Queensyard Cafe New York Reviews from The Last Year
This was recommend during our visit to the Hudson Yards on
This was recommend during our visit to the Hudson Yards on a rainy day. It was a very nice atmosphere! There was a lot of picture opportunities leading to the restaurant and within the restaurant there were two beautiful murals. The staff were all kind and very knowledgeable about the menu and everything they could offer guests. All of our meals were fantastic. Everything arrived perfect and it tasted just as good. The pancakes were just the right thickness and the dulce cream was on the bottom. The truffle fries were also a hit with the right flavors and crispy lines. I would love to return during my next Hudson yard trip to try the lunch or small bites menu next!!!

Randomly stumbled upon this restaurant while walking around Hudson yard. Absolutely loved this restaurant! We were very fortunate enough to get seated right before the busy hours in the evening without a reservation. We sat in a nice corner spot table with a beautiful view of the vessel! We had the braised baby back pork ribs, seared Atlantic salmon, and roasted half chicken with martinis. Savory and cooked well with a burst of flavor. The service was also fast and friendly, and I can't wait to visit this spot again
What a great time.
Drinks were fabulous. I had the Vespar, which was perfectly made. The cosmopolitan was well balanced. And the love potion was excellent. Not too sweet. And our waitress was phenomenal. Bartenders were phenomenal as well. Definitely will return. But here was what really stole the show. The rose room. Oh my God. Talk about fabulous. The ambience was off the roof. The mature d' Sammy was iconic and fabulous. It was his 39th birthday. The espresso martinis were phenomenal and the music was banging the service and there is super attentive and friendly. You should not miss the Rose room.
Great view of the vessel and the river.
Burger was mid. Nothing wrong with it, but it didn't stand out. Lobster pasta was a hit with my middle daughter (it's easily two portions). Mac and cheese was decadent and my youngest declared her favorite. The pasta with red sauce was good (oldest finished her plate) and my wife liked the risotto. We had a mini burrata to start, which wasn't remarkable, and the smashed avocado was good, but light on the avocado with a huge amount of sweet potato chips.

I'd made a reservation for 5:30 pm dinner, and my party of 3 got treated to a lovely dinner experience with a direct view of the Hudson Yard vessel, quick food turnaround, wait staff that came around often to check on us, delicious food (I had the branzino), and the wait staff bringing out my delicious lemon cheesecake w/candle and Happy Birthday chocolate while singing to me. I will always remember how nice the host(s) and wait staff were. Queensyard is wonderful all the way around.
Great customer service, food comes out quick and hot.
Wish the menu had more options, but other than that highly recommend. Good views as well. Very clean.
I have been to Hudson yards before but never dined here.
It was recommended to us as a place for an intimate celebration. Before you enter there are a few places to take pictures before you enter. Some pretty rose walls and archway. The restaurant has an intimate look and feel. Though the group next to us was a bit rowdy, which is not the restaurant's fault. The service started slow but improved as the night went one. For started you pay for the bread and butter. There are no freebies here. With that said we had oysters and the burrata for appetizers. The burrata was perfect, not too mushy or watery. We both ordered the lobster pasta. It had a good amount of seafood in it. The drinks were well made and tasty. As for price I think it is a decent price when you think of the average prices in NYC. We looked into the Rose room before we left. It is very small. It is curtained in and near the restrooms. It does have a lot of floral decoration but it was packed and you couldn't get a good picture in the dark either.
The restaurant is absolutely stunning first and foremost.
The service was impeccable - Fenis was the nicest most knowledgeable server I've encountered here in NYC. And the food was delicious. The salmon eggs Benedict hit the spot, the creme brûlée was the perfect end of the meal, I loved my Bloody Mary and the truffle Caesar's dressing was so unbelievable they need to figure out a way to bottle it. Can't wait for an excuse to go back with friends or to impress someone from out of town who wants to check out The Edge and/or Hudson Yards!
Wet nice place.
View if the vessel. We were looking for the Rose Room for the espresso martini bar. But we were too early, it doesn't open till 5pm I think it must be Very touristy, I noticed people next to us wearing Chanel Fendi Dior( crazy rich Asians) so the espresso martinis $21 reflects the classy ambiance. They had the gold standard Martini w valhorna chocolate powder so good.chocolate n espresso! Perfect combo. As we were leaving I took a peek at the Rose room, tons of fake roses beautiful chandeliers, smaller than expected. Been there done that no need to go for the uncharged martinis. Don't get me wrong, it's delicious. I feel like places like this won't survive on just the tourist. They should cater to local nearby workers. Have a happy hour so the regulars can come in. It's too expensive to come every day. Truffle fries were ok, the fries were not crispy enough, but it was $21
Great view of the vessel and classy place! Only went for
Great view of the vessel and classy place! Only went for drinks but it didn't disappoint. Had the Purple Lady and old fashioned and both were delicious. Higher price for a cocktail but was worth it!
Will not visit again
Stopped by for a small bite, between lunch and dinner. Ordered a drink and the waiter disappeared. Had to request to order food but the waiter never checked with me after the kitchen staff deluvered the food. He did not check if the food was ok, if I nedded a drink or anything for the meal...etc. And people want to wonder about their trip. The view of the vessel and the Hudson River were the best part of this experience.
disappointment
great location the rest is bad service, food, drinks all way below expectations for a very overpriced spot there are so many great places to go to in NYC This is not any one of those
Food is always good.
Service is really hit or miss for me, sometimes they are very attentive and other times they can be very slow. The staff is always friendly and eager to help when available. The amazing view and seating makes up for the days with slower service.
Great views, magnificent service and pretty good food! I
Great views, magnificent service and pretty good food! I will for sure be back the next time I'm in NYC
We came to Queensyard to catch up with some friends.
I was thrilled they put our table along the window so we could get the beautiful view of the Oculus. Our server and the service were exceptional all night. We were undecided on which wine to split, so she brought us samples to try until we found the right one. The cabernet we chose was smooth and light. We even had our silverware changed to match our meals. I ordered the bbq ribs because the server said it had more to it than the lamb chops I originally wanted. I was pleased with the amount and the flavor of the ribs. The sauce wasn't your typical bbq flavor, which made it unique. Each rib was tender, and the crispy onions were equally delicious. The truffle fried were crispy and the aioli sauce paired well. The views, service, and food make Queensyard a must visit.
10/10 recommend! It's not often you get white glove service
10/10 recommend! It's not often you get white glove service these days especially with being a random customer not someone with status or someone with relationships with management. I appreciated Milos so much for his service and etiquette not only over the phone but also in person throughout our meal. Outside of the great service, the food and drink were also so good! Definitely will be coming back!
Rainy Saturday night, Party of 6.
There are no 6 top tables close to the window. Those are only for 2 & 4 tops. No worries- even with the rain we had a decent view of The Vessel. Queensyard decor is beautiful- great photo ops for sure. The service was spotty however. Some items took forever to come out but we had few complaints about the food. The flavors were spot on although the plates were smaller portions than we are used to. The cocktails however were very inconsistent. Some of us ordered the same cocktail and each glass tasted different. Because of that experience we all went to our regular 'go-gos' for the second round of drinks rather than their specialty cocktails. This was a fail too. How could 3 Hendricks & tonics all taste so different? We were celebrating a birthday and even mentioned it on the reservation- there was no acknowledgment of that. Anyway, it's a great date night place. Not sure if it's ideal for a group.

