Came to this highly rated restaurant ready to be impressed, left disappointed. It's a fixed price/fixed menu and we had the optional wine pairing. The dinner was served in many small courses and we spent about two hours with them. The food ranged from inspired to awful, and was mostly just OK - far below expectations for a dinner that cost over $500 USD for two. The optional wine pairing was inconsistent at best and a huge disappointment given that we could have had a couple of really fine bottles of wine at a much lower cost. The restaurant was not very busy and service was very attentive, perhaps overly so. There are so many better and less spendy options in Lisbon, skip this one.

This was an excruciating rip offGorgeous placeNot at all transparent about the fact that there is no menu and it is only a tasting menuLots of glitz and fast talking Tries way too hard Super expensive for very sub par foodFeel like I was pick pocketed Stay away!
Be the first to ReplyAverage at best.
Service was great but the food wasn't flavorful, and after going to a similar tasting menu the night before we were all equally disappointed. The only dish on the serving menu that stood out was the fish dish. Everything else was bland, lacked flavor, and didn't wow any of us. Def recommend you go somewhere else especially for the price. Definitely will not be back. The wine pairing was done very well and again the service was on point.
Be the first to ReplyStumbled across this place and it was amazing.
I'm from the West Village in Manhattan and would love something like this close by. We had the upgraded wine sampling that included 3 whites/green, 1 red, and a port.

My entire experience here was exceptional! The food was inventive and delicious. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. They served Portugese wines exclusively which were beautifully paired with our meal.

Be the first to ReplyFood driven by passion is my own passion.
"100" delivers this passion across every dimension. The room, the staff, the menu, the presentation, the dinnerware and the wines express earnest exuberance for the wonders of Portugal. I could talk about the food endlessly, it is excellent and endlessly innovative, but the engagement and belief of this team in the vision stands apart. When a clothesline of codfish chips hanging from miniature clothespins appears, it's much more than a novel presentation of a simple dish restating the core of Portuguese cuisine - it's a love song to the city that first joined the corners of our world. And, so this passion extends through ten wonderful courses, paired with excellent wines that force rethinking of French varietal hegemony. I highly recommend the premium wine pairing. These wines, often from blends of ten or more ancient Portuguese varieties, wake up your palate with unique, distinctive profiles. In short, I can't imagine being anywhere near Lisbon without celebrating dinner at this wonderful, very special spot.
Be the first to ReplyA very special experience.
Amazing, delicately prepared food with thoughtful wine pairings and a great attitude by the staff. Memorable highlights included a seafood tartare course on a caviar-like bed and gazpacho broth, a complex pork belly dish which was so well balanced and satisfying, and a chocolate decadence for dessert with all kinds of meringue and ice cream, called "James Brown". Ten courses, all of which I liked so much. Not dirt cheap by any means - $225 for dinner for 2 with wine pairing and opening glasses Madeira and coffee. That was the price without restraint - totally worth it, and what to do for a special evening in Lisbon.
Be the first to ReplyI agree that the pricing for their tasting menu is great.
However, the actual food wasn't so awesome. A lot of the efforts to do something creative (like the squid ink cappuccino) fell flat. That particular item was actually unpalatable, and normally I'm a fan of anything flavored with squid ink, but ughhh. I really wanted to like this place, but it was so disappointing. The three stars are because they were definitely making an effort, but I wouldn't go back. The service was very good though, and everyone was polite and friendly.
