I had a really nice dinner at Queens English recently, but the key to enjoying it was having some Christmas money to spend on dinner. The price tag was a little painful! They got us on the uni toast. To be fair, this was probably the most delicious thing we ordered. It's not on the menu, it's off menu which seems like a clever way to hide the price. The server recommended 1 order per person, which meant that for a party of two we ended up unwittingly spending more than $50 on this three bite dish (they were a luxurious three bites, but still!). Other items that were delicious and more reasonably priced included the XO mushroom noodles and the daikon fritters (which were unexpectedly awesome). The silken tofu and shu mai were good, but not quite special.Great wine list.