Queensyard is a beautiful restaurant with polite and gracious staff. We definitely felt like royalty walking into the establishment. The drinks are EXCELLENT and the food is tasty, with great portion sizes. I will only make this complaint, which is pretty significant: We went there for a birthday celebration, and the waiter not only DID NOT comp pur choice of dessert, he brought out the tiniest, littlest, smallest -- I can't even name it. It looked like an itty bitty soft cookie, with a single candle in it. The waiter said a quick Happy Birthday and rushed on. Hardly film worthy and nothing we would post pictures of in any outlet. That alone dropped their rating and would make me not recommend Queensyard for ANY celebration.
Average food and service.
Great location and view! Conveniently located inside the mall and in Hudson yards so it's somewhere you can stop by to have dinner. But I wouldn't recommend traveling from somewhere far just to visit.

Amazing!!! Love the food! The view, and the service was awesome!! I had a caesar's salad with shrimp - deli!
Dinner out with two friends.
Let's start at the bar. Excellent martini - just the right mix of gin and vermouth. Icy cold. And the second one was just a good. On to dinner. Beautiful table by the window. Delicious grilled octopus and brocollini. Attentive service and -- wonder of wonders -- we could hear each other across the table without raising our voices. All restaurants should take note. We don't dine out for the noise.
nice view and that where it ends
nice view and that's where it ends the food is quite a disappointment .avocado is like a paste and better at any Mexican restaurant, carpaccio is bitter and not eatable .steaks are so so , Cacio e Pepe is a big disappointment , deserts are large yet not that great table time limit is told to you as you sit . Celebrating a birthday with 6 people that drink does not work to well for their 2.5 limit . the bill was 1000.00 for the 6 of us as our time was up there are many other places in the city and out of the city that have the ambiance and quality of food that you will enjoy much more
Magic by the Hudson
Hudson Yards is comparatively new development in west Manhattan & friends recommended Queensyard restaurant which didn’t disappoint. The staff were very welcoming, patient (while we chatted for quite a while before deciding on anything) and the menu is eclectic, with lots of traditional offerings with a modern twist. The staff remembered all of our preferences when we re-ordered items, and it’s those special “I was paying attention” moments that made us feel so welcome and at home. The magic also came in the form of light January snow outside the windows overlooking the Hudson for our entire meal! Highly recommend.
The worst in New York
Poor would be the wrong word. Disgraceful would be justified which I appreciate is a contrast to other reviews. But perhaps it was the way we looked. Arrived at 16:00 to a relatively quiet bar hoping for a nice bottle of red. After 15 minutes of no service I approached the bar who informed me it was table service. Looking around all bar staff chatting - eventually a man arrived who said “what do you want”. Clearly not the greeting you expect when I anticipate he wanted 15% tip for his horrendous service. Clearly some work to do on customer service skills. Embarrassed and ashamed for you - better experience wine bar in Chelsea market
Make a resevation! Enjoy the view
Rich selection of a la carte menu, neither cheap nor expensive but the best if their location with a view of the Vessel we loved it
Bad service, good view and great view.
The view is great and the food was fine (recommend smashed avocado and the fried pork sandwich) but we had the strangest experience with our server who was impatient and rude. She was really snippy and got upset when she thought I wasn't paying attention to her, and she walked away as my friend was ordering a drink. Otherwise, the food was fine, but the server ruined the experience.
