Ruby's Diner Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
Arrived early to the airport so I decided to grab breakfast.
It was very early in the morning so there weren't many people in the restaurant. The place was clean, but the reason for the 2-star rating is as follows: Staff was very cold in demeanor, my order took a long time to get to me with so few people in the restaurant & my order was wrong and the food and coffee were cold. I left a tip as understand people work for them, but I won't be going there again.
Duped with crummy food.
I thought that the Burger came with fries - because you're spending $20 on a burger, which is insane but it is the airport so I thought OK. AND because the server asked "fries?" when I ordered the burger. Which I thought was a question on like, if I wanted something ELSE other than the fries that CAME with the burger. Imagine my surprise when I got the check and saw that the fries were extra - and seven dollars! Where do you get off charging seven dollars for fries? Seven!! Dollars!! And why didn't the server say they were extra? Why ask "Fries?" If they didn't just come with the burger?? It's not like I ASKED for fries, I just asked for the burger. Mr. server - if you're wondering why I tipped so poorly, it's because the fries ate your tip. I was contemplating leaving nothing. If you want a better tip in the future, I suggest stating "would you like fries? They are extra." Or just NOT asking altogether. I cannot believe I spent $36 here for just me. The burger wasn't even good. The "homemade guac" is just crushed avocados with nothing else in it. No flavor.
Service was absolute trash.
Messed up my order, never came around to fix it, charged me for items I didnt get, told me fixing the ticket would take a while because she's serving so many tables. Ended up just paying because my flight started to board early.
We decided to have dinner as a family at the airport before
We decided to have dinner as a family at the airport before our flight. We all were excited to have some dinner at a diner since we have very few in Vegas. As we showed up to the host stand, Carlos seemed bothered that we had a party of 8. He then walked away for a few minutes and came back and said he was unable to find any tables for us. He did offer a stand up table. He walked us over to the large tall table, provided us with menus and walked away. We quickly noticed that there were only 6 chairs for us to sit. We asked him if he could bring us so additional tables and he quickly said no and suggested we eat standing up. We kindly asked him if we could sit on the tables right next to our current tables and he said the station was closed. We were confused as the tables were literally next to us and other people were sitting in the "closed" section. We all agreed to eat standing up since we were going to have a good dinner for my daughter's 7th birthday. We noticed that we could order from a barcode on the table since Carlos took several minutes before coming to our table to take our drink order. As we're just about done ordering food, Carlos walked over and said he would take the order. We kindly told him we were just about done ordering thru the barcode. Very rudely he stated that we needed his authorization to order thru the barcode and that he would not authorized us to order thru the barcode. At this point we were 100% sure he was bothered by our presence and we decided to leave. We walked over right next door to CPK and received top notch service. Carlos should reconsider taking some customer service classes. Very rude and unprofessional. His appearance also looked unprofessional.
Okay, let's get the good out of the way: The food was good.
Maybe it was because we had just gotten out of a 10 hour flight, but we enjoyed our chicken tender basket (whatever sauce came with it was super good) and my friend liked her albacore melt. Now onto the bad: our server. Didn't get her name, but she had glasses and her hair was in a ponytail. WOW! I really try to sympathize because I'm in customer service and she was juggling tables but the attitude was off-putting and downright rude. I asked her a question about the food and she gave me a look like I said something stupid and responded sarcastically. I didn't read too much into that but my friends pointed out that she was rude (I'm honestly just a pushover so I try not to take it personally). But then she brought our food and we were supposed to get coleslaw with our basket. We asked about it and she said "nope, don't have it" super quickly and in a rude manner and rushed away. We were very confused because...if y'all ran out, why wouldn't you say anything if we paid for it?? And she didn't even try to give us a substitution or anything. Again, I really try to sympathize because it's an airport diner and not a big deal at the end of the day, but she was also quick (attitude wise) with other customers. Also, don't expect regular Ruby's prices, but that's a given since it's in an airport.
She's so mean like we must eat here and no choice.
Geez chill lady! She need to learn customer service, she shouldn't be working here if she don't like her job. Airport workers sucks! All rude!
Better go to Starbucks next door.
The breakfast options are very limited, the lighting is very bright with a nauseous guess that they don't stop talking, and no milk for your coffee.
I get why they have such a low rating .
wife and I walk In and bar was full , so we sat down at a table. went up to the bartender and ordered a beer and a water he was great $2 tip on a $9 beer, sat down and wife and I were not wanting a full meal , went up to waitresses serving that area and asked if we could order some French fries . she practically bit my head off, asked me who sat us at that table , said no one , we ordered a beer and sat down. I ask is there a problem , we are already paying customer. I get "sit down I will get to you " she just ignored us . I ask again may we order fries and she just became ugly. when she finally comes to us I told the only thing I need is a manager. it sure why the angry service , I could see if they were busy , but even that was not the case
Purposefully ignored as I stood waiting to place a to go
Purposefully ignored as I stood waiting to place a to go order. Waited for at least 10 minutes as they ignored me then asked those behind me for their order.
I dined at Ruby's Diner with my mom recently.
