It works without a dog!
Are the TripAdvisor reviews here perhaps a bit misleading? After the three very critical feedbacks from last year, it is now time to put a culinary exclamation mark: the four of us had an absolutely excellent tasting menu at “Ca'n BoQueta”, starting with a crispy coccaroi dumpling, followed by cod -Gratin with sweet peppers and honey aioli, before we reached the first highlight with the lamb terrine with pears and wine-pickled onions. And then for the crowning dessert, a sophisticated composition from Rubiols, a typical Mallorcan Easter pastry filled with all sorts of other delicacies. What more do you want? Plus the easy-drinking Vino de la Casa if you don't want to forego the wine accompaniment. And such attentive service! All wishes were promptly fulfilled, and the homemade bread was also available gluten-free. The store was full. Only dogs, unfortunately they have to stay outside.
Be the first to ReplyNice place, good food, reasonable price, but...
I had been before and I liked both the place and the food. This time we went on a Sunday and there was only a tasting menu with no possibility of choosing from the menu. No problem. With the appetizer we were served two small half slices of bread of two types, accompanied by truffle butter and oil. Good. We asked for more bread (mini slices each time) as the meal progressed. In the final bill with 4 tasting menus and two bottles of wine they added 4 portions of bread for €1.75 portion. Total €7!!! I don't understand that in a meal of almost €60 per person, €1.75 of bread should be added, even if extra was requested.
Be the first to ReplyVery nice restaurant
We went on Saturday, February 24, 2024, we called very late to reserve and we were lucky and they accepted it We ordered the tasting menu for 2 with food pairing. 100% right, I can't comment on the menu but looking at the menu it's sure to be a success. 2 starters and 2 seconds shared and 2 dessert along with the pairing wine, another success I think the menus are changing so if I come back I would repeat Thank you so much

Authentic and well combined flavors. Cooking times are very careful. Many options for pairing, good and extensive wine list. Nice staff. Cozy place.

We had lunch the first day, a three-course mushroom menu. Very good! On the second evening, we ate a nine-course tasting menu. Absolutely amazingly good! Amazing price and quality! Pleasant and professional service.
Be the first to ReplyNo eating with dogs.
We had made a reservation by email and specifically asked if we could come with a dog. After I received confirmation of the reservation, we planned our day and were really looking forward to the meal. The unpleasant news when we got there: No entry with dogs. The kind owners don't accept that. This is simply bad management.

Lunch - 3 different course possibilities. We had cream of shrimp pasta and fish dish. Fish was delicious if a little bit salty. Fantastic service and food. Recommend when in Soller.

Wonderful! Thoroughly recommended. Enjoyed the 5-course tasting menu. Looked after by the lovely Bridget (from Hungary), Marina (from Minorca) and Mauro (from Portugal). Food was amazing. The tuna carpaccio was delicious. And the veal was tasty and cooked to perfection. The wine pairing with the food was fabulous. Especially recommend the Es Puput. Quite an extraordinary white with strong, delightful malolactic fermentation. Outstanding veal. The truffle ice cream was interesting. Though intriguing- we both felt the truffle in the ice-cream was a bit overpowering. Probably needs less truffle flavour so as not to overpower the rest of the flavours. A wonderful evening and fabulous food. Thank you Ca’n Boqueta and your lovely staff. Compliments to the chef!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful tasting menu with wine pairing
If I’d read the recent reviews, we may not have visited, however ignore them! We’ve been coming here almost every year for 10+ years and each course is tasty and innovative. The food is truly wonderful - if you’re used to Michelin standard food, this is the place for you. The full tasting menu (9 courses!) isn’t cheap with the wine pairing, but worth every penny/cent. I don’t often post, but felt the need after recent reviews.
Be the first to ReplyWorst dinner in Soller
I rarely leave reviews but don’t want others to experience what we just ate. Nice staff & good wine list. Bread starter was good, wish we stopped there. Did the tasting menu, and didn’t enjoy any of the four dishes. The worst was the main of cannelloni of suckling pig. Sounded great, but the meat was like eating baby food, throw cheese and a truffle sauce on top (neither mentioned on menu), and it was the worst main course I’ve probably ever eaten in a restaurant. I won’t spend more time detailing the many faults (in our view) of the other three, but would strongly advise avoiding. Had great meals in Casa Alvaro and C’an Pinxto the two previous nights. Would recommend both.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Eating Experience
In a quiet street, away from the tourist restaurants, sits this small gem of a restaurant. Lovely atmosphere amongst mainly Spanish customers. We had the tasting menu and the wine pairing at a very good price for a Michelin restaurant. The staff were efficient and knew exactly when to bring the next course or the next. The sort of place where you can easily let 3/4 hours slip by with friends - just what we did! - highly recommended
Be the first to ReplyWonderful food, quiet oasis
Great lunch 3 course, was plenty, charming outdoor area, fully detached from all the tourists. Helpful staff, complex but fantastic food. Price not an issue versus quality

