Wife and I decided to drive the 1.
5 hours into Boston and treat ourselves to Ramsays. I previewed the menu prior to heading out and what caught my eye was the "chefs table" a five course meal that can be paired with wine. When I requested the chefs table to the waitress she was unaware of what I was talking about but very kindly said she would find out. Manager came over about 15 minutes later and told us it was something that needed a 48 hour notification before dining. Further it was for groups of eight or more and hosted in the bottom floor (non of this on the website) Also something about a door that needed fixed or something and wasn't available but at that point. I was just hungry and wanted to order so I could eat. I did enjoy the food; crab cake, beef Wellington, and for desert bread pudding. The cost to quality rational isn't there for me though s why the 3 stars. Have better options locally but was a nice experience after having watched Gordon's show for so long. Not an experience I need to repeat though.

Waited ten minutes as severs walked by, not one stopping at our table. On the plus side we had a glass of water...it was ok.

First off, the service was absolutely amazing! Everyone was so friendly and attentive to their guests, made the experience so enjoyable and felt taken care of. The food was really good as well, I got the Beef Wellington and while it was good, I wasn't blown away. My favorite of the night was definitely the Sticky Toffee, gooey and goes so well with the cold ice cream and caramel sauce that's surprisingly not too sweet.

The food was delicious and the waitress Elizabeth was very kind . She tried her best to provide options. However it was very disappointing that they did not have kahlua to make an espresso martini . The manager then admitted they did not order enough toffee pudding and were completely out !
Be the first to ReplyDecided to give Ramsay's Kitchen a try and it was not up to
Decided to give Ramsay's Kitchen a try and it was not up to expectations. The food was good - we ordered mostly lunch food (burgers, chicken sandwiches) and they were tasty. The issue was the service. The restaurant was not busy but it took 10 min for our server to come to the table and another 20-25 to get our drinks. So we waited half an hour after being seated to get our drinks. We asked the server a few times and he kept saying "be right out! I'm going to make them myself!" And then heading to another table or disappearing. When the food came out, one of the meals was not there and did not arrive for another 10 minutes. We think he forgot to put it in. So while it all tasted good, the service was frustrating. The server should have offered to remove the fifth meal but didn't. I doubt I'd return - what's the good of having tasty food if you can't enjoy it together and can't get appropriate service for the price?
Be the first to ReplySOOOOOOOO delicious.
Wow. Went for a sunday brunch w/ my mom and sister and we were all throughly delighted!! Food was phenomenal and so unique! Service was excellent and the restaurant was beautiful. Plus, the brunch prices were not bad at all, nothing we got was more than 20! 10/10 experience would totally get brunch here again

Immediately was greeted at the host stand, host and hostess seeming so pleasant and eager to have my reservation. Waitress was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. Food couldn't get better. My Beef Wellington almost melted in my mouth. The atmosphere was completely soothing, relaxed, and sophisticated. It was my birthday and I did not expect any sort of special treatment from such a place but they delivered a free dessert with a candle in it. I am very pleased and will definitely be visiting again. Also--I don't drink dessert drinks, espresso martinis, any of that. But, the salted caramel espresso martini I tried was one of the best cocktails I've ever tasted.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly decent food if not for the beef wellington being
Honestly decent food if not for the beef wellington being my new par for the most disappointing $70 I've spent! The inside felt more like an airport lounge but appreciate the large amount of table space each party gets! Our server was patient with us but it was strange the way she talked about "Gordon", really trying to sell his name / brand. The good: - The crab cakes, pricey at $31 but it was truly almost all big lump meat with minimal breading, crabby and delicious! - A very solid lobster roll, standard/by the book/good model student Connecticut style lobster roll for $34/ The bread was well toasted brioche, maintained its crisp but not shattering. Soft and plush without being overly bready or underfilled. But it lacked a little salty buttery flavor that I want from brioche to complement the lobster. There was a giant bodacious piece of CLAW meat! Impractical to eat but all of the meat wasn't rubbery at all, yet I wouldn't describe it as tender. It breaks down eventually, but you do have to chew and work for it, as if the meat fibers individually are very intact and healthy and fresh! I also think there could be more butter and seafood flavor, maybe though we had let it sit so when hot more of these flavors would come through. The celery leaves on top were refreshing! But interferes with this non intensely flavored roll. Fries on the side were good and standard too, has the nostalgic fast food fry flavor, mild crunch in the crust. - Maitake mushrooms were so tender and plump, crispy and wispy at the edges. The kitchen could save money and food waste by serving this dish with half the amount of aioli. The BAD: - I don't think the wellington had any redeeming qualities to it. Limp puff pastry with no crunch or flakiness whatsoever, looking so sagged and soggy straight out of the kitchen. The little veg on the side may as well have been microwaved frozen veg. Bland and thin mashed potatoes. The beef itself was mealy and tough around the edges, the middle was so gummy. There was a sad slimy spinach crepe and all the mushroom duxelle was pushed to the but ends of the log. And the rounded ends of the wellington were impossibly dry! I didn't know puff pastry could be so dry and dense! I'd be less sad about the $70 if they just served a normal seared steak with Pepperidge puff pastry on the side. The whole thing was also ridiculously small. - Sticky toffee pudding was tasty around the edges where it soaked in the caramel but bland in the middle / no date flavor. The ice cream was also bland mostly just nice for adding refreshing temperatures. Served with way too much sweet sweet caramel.
Be the first to ReplyStaff was very nice, environment very nice and clean as
Staff was very nice, environment very nice and clean as well. Although the piped in music is like a dental office. Food was disappointingly average. I was really surprised, considering how much we all paid for the dinner. It is in the Mandarin hotel building which is really amazing. Anyway I love G Ramseys cooking, but the lolipop chops were over cooked, My sisters fish (salmon) was fishy tasting and I had some fried chicken dish with prosciutto and cheese, Not what I thought it would be. Sorry guys, not a 4/5 star experience and I have eaten in many fine establishments..
Be the first to ReplyWe went to have the beef Wellington & sticky toffee pudding.
It was not as good as other Ramsey's places. It was over cooked by the darker colored pastry and then dry inside. Pudding was not as moist. My spaghetti arabiatta was good though. Service was fine. For the price, just thought the person running the pass would be more attentive to quality.