I liked the food. I had The Classic burger. We shared a side of Onion Rings. The burger was a good size and there were ample onion rings. I thought service was fine.
A diner.
The food is ok, burrito was pretty good. However, the waitress proposed a hash brown on the side, and I realised it is an extra payment already on a check :(.
Absolutely awful.
They stop serving breakfast at 930am?? Who the hell wants a hamburger at 930am? Their big sign says breakfast but I guess that's just at early hours. Idiots

I went to Ruby's Diner very late on a Sat night when probably only a few flights arriving or leaving LV. It wasn't very crowded because of the time. I was seated promptly & ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger & Fries. There was a lone male waiter manning the tables & he was fast, polite & friendly. A female server brought my food out quickly. To my disappointment, both the burger & fries were cold - it's no wonder it (pre-cooked) came out so quickly. Due to past negative experience, I never send food back to the kitchen. I guess at this time of the workshift, everyone is tired & wants to go home. Should have gone next door to CPK - at least the pizza is made hot. Late night travelers - be warned. I fly to Vegas often, but other than for breakfast, I won't be going to Ruby's at night again.
Don't go here...
Bad service... Food was overpriced and not great. Gave me the wrong bill when we finished eating.. It took a long time to correct it... And when I check my Visa statement... They tripled billed me.. Now, I have to make an international call to try to get them to correct it...what a joke.

Amber is one of the best servers that I have had the experience of having, during my time here in Vegas! I asked her for her recommendation for lunch and she didn't disappoint! The Tuna melt on garlic toast with light batter onion rings is to die for! You get a king's ransom portion!!
Stopped here for breakfast.
Not much options so we made do. Staff was pleasant. However the food was very bland and the coffee wasn't that great. I was also disappointed they didn't serve waffles or a vegan breakfast meat option. We ordered a coffee, pineapple juice, and two veggie omelets. It came with hash browns a slice of toast (butter & jelly). The veggies in the omelet were spinach, diced tomatoes and mushrooms. I prefer the vegetables in my omelette's to be cooked and these weren't. The cheese was melted though, thank god! After adding salt, pepper and ketchup I was able to at least eat half of it. The cost of the meal was just under $60. I can't say I necessarily recommend it, but I also can't say I wouldn't stop there again if hungry enough with no other options.
For a fast food dinner, Ruby's has got everyone else
For a fast food dinner, Ruby's has got everyone else beat! $$ out of five in price, but for out of five in taste, five out of five in service and value. Four chicken fingers with a big box of fries will run you $17 about the same as Macdonald if you got the same amount of food. Remember, the prices are supposed to be higher in the airport! The atmosphere is "Fifties Diner". They serve beer, soft drinks, water, apple juice, etc. definitely worth the stop if you're hungry! I read one review that mentioned convenience is gone since it's not a sit down restaurant. I've been working at LAS and you have two options, but at the register and sit down to eat or sit down and have the wait staff come and take your order. Nothing has changed.
Friendly enough
At Ruby's Diner the Denver omelette was a hit, well-cooked and satisfying. The coffee was decent, but the service left a bit to be desired—slightly slow but friendly enough. Plastic containers for the food felt odd, and the prices seemed a tad high for the overall quality. The ambiance was standard airport diner, functional but not exceptional.
Quick and Excellent
Quick and Excellent. We had the salad with chicken and the turkey club house sandwich, which were both good. They have Chilula and Tabasco at every table. Our server was great and attentive with a real sense of humor. The best part was it was quick in case you’re running late.
Typical airport restaurant - don't expect much
Service was slow even it wasn't busy at all. Waitress didn't bother to greet although she was a bit nicer when we paid and left. Food was mediocre, not cheap. Soup was barely warm and super thick. Caesar salad wasn't freshly made but pre-packed in the plastic takeout container. Don't expect much at this place.
Good Airport Coffee & Omelette
Say at the bar for breakfast. Pretty good coffee and the Denver omelette was pretty good as well. Guy behind the bar knew his business and I was in and out at my own pace.
Nasty manager!
Food is always great but today aKAREN “manager scolded me - “to go is to go!”… so rushed. All I wanted to do was sit and eat breakfast. Plenty of tables available. The nice lady who took my order said all orders were to go. Thanks for ruining my trip, you KAREN bish!
Slow. Avoid if in a hurry
Avweage food (tenders n fries) slow service. Slow seating, slow ordering, slow food to table. Had to get up and get napkins myself. Service is friendly, just slow and disorganized. Avoid if close to your flight boarding time
Breakfast at Las Vegas airport
this place is way over priced. You order with a cashier ..I understand if it was good..We were at the Las Vegas airport early morning yesterday and looking to have breakfast..everything served in plastic containers with plastic forks . Soggy hash browns with rubber bacon.Rude staff..She said what kind of toast? I said what are the options she acted like I should of known the options..the eggs were runny. The toast was a slice of bread not even toasted. seriously I tried contacting the corporation for my money back it was 36.00 for 2 terrible servings..avoid this place
Will not go back!
Omelet was tasteless. It arrived with toast on top of the omelet so it was soggy and coffee was black water. Waste of $50.00 for 2.