Lovely outdoor courtyard. We had the five course tasting menu, which included a fish dish. When I explained that I really didn’t like fish, but would try it, the waiter returned to our table and suggested a duck and rice dish instead - fantastic customer service. Our meal was delicious, and the courses were served at just the right intervals. A memorable evening, looking forward to returning next year.

We visited this restaurant at lunchtime and had a set menu with wine pairing , it was fabulous . Our waiting staff Mauro and Marina were lovely and helpful and not only will we return but would recommend the restaurant highly. Thanks for a super afternoon.
Be the first to ReplyAnother fantastic meal.
We always visit C'an BoQueta when in Soller. This time we had the 8 course tasting menu and it was the best meal we have had there so far. There were some lovely tasting combinations and staff were so helpful and proud of the food they were serving. A must if you visit Soller.
Be the first to ReplyVery good if you like seafood - not if you're a vegan!
Tasting menu format over 5 courses - more expensive than other Soller restaurants but food also cut above. Nice outdoor courtyard at rear of main restaurant. As tasting menu little choice but enjoyed most of the food very much - my vegan daughters meal was poor though and not good value at all. Would recommend if you've got a wide ranging palate and are not vegan!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely superb
Having not been able to travel for the last couple of years we couldn’t wait to return to Ca’nBoQueta. We were not disappointed. We ate there twice during our stay. Both lunch and Dinner and both were absolutely superb. The entire waiting staff were also brilliant.