I was excited to try out Ramsay's Kitchen but my liking for the food was 50/50. I certainly enjoyed the drinks and desserts but I expected more flavors from the appetizers and main course. Their famous Beef Wellington was a little tasteless for me which was a little disappointing. The interior was fancy and the staff were very friendly and helpful! They walked us through the menu, provided recommendations and took good care of us. Food: 7/10Service: 9/10Experience: 8/10Value: 7/10

Im a huge fan of beef wellington and this place was one of the best beef wellington that I've tried! The vibe of the place is fancy but not super dark or too loud so I would recommend for a date or for a special occasion. There was coat check and the staff was very friendly. I would come back here again!

Wow! Wow! Wow! I can't believe how wonderful the food at Ramsay's kitchen was. It was hands down the best food I've had in a very long time. It was like Ramsay cooked the food himself. (Lol) I went in a little nervous that the food wouldn't be the best and I'd waste money since it is on the pricier side but it was worth every cent. I'm already planning to coming back for dinner. Maybe even breakfast. The workers were also great and so nice!
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambiance.
Great location for a dinner before a concert at the new MGM. Fish and chips were solid

Be the first to ReplyMy husband surprised me with reservations to this
My husband surprised me with reservations to this restaurant for my birthday. I was thrilled and honored to try this place out! I ordered life's a beach cocktail and there was minimal alcohol in it. For appetizers, we ordered lamb lollipops, crab cakes and oysters. What a huge disappointment!!!!!! 2 Lamb pieces- both smelled and had lots of fat. The oysters were not of quality and the pieces were huge. The one piece of Crab cake was ok. The only good thing about the appetizers was the platting. We got the salmon and chicken for entrees. Both were ok, nothing to brag about. We also got Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The best thing was the mashed potatoes. First and last for us.

