Today they lost a star.
Food was fabulous as was the professional service with a flaw. I asked not to be rushed. I was fine with 4 courses in an hour! I hate that. I think I posed off the waiter when he came to ask if I wanted dessert. I told him I'd let him know in 30 minutes when I finish my wine

We wanted something a bit less hectic than standing around trying to fight for space for some free tapas and decided it was high time to shell out some money for substantial food. Plus, I was starting to miss steak. We made a same day reservation and came here when they opened around 8. We were able to order in Spanish but all of the waiters seemed to speak English and so we had a great time talking to them without me stumbling to remember my vocabulary from college. We ordered two second courses and two main courses because we panicked and were starving. Yes, it was too much food but oh my was it delicious! Grilled turbot, entrecote (ribeye), tuna, and creamy rice with squid. My boyfriend and I ate everything family style and had a lovely time. I realized after that they didn't even ask how I liked my steak but it came out perfectly cooked to a medium rare. I was a happy customer and can't recommend this place highly enough. With the four dishes we ordered plus 4 glasses of wine, the bill was 100 Euros. I felt like for the quality, it was a steal.
Be the first to ReplyWe had an amazing meal with excellent service.
We shared the oxtail, roasted peppers and fish tower, the best lobster croquettes I've ever had and a calamari one octopus plate. Menu had some amazing sounding dishes. As just a couple it make it hard to decide. I had A delicious toro and it was only 18 euro !!!!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and service.
We had a 9 pm reservation for 4, ordered 6 dishes which was probably one too many as the portions were generous. They brought one dish at a time at a relaxed pace and we finished with their complimentary chocolate truffles and coffee at 1130.We tried the beans and asparagus with poached egg, the creamy risotto with squid and octopus and squid ink, they had a sea bream tempura (our fave of night served with a delicious aioli), hake served with Mediterranean flavors, oxtail stew, and lamb chops. All prepared simply but very tasty and cooked perfectly (the rice was al dente, the squid tender as can be, etc)And the check per person including wine and sparkling water was about 50 a person and we could have had one less dish and still been full.Highly recommend for solid delicious Spanish food

This was the best tapas experience in Madrid! Wonderful atmosphere and delicious wine. The bar area is where you want to go!
Be the first to ReplyBright and modern space, with two sections: informal bar
Bright and modern space, with two sections: informal bar area, and dining room with white tablecloths. On a Saturday night, both the bar and dining rooms were packed. The bar especially gets crowded, with a convivial atmosphere and everyone seeming to have a good time. I made reservations and sat in the dining room, where there are bigger plates on offer. While there are some meat options, the menu is predominantly seafood. I had the salad with asparagus, green beans and eggs, as well as the baby octopus. Both were absolutely delicious, and all ingredients seemed fresh. The cooking style is more simple -- not much adulteration, and allows the ingredients to stand more on their own. Besides excellent food, prices are also quite reasonable for Madrid, given the quantity and quality of food. Dessert was arroz con leche and mango -- also delicious! I'll definitely come back here when visiting Madrid