We wanted to treat ourselves and where able to get a table here, at this popular restaurant - something that has been difficult in the past. Knowing it had a bib gourmand - we of course had great expectations. We ordered the 9 course tasting menu with wine pairing. First we got some bread with olive oil and very (too) salty butter with truffle. Then some black porc that was so salty it was almost uneatable. I got some white vermouth with the 4 entres - not good nor bad. We were also served liverpaté in the shape of a pig - they heated it at the table with a creme brullé burner. That was fun. The liver paté was OK - but it needed some contrast - in itself it was a bit dull. Then we had Fois Gras with pear sorbet - here there was some contrast that lacked earlier - but there was also something very sweet - that reminded me of the sprinkles you put on an ice cream - it was way too sweet, and it would have been better without. We also had a fish croquette - which was dull and quite tasteless - but presented itself well (do de pit across the street - do crouquettes much better and way cheaper)These were all entres. First main was scallop - which in my taste was a little undercooked. The texture of garniture was unpleasant (fatty bacon and soft pinenuts in cream). The white wine served here had a bouquet of smelly socks. Then Fish - I liked the texture and the taste of the fish - the garniture needed seasoning though. The wine served had no bouquet. Then there was porc - with a nice sauce of brandy and an OK red wine. For dessert we had cheesecake - the taste was flat. The wine was a little sparkling and sweet - OK. Then we had Chocolate mouse - brownie - cherry dessert. The cherry was good - the mousse was OK - the brownie was uniteresting - too much flower too little chocolate. The wine was fine. We had a waitress with a tattoo - she was great. The court yard was cosy and they played nice music. But the food looked so much better than it tasted and that is why I call it pretentious. I would have given the place 2,5 if I could - but you can't - and the food was just not good enough for a medium review, - and since there are so many other good restaurants in Soller, I really can not recommend this place - even though the others don't have a bib. On our way home we talked about, if maybe the chef had the day off ...... that would make sense.
Be the first to ReplyUnimaginative food and not very welcome
Last time I visited this restaurant , (2018) I said that it was one of my favourite restaurants in Soller , and that the food was delicious and well presented. I also said that a non meat option for the tasting menu were not a problem ( but maybe unimaginative). Sadly I can’t say the same about my recent visit. We had the tasting menu which is basically what’s on offer. We didn’t feel that we had a particularly warm welcome…there was something cold about the environment. My request for a non meat alternative to the meat course seemed problematic…rather than “ no problem madam, I’ll ask chef what alternatives he can provide and let you know “. I was presented with another white fish course , again unimaginative, making it 2 white fish dishes in a tasting menu. Having told the waiter that I didn’t eat meat, a meaty amuse bouche was served up. The starter had no flavour. This meal was my most expensive in Soller and the least imaginative and there were no ‘fresh’ flavours. For example, I’d have liked some fresh vegetables, and the dessert would have benefited from fresh fruit, or a sharp contrast to the plateful of the same creamy textures. What has changed since my last visit?... A new chef and the impact of covid? Sorry not to be more positive.
Be the first to ReplyWith a set menu and no choice they have no excuse not to be outstanding
Three courses, €35. Very reasonable. Only choice - do you want to swap out the cod for the prawns at an extra €12.50 (read the reviews on here and that’s an easy no). So it should be excellent right? Bib gourmand, same menu for everyone, chefs showcase. The amuse bouche was a kind of vegetable spring roll, fine but flavourless. Next up the cod appetiser was well cooked but also dull. The lentil sauce, too much of it and too bland. Oh well it’s fish, but the confit lamb, surely that will be packed with flavour. Wrong. Nice enough, obviously tender, but strangely bland and mushy again and with baked onions hmmm. And then straight into dessert - a lazy choice of cottage cheese and ice cream. From start to finish the meal was soft bland and blah - we felt like we’d been fed baby food. Oh and don’t think about taking up the wine pairing. We ordered it initially - an extra €30 per head so almost as much as the meal. When we hadn’t even been offered a glass by the time the appetiser arrived we swapped out and ordered a local white wine for €30 a bottle, and there were plenty cheaper and by the glass. Not sure why our hotel recommended this place but if yours does, ask for somewhere else.
Be the first to ReplyMichelin star, no.
The tasting menu may be fairly priced but the sought after Soller shrimp dish was insipid and the tiny venison medallion over cooked . I’ve never been charged for a piece of bread in a fine restaurant, I’d rather they raise the price of the menu than do something like that. The service was more than fine, but the overall experience and food were not Michelin level. Also, plastic succulents on the table in an elegant place? And when they grow so easily on the island .. that’s just a turn off.

Had an exceptional meal. Could not fault it, and at the price, was amazing. Flavours delicate and well balanced. Every mouthful made you want another. Staff helpful and hard working but one more might have been even better. This is a must go to place, if you staying in the area. I would rate the kitchen here very highly.
Many thanks.
Very nice gourmet restaurant (definitely worth driving for)
Again trip advisor helped us in the search for a good tasting experience. We were not at all disappointed after driving to Sòller for this restaurant. Excellent tasting menu and wine paring! Very nice service and a lovely little restaurant in a street you could easily walk by without noticing. Sitting outside in the back yard under the stars is so nice.
Be the first to ReplyNice tasting menu with a but
Lovely patio in a traditional Soller house to have the tasting menu which was carefully prepared and nicely served, although rather slowly with long gaps between courses. The calderetta de gambas (shrimp stew) had an extra charge of 9 euros if you chose it instead of the fish fillet course, but consisted of just three small shrimps in a shrimp sauce, hugely overpriced. The best was the truffle butter served with one small slice of their own carob bread and another of white bread. We were eventually charged extra 3.50 euros for two more small slices of carob bread!! To our surprise and objection the (young foreign) waitress instructed us rudely that in Spain you always have to pay for extra bread!!! Her inappropriate behaviour spoilt our experience in an otherwise potentially good and pleasant restaurant. Another aspect to point out is that there is no menu or prices laid down except the two fixed menus with or without wine pairing and drinks.

From the outside you wouldn't expect the amazing experience you get when dining at this restaurant, We sat in a rear courtyard and enjoyed a 4 course tasting menu with accompanying wines. Unless you're very hungry, I would go for the 4 courses rather than 8. Food was outstanding and the wines well paired. The staff were attentive and helpful, throroughtly explaining each dosh. A lovely experience,