Did not make a reservation on a Thursday but we waited at the bar until dinner was ready at 4:30pm. The front hosts were very genuine and kind, they added us to the reservation and we were seated right away at 4:30pm. Very romantic and modern restaurant with a open dining room and classic decor. The interior is tied well together. We ordered the jumbo crab cake which came with arugula and it was delicious. For our main entree we had the beef Wellington and pan seared scallops with pork belly. Beef Wellington was cooked very well and a generous portion. Scallops were decent and pork belly had an impactful flavor. We finished off with an amazing dessert that was really unique, packed with flavor in every spoon bite. Our waitress was fabulous.
Be the first to ReplyStopped in for a couple drinks and some dessert.
Drinks only ok, but service not great. Dessert took 40 minutes and even asking twice no one cared. Manager spent the whole time talking to a friend My conclusion on this is Gordon would be horrified and they should let Bar Rescue come in and fix it
Be the first to ReplyWe love all of Chef Ramsey's TV shows and often drool over
We love all of Chef Ramsey's TV shows and often drool over the food we see on them. I have always wanted to try the Beef Wellington, a Risotto and his pan friend scallops to name just a few. To celebrate our 48th Wedding Anniversary, we decided to travel from northern New Hampshire down to Boston where he has the only restaurant near us. First off, we were disappointed that there wasn't any risotto. What? Risotto is a staple in every Ramsey cook show. We were told by the waiter that geographical considerations are made for each restaurant. So I guess risotto is too Italian or too gourmet for New England?? Crazy. No Scallops for an appetizer listed but they had an entrรฉe of Pan-Seared Scallops for $49.00. I ordered them for an appetizer. Three scallops arrived on a plate with small pieces of Berkshire pork belly, apricot puree, pomegranate, orange, chicken jus, some lettuce and fennel I believe. "Yes, I said Three". They were however, delicious!I ordered the Beef Wellington for $65.00. How could I resist, after seeing the Wellington so often on TV. It arrived looking delicious, but after tasting I thought it was still raw and mooing. I asked the waiter, "Is this cooked right?" "Is this always this rare?" He said, "Yes, perfect mid-rare." So, I applied the thinking "When in Rome and I ate most of it. I did not enjoy it however, because it was like chewing on raw flesh. My wife ordered the 8 Ounce Filet Mignon, ($58.00) cooked to mid-rare. She loved the filet and I also thought it was delicious, tender and succulent. Although her mid-rare was cooked more than mine, it was still a little too rare for me. A side of mashed potato with sour cream and chives was $14.00 and a side of hard, under cooked Roasted Broccolini with lemon butter, pine nut and gremolata, parmesan was also $14.00. Not cooked enough! Our waiter was caring attentive and in all ways excellent. To honor our anniversary, he presented us with a complimentary Lemon Cheesecake which we shared. Even without alcohol the total bill came to $209.72 or $249.72 with tip. NO DRESS CODE:We are simple hard working middle class people but we chose to dress up for this Anniversary celebration and we expected there to be some sort of a dress code either imposed or suggested. At the very least we expected to see the majority of customers in what is referred to nowadays as "Dressy Casual" for this higher end expensive restaurant. Dressy Casual simply means a sport's coat or blazer for men and a skirt, dress or pant suit for women. You can look smart and be dressy casual with nice jeans and a blouse or sports coat and a polo shirt. While there were a few people in the restaurant that fit that casual style and one or two men in full suits, plenty of people were in old tee shirts and jeans. Minimal expectation for this pricey restaurant would be at least clean casual if not dressy casual. Certainly not, dirty work clothes. Oh well. Who cares what people dress like in a restaurant? Ninety nine percent of the time we don't. We go for the food and most restaurants are mostly come as you are, and no one really takes note. However, when you go to a fancier high end restaurant to celebrate a very special event, I expected something different. I think it is okay to require and expect a dress code for some places, and some places actually do. On line we actually saw a dress code listed but it was apparently for the connected Mandarin Hotel. When we sent in our review we received the following reply: "We apologize for the confusion regarding the dress code, while the Mandarin Oriental Hotel has a dress code, Ramsay's Kitchen does not enforce one." They certainly don't.FINAL THOUGHTS:It was an experience but we would not travel 2 hours again to spend $250 for a mediocre food experience. Sorry Chef. I am still on the hunt for risotto, and it is super hard to find Beef Wellington in New Hampshire, but we have had some excellent steaks and fillets at the Long Horn, and a better Wellington at the Dolphin Stryker in Portsmouth when they occasionally add it to their menu.
Be the first to ReplyFirst time ever going on 2/22/2023.
The service was tremendous and our waitress was very kind and patient. She gave us many recommendations from her own point of view and the food was very good. Would definitely come back in the future.
Be the first to ReplyFor the price point, was expecting the food to be superior.
NY Strip was overcooked and flavorless. Also, the presentation with the shishito peppers smothered on top looked sloppy. Mac & cheese side dish was also flavorless. Drinks were great, as was the service. Beef wellington was the highlight of the visit. Excellent. Scallops were good. As was tuna tartare. Desserts were pretty good, not great. Service was great, as was the ambiance.
Be the first to ReplyWe enjoyed the oysters and mushroom appetizers, and note
We enjoyed the oysters and mushroom appetizers, and note that the mushrooms were really special. Our main courses were very enjoyable; beef wellington, branzino with cauliflower garnish and the shrimp/lobster spaghetti. O our waitress, Gina was personable and knowledgeable. We were seated near the entrance and sometimes there was a draft when the outer door was opened. Perhaps a velvet curtain during these winter months would help?I would also prefer a quieter ambience; lower the volume for the music, segregate the bar area somehow both aurally and visually so we don't hear drinks being shaken so acutely from the bartender and see TV screens.

My partner and I visited Ramsay's Kitchen last week while visiting Boston. It was my partner's birthday and we were very excited to try the famous beef wellington dish. While the food was amazing, our server Michael was definitely the reason our date night was so special. Michael helped us navigate the extensive wine menu, and even suggested a few of their favorite dishes and drinks. Let me tell you -- everything they suggested was a hit (specifically the jumbo crab cake and the spiced pear cocktail were phenomenal!).Michael's warm and inviting personality, combined with the amazing food made this a date night (and birthday) my partner and I will never forget!

What a cool experience to dine at Gordon Ramsay's new spot on Boylston Street! The bartender Rob is the man and made me want to come back for a drink and the Beef Wellington. But for lunch on a weekday, the RK Burger is an exceptional deal and the lattes were great too!
