Not to be missed for the gastronome! Spectacular!!
We opted for the 175 menu. Ok, not in everyone's budget but a Michelin starred place this spectacular? Worth every penny! The art used to present the dishes was memorable and we've great experience. WInes very reasonable, and that is never the case in France or NYC... A series of very inventive dishes. Lots of interesting vegetables. Reserve! The personnel speaks fine english.

Great food and experience! Especially liked the tasting prior to sitting down. Very gracious hosts. Wish they had higher quality beers to choose from.
Be the first to ReplyIncredible - great service, wonderful presentation, great food
I would give the presentation of the food a 10/10, the service an 11/10, and the quality of the food a 9.5/10. Overall, a really great value Michelin experience that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. A great visit when you're in Spain to experience creative Spanish Michelin food - one of the best I've done and for a great price.

We made a reservation for party of 8 on the week of December 13. We chose Gaytan b/c of its Michelin star & we highly anticipated the culinary exp. The ease of reservation the week before was strange but chalked it up to luck.
I was with the group that arrived early & was greeted by a friendly chef. He was very welcoming and we were handed off to a not so friendly matradee/manager who appeared more concerned about the timing than the guests' exp.
The matradee/manager was visibly annoyed as our second party arrived 25min late (completely understandable).
We were served to a nicely plated & visually appealing meal accompanied by a tasty wine ( w/ help of a sommelier, who was part of our group). The entire exp, took little over 3 hours.
The wait staff was initially little less than friendly (but they eventually warmed up). The staff was unaware of the ambient noise that would drawn out their voices as they were describing the food that we consumed.
Post exp.: 3 members of our group became ill the day after. The sommelier of the group became ill prior to his morning flight back to U.S. & was bed ridden. Our friend from Italy also became ill & our interpreter was hospitalized & required IV.
I cannot say with certainty that it was Gayon's food however, the timing & consumption by those who became ill are all too similar to just chalk it up to a coincidence. Maybe it was not a coincidence that it was easy to get a reservation to place after all.
Very good
Really enjoyable!! Great food, great service and good wine pairing! An experience :) downside was the pre drink. But from there it went straight up
