As expensive as it is, it is one of the best dim sum I've had around the world. The dishes are not too special or anything but the taste is just better. Loved everything I had from char siew puff to radish cakes to scallop dumplings. Everything is delicious. You can taste that things are made fresh with fresh ingredients so the flavors of the ingredients really shine. Highly recommend for a special occasion or if you are visiting and wanted the experience. Service is top notch too.

Loved our items. Will go back. I'd say the veggie dumplings and the soft noodle with veggie were our faves. The shrimp with cashew didn't have much flavor.

Lovely dim sum -- a pocket of home in London! The crispy, flavorful lobster puffs and their house special chang fen were especially tasty. Service is great as well.Dined: August 21, 2021
Be the first to ReplyGenerally good food but for the price it's overrated.
ย The dim sum is salty and greasy. ย Presentation is nice. ย Seating within the restaurant is relatively packed so considering COVID circumstances this is less favourable. The usual standard items were good so it's worth going once. ย I'd prefer to go down the street to the regular Royal China though.

Used to be excellent but has gotten very sloppy over the years and more misses than hits now, at high prices. ย Recently went for dinner - duck was horribly dry and nearly inedible. ย Tofu app also dry. ย Japanese tofu main was good, as was the HK fried rice.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious upscale dim sum restaurant.
The dishes were consistently very good, and the staff helpful and friendly.

Amazing, delicious food in a more traditional upscale atmosphere with accordingly higher prices. It is not only a dim sum place! My wife had vegetarian dim sum with a very good presentation and really great taste. My older daughter had one of the vegetarian main dishes with spinach but this was rather disappointing, because more a side dish.My younger daughter had a chicken plate and was very happy, which is very rare.I had the fried tofu with salt and spice which was really the best I ever had. The waiters were very friendly and quick.

More casual full of people all the time. Food is good. Pork buns were ok not the best in London.
Be the first to ReplyGreat dim sum selections in a centrally located spot.
The more upscale branch. Beware of ordering even simple items that aren't on the menu. They charged me $10 for a regular iced tea (the cost of 2 dim sum entrees) and $12 for a corn soup.

I think this is one of the worst Chinese restaurant I've been to. To start with the service, the staff were very rude and kept collecting plates off the table ย whilst I was still eating and haven't finished. The attitude was very much "eat and leave". ย I wouldn't of minded the service so much if the food was excellent. We ordered the following four mains:- Szechuan chicken: was dry deep fried chicken just smothered over dry chillies and no sauce. - roast duck: the skin wasn't crispy although the meat was tender. -peppercorn veal : The texture and colour of the meat was so strange that we weren't sure if it was veal or pork! There was a very sticky glaze all over it that smelt a lot like fish which made it inedible. - king prawns in ginger & spring onion: This was the only dish that we could eat I usually don't even like prawns but the prawns were huge and sauce was very nice. Although the waitress took away the bowl which meant I couldn't even smother the sauce on other dishes. Overall it was a very disappointing experience and I really wanted to enjoy it but I couldn't. If your stuck in Baker Street and fancy a Chinese go to the place across the street or Phoenix palace much better restaurants and value for money!
Be the first to ReplyVery appetising (also pricey) Cantonese food.
Worth waiting for more than half and hour on Sunday though.

A friend recommended this place to us based on her experience. She highly recommended the food. It's true; the food was great. Ambience was nice as well. Service was average at best. It's not that they were not attentive, it's the fact that they have an indifferent attitude. They never smiled while attending to us. The four stars is definitely based on the food alone. Would've been five if the service was just as great as their food. What a shame.

The best dim sum in London, some of the best I've had in the world. The rest of the selection is also quite high, a bit expensive but it's worth the price.
