feel like family, and treat you as such. This neighborhood - heck this world - needs PDA now more than ever. Thank you for all that you do.

Their Detroit style pizza is AMAZING! The margherita and white are my favorite. It comes with a spicy marinara to dip in which is the cherry on top. The cuts are big, so it's very filling.
